There was an information card in the box listing the items. It also had my cats’ names – even Angus!

Cotton Candy & Chocolate Syrup Ice Cream Toy from Feline Fun Shop –Value $7.82

Summer Squash Yellow Starfish Toy from Feline Fun Shop –Value $6.25

FelineFun is a new-to-me Etsy maker of cute catnip toys. They are located in Canada and most of their toys are food-themed. Angus thought both of these were awesome and they seem to have held up to some violent kitten play so far.

The Late Bloomer Bow Tie + Collar Matching Set from Cat Couture – Listed Value $35

It seems like you get a cat collar and bowtie about every other month from this subscription. Of course, since I have five cats, I still need a couple of more months’ worth to have one for each kit. These are expandable to fit larger cat necks (Madison has a really thick neck compared to my others). This is a little bit heavy with the metal buckle, though. I kind of hope to see the plastic buckles back for future months. This is really well-made and sturdy.

Lollipop – Value $0.25?

There’s always a piece of candy for humans in this box. They don’t list it on the information card, it’s just a fun extra.

Premium All-Natural Salmon Treat from Nava Pets (3 oz) – Value $4 (buy a 6-ounce bag for $7.99)

These are grain free and the first three ingredients are salmon, whitefish, and chicken. They’re made in the USA, too. Sneaky thought they were pretty great. This smaller sample-sized bag is not resealable, but it looks like the larger one at the link up above is.

Weruva BFF Tuna and Turkey Tickles Food – Value $0.95 (buy a 12 pack for $11.40)

This was a hit. I tried taking photos of my cats eating it but they all turned out badly (usually with half of Sneaky’s body blocking my view). Sneaky, Monkey, and Madison all went wild over it. (Mr. Kitty can’t have it and Angus was a bit too shy to butt in.)

Premium Optimal Vitality Food from Wysong – Listed Value $3

I am not sure how much is in this bag so I took the value from the information card. This food brand is new to me. I am trying to get my cats to eat wet food, actually, but found that this worked well as a treat. This is low in carbohydrates (cats can’t usually process carbohydrates very well) and also includes some probiotic organisms.

Gratuitous cat photo time.

I was all set to take a picture of Monkey and Angus inspecting the box and then this happened.

I got the collar on Sneaky this month. Sort of.

Yes, that is a work glove I am wearing as I feed Sneaky treats. She bit me really hard while I was photographing KitNipBox earlier this month…

And here are my three older guys modeling the collar. (I did not try with Angus. Last time I tried with Angus, I had to chase him all over the house – for a long time – to get it back off again.)

Verdict: I calculated a value of $57.27 for the June 2017 Whiskerbox. Even if you think the price for the collar is a little high, that is comfortably over the cost of the subscription. I have to admit, I do enjoy putting costumes on my cats and taking pictures, so this box is a great fit for me. I also like getting more premium food and treat brands, as well as discovering new Etsy sellers. My cats enjoyed the food and treats, too (if not the collar so much…).

That picture of Monkey and Angus cracked me up. My cats are like that, too.
