La Gazette May 2017

This subscription also comes with a short magazine that tells you more about the jewelry selected for this month along with a profile on the designer.

Great News – when you sign up for this subscription, you can select if you prefer gold or silver jewelry (and clip on or pin earrings).

And each box comes with a branded postcard:

Now, time for the jewelry!

4 Crosses Elsa Earrings – Value $69

(Subscribers received these in either gold or silver, and clip on or pierced depending on their preferences.) I love that this subscription offers a non-pierced earring option. (Usually, I’m used to subscription boxes sending an alternative item like a bracelet.)

These earrings are made of gold brass. (The measure about 2 inches long in the drop.) The gold version is accented with a sea bamboo coral bead. (And the silver version has a red quartzite bead.)

Here they are on:

They are comfortable to wear, and they are about as flashy as I’m willing to go with earrings! I love the delicate looped chain and the little gold charms that show movement and catch the light.

All Emma & Chloe pieces also come with a certificate of authenticity:

Verdict: I think this is a fab jewelry subscription. It’s quality over quantity, and this piece is definitely impressive, and something I feel good paying $35 for. If you love delicate jewelry like I do, I highly recommend this subscription.

Plus I love that they let you specify if you want gold or silver – I think that really helps cut out the risk of this subscription.

And the packaging and presentation of this subscription box are amazing. This definitely qualifies as a gift to yourself – it was so fun to unbox!

  1. I joined 2 months ago and immediately changed my mind about wanting gold items, not silver. I emailed them and within an hour they had answered me. When they sent out my first box they emailed me again saying it would be a gold piece, not silver. I found them to be very responsive and super nice in their emails. I absolutely LOVE this sub.

  2. I have this sub and prefers silver on my account but they keep sending me gold😞. I cancelled

    • Was it easy to cancel? I’ve been debating whether I should subscribe, but keep hesitating because it took them almost a week to respond to my initial query. That wasn’t the best indication of their customer service! But I’ve liked most of their recent items. Sigh.

      • I cancelled with no issue. They’ve always responded to me in a day or so

        • Ok, good to know. Thanks!

  3. This box drives me crazy! I want to sub to it, but I only like about half of what they send out. But the other half, I usually love! And since it’s one piece per month, that $35 is down the tube if I don’t like it.

    Arg.

    Meanwhile, I love those earrings.

  4. If anyone is interested in the earrings in silver tone, clip version, mine are up for swap…my swap name is CaliforniaJanet. They’re really pretty…I just don’t wear earrings!

  5. Liz! The earrings look great on you but I’d LOVE to know what lipstick you are wearing 🙂

  6. Those earrings look great on you Liz!

    • Thanks so much, Sharon! 🙂

    • They definitely do look great!

  7. Very pretty earrings. I wanted to get this sub when cratejoy had 50% off offer, but for some reason it did not work for VIP sub :(.
