Cat Lady Box is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The Cat Lady Box has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc. The Crazy Cat Lady Box contains everything from the Cat Lady Box plus a few items just for cats.

I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box.

Note: Pretty much every item in this box is exclusive so I have taken the values from the information card.

Modern Kitty Blank Cards (12 count) – Listed Value $9.99

There are three different designs here (insides are blank). They’re from artist Linda Tillman. The retro themes are so cute and it is always nice to have a stash of cards around in case they are needed. (It is especially nice when the stash of cards is largely made up of cat cards.)

Mid-Century Modern Cat Statues – Listed Value $29.99

These are a Cat Lady Box exclusive. They were very well-packaged and, as you can see, arrived in excellent shape. I am one of those people with about 1000 knick-knacks around so these fit right in.

Here they are on an Angus-inaccessible shelf!

Retro Kitty Dangle Earrings – Listed Value $19.99

These seem to be very nice quality based on the metal finish (super shiny and even). They are not too heavy even though they are long and dangly. I am super sensitive to most metals in my ears (even sterling silver and stainless steel) so I will either replace the hooks with titanium or niobium, or I will coat them with clear nail polish before wearing. (This subscription often has cat-themed jewelry, but I always find it tasteful.)

Mid-Century “Meowdern” Catnip Pillow – Listed Value $4.99

This was a Cat Lady Box exclusive and definitely, fits with the monthly theme. Plus, it is small, which means it’s more my cats’ style. Angus has already tossed this around a little bit. I put it in the bedroom but I am sure it will be downstairs by tomorrow if I know Angus. (We must always be on our toes so Nyx doesn’t get ahold of the cat toys…)

Fleece Bird Catnip Toy from Imperial Cat – Value $3.99

This is actually a refillable catnip toy but it came to us already filled. It is smaller than some of the other refillable toys from Imperial Cat (we get a lot of those in Cat Claws Club), and Monkey seemed particularly interested in it.

Gratuitous cat photo time. (Fair warning, but they were all pretty sleepy when I was opening this box, so these may not be the most exciting photos ever.)

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $69 for the April 2017 (Crazy) Cat Lady Box. Although I had to take almost all the prices from the information card, the overall value seems reasonable to me. (Even if you think something is inflated a bit, I still think you are getting more than your money’s worth.) You can’t get these items anywhere else, and the theme was particularly fun this time around. This was a pretty good month for me (and my cats) from Cat Lady Box.

What do you think of the April Cat Lady Box? Do you subscribe to any cat boxes?

  1. This is one of the best boxes out there with consistantly quality items. I dont even have a cat and have considered subscribing!

  2. Not only do I love the items in this box, but the refillable fleece bird is the first cat toy that Casanova has openly fought me to play with for in the almost 3 years he’s lived with us, so a double victory! Usually the only way we know if he plays with his toys is that we find them in different places than they were the day before; this time he grabbed it out of my hand and wouldn’t give it back.

  3. This was my first cat themed box and my cats LOVED their catnip treats (even though they have a million others lying around the house)!

Thanks for the kitty photos- always a treat. Besides, who better to review a cat box than a kitty?

The cat earrings are cute, but I can’t pull them off. Mine are up for swap! Packaging indicates they are nickel free.

  4. Not only are your cats cute, but I love seeing The Cloud Roads on your bookshelf! What a great series.

  5. The earring are so cute and those note cards are beautiful!!

  6. This is seriously one of my fave sub boxes. My kitties love the toys. They seem to pick ones with strong catnip!

  7. Love the photos of your cats with the toys. One of mine wouldn’t leave the box until I opened it. Once opened, he literally took the toys out of the box and rubbed them all over his face for a good 20 minutes. That entertainment alone was worth the price of the box for me!

I’m swapping the figurines and the notecards if anyone’s interested 😻
