The Cloth & Paper Stationery Subscription Box is a monthly stationery subscription box from lifestyle and stationery shop, Cloth & Paper.

In addition to the Stationery Subscription Box, Cloth & Paper offers a pens-and-pencils-focused subscription called "Penspiration," as well as a subscription that's the two boxes combined into one.

With the Stationery subscription (what I'm reviewing today), you can expect 5-8 items, including desk items like paper pads, pens, note cards, and journals, as well as some occasional lifestyle goodies. According to their site, this box focuses on much-loved brands, too, including CLEANSE by Lauren Napier, MUSE BEAUTY, Smitten On Paper, Rifle Paper Co, Studio Sarah London, Katie Leamon, Tools to LiveBy, and their own designs.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Cloth & Paper

The Cost: The Penspiration subscription is $18.00 a month, the Stationery Box is $38.00 a month, and the Penspiration & Stationery Box is $48.00 a month. Save with 3, 6, and 12-month pre-pay plans. Free U.S. shipping.

The Products: 5-8 stationery (and sometimes, lifestyle finds) from notable brands, as well as from Cloth & Paper's collection.

Ships to: Worldwide

This review is of the Cloth & Paper Stationery, $38 a month, box.

It looks like Cloth & Paper has changed their packaging slightly from previous months. Instead of a box that opens up, it came in a thinner-grade heavy paper envelope, which got a little crushed in the mail. That's not a big deal, since everything inside made it here safely. Their info card is one-sided and lists the items included this month with their value. They also give a hint as to what next month's box will entail.

Smitten on Paper Sketchbook - Listed Value $16.00

What a gorgeous sketchbook! Blue is my favorite color, and I love this pale hue with the gold foil lettering. This beauty is 6" x 8" and spiral-bound, and it consists of 60 pages of 70 lb. text weight paper. I like to envision myself seated at my vintage Drexel desk at home, sketching away in this (except that I'm terrible at drawing)!

The Ordinary Greeting Card - Listed Value $5.00

This is an elegant gold foil flat card that comes with a black linen envelope. Finding magic in ordinary things or places can be hard, so this is a perfect card to send to someone who needs that reminder.

Minimal To Do List - Listed Value $10.90

I am the biggest list writer in the history of list writers. Even though my phone is handy to put calendar reminders in, I will ALWAYS prefer to write "to do" or grocery lists by hand on paper with a pen. The minimal design speaks to me, and I appreciate the little bubbles to the left side. I can put a satisfying check mark to each task once it's done.

Foiled Planner Pad - Listed Value $14.00

Oh yes! Load me up with pads of paper to write lists on! How did they know that I also date all of my lists? They've even made a space for me to do so at the bottom here, and put a place to circle the corresponding day that I need to get it done on, all in gold foil, of course! The paper of this is nice and heavy; very enjoyable to write on with the heavy glide-y pen.

Icon Pen - Listed Value $17.90

When I first saw this pen I thought it looked a little "executive" for my tastes, but then I wrote with it and changed my mind and deemed it awesome. I love weird Japanese pens in fun colors, but it's good to mix it up and have a nice grown up pen like this, as well. It's really heavy and glides across the page with such grace. Well done.

Verdict: This month's Cloth & Paper Stationery Box had fewer items than last month, but the value of each seemed great. The cost of this box is $38.00 (which includes free shipping), and the value placed on it is over $63, which I agree with. Each piece is a high-quality stationery item, and they're all well designed. I'm really excited to see what kind of sophisticated items they'll send in next month's delivery!

What was your favorite Cloth & Paper Stationery Box item?

Oooo, this looks lovely, but kind of expensive. I love stationery and pens, and I sub to LaPapierre and iPen currently. Although I’m sure this is wonderful, I’d like to see lots more stationery for the high cost.
