Now, on to the items!
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask –7.5 ml Value $14.50
This mask is a gel that dries and tightens as you wear it for 20 minutes. I didn’t think I noticed a difference at first after removing the mask – but then I touched my face. My skin has NEVER been smoother!
It gets great reviews for helping with acne, too. (And smells so natural and lovely!)
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer – 10 ml Value $17.35
You might not be able to tell from the photo, but this super luxe primer has gold flecks in the formula! I use a full-coverage foundation, so they are lost on me, but if you use a sheer foundation, you’ll get a little glow from this primer!
Even without the gold flecks showing through, I am super impressed with this primer. I used it on only half my face before applying foundation, and I could immediately tell a difference in the side with the primer. It made my pores much less visible, and my skin looked smoother.
And like with all good primers, you only need to use a little bit, so this sample should last me for weeks!
Deco Miami Nail Lacquer in Feeling Fuego – Value $12.50
(All subscribers will receive this color.)
This color is a high-shine coral – super summery! And how cute is the packaging?
(This bottle is tinier than some nail polishes. For reference, it is 6 ml and Julep is 8 ml.)
I almost got full coverage with one coat but went with two to be safe. Here it is on:
It held up well for days without chips, too.
St. Tropez Bronzing Face Sheet Mask – Value $9
First, props to Allure Beauty Box for getting a newly released product in this box! I have seen this mask in magazines and I’ve been wanting to try it! (I’m on a never-ending quest for the perfect face self-tanner.)
To use this mask, you’ll apply it like a regular sheet mask, but make sure to wash your hands after to prevent them from getting a tan as well! Leave it on for 5 minutes for a light tan, 10 minutes for a medium tan, or 10 minutes for a dark tan.
I like that you can customize your tan level just by how long you leave the mask on. And I thought, “go big or go home,” so I went for the full 15 minutes.
After you remove it, they recommend massaging any excess product into your skin. The product seemed really evenly distributed already, so I just let it air dry. (It took about another 20 minutes, and still had a bit of a tacky finish.)
The color developed over the next two hours, and it is amazingly even! And not orange, either! The only thing I was surprised about was that the tan was not darker considering I left it on for 15 minutes.
I’m not sure I would spend $9 for every time I wanted to use it, but I definitely was impressed!
John Frieda Frizz Ease Keraflex Hairspray – 2 oz Value $4
This hairspray has a fine mist and a flexible hold. My favorite part is that the scent is subtle – and no “hairspray smell” either!
Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Booster Serum – 7.8 ml Value $20.30
(Good to know for swaps – this product has an inner foil seal)
This serum is designed to hydrate the skin and minimize the appearance of wrinkles. It has the signature green apple Juice Beauty scent (which I love), and it’s a light serum that absorbs almost immediately.
(If you aren’t familiar with Juice Beauty, they use all natural and organic ingredients, and their products are cruelty-free.)
I think this is great for summer, and you can wear it during the day under makeup.
Verdict: Can I give my verdict in gif form?
Allure, I think this is your best beauty box of the year! Amazing sample sizes, luxe brands, high value, and new-to-market products! And a value of about $78! More of this, please!
