The 'Stretch' box was like an introduction to yoga - it included everything you needed to get started.
You'll get an information card with every shipment. It will give you details about the items along with tips and suggestions based around the theme.
YogaRat RatMat - Value $30
This box is intended to get you rolling with yoga- so, naturally, the big item in the box is a new yoga mat from YogaRat.
I don't do yoga, so I don't know what constitutes a great mat. But, as someone considering starting - this box is probably aimed more towards me than the experience yoga enthusiast. Overall, the mat was soft but had a nice spring to it.
Here are a few more details from YogaMat's site:
- Durable and springy, the RatMat’s foam construction contains no phthalates or toxic plasticizers
- Dimensions: 24" x 68" x 1/4" thick
- No latex, rubber, or toxic chemicals
- Ink used for printed styles is also nontoxic
Dovetail The Yoga Manual - Value $20
You'll also receive this nice little yoga primer - The Yoga Manual.
This book is geared towards yoga for men - so, again, this worked really well for me. Liz browsed through and picked out poses for me to try out. While it didn't go too well, I'm sure no one starts out as a superstar, right?
YogaRate Hand Towel - Value $12.50
To go along with your YogaRat mat, you'll get this YogaRat hand towel.
It's a microfiber towel, so it's soft but really absorbent.
Here are a few more details from YogaMat's site:
- Yoga Hand Towel Dimensions: 15" x 24"
- Super light at 3.2 oz.
- Easy care maintenance: machine wash (with like colors, cold) and tumble dry
- Textured 100% microfiber weave. Many uses outside of the yoga studio
Native Deodorant - Value $12
OK - first thing's first, this thing is pricey - but most natural deodorants are right around the same price - so it doesn't seem too inflated.
My issue with natural deodorant is that I usually don't like the smell and it doesn't seem to work too well for me. But, this Native deodorant seems to break the mold in both departments - I'm liking it!
EiR Post Session Salts - Value $4-5?
The last item is intended to help your post-yoga recovery. Warm up the bath and used this new set of bath salts to help with sore muscles.
The scent is pretty pleasing as well!
Verdict: This box did an excellent job for a yoga beginner like myself - it's a nice primer that takes you through your first yoga session all the way to the post-session relaxation. The value is great as well, which isn't abnormal for Bespoke Post - there's about $80 in value for $45 - that's great!
