Here's the info card for this month. This cute design will come up again in the box!
The back of the card not only lists out the products and theme of the box (this month, it's "Familiars and Companions"), but it also recommends fan-fave movies, TV shows, video games, books, and comics to look out for in the coming months!
Exclusive "Appa & Catbus" Tee - Value $15?
Remember the design from the info card? Here it is again, this time on a soft, pale-blue t-shirt! Appa, from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Catbus, from My Neighbor Totoro, are two of the biggest, fuzziest, squishiest companion critters I can think of. I love seeing them snuggled together on this soft, comfy tee!
Eevee Plush - Value $2.76
Adorable, fox-like Eevee is one of my favorite Pokemon. When I was younger, I'd imagine having a little Eevee who I could pet, play with, and take to battles. This little 5-inch-tall plush might be the closest I come to bringing that dream into reality, and I love it for that! It's so cute and super soft.
Exclusive Dr. Who Quote Sticker
This sturdy sticker is more of a decal. What appears white against the backing is actually clear, and the sticker itself is thick and smooth. Donna Noble is a companion in the most literal sense, having been the companion of the tenth doctor in Dr. Who. I like how they combined loopy, swirling font with austere, serif text. Super cool.
Exclusive Sailor Moon Luna and Artemis Necklace
Oh, how I adore Sailor Moon! This FanMail-made necklace was inspired by the crescents on the heads of Sailor Moon's kitty comrades, Luna and Artemis. Sailor Moon, cats, AND it's shiny gold? I love it! What a pretty, wear-it-anywhere tribute to one of my favorite fandoms.
Exclusive Star Wars BB-8 Pillowcase
Yay, BB-8! I definitely love this little droid, yet I'd never have imagined him in such a romantic setting! This original design sees him sitting in a bed of oversized roses. It's a little kooky, but hey, I like it!
The pillowcase fits the standard throw pillow on my couch. The fabric is a bit fuzzy, almost like flannel.
Exclusive Fantastic Beasts "No Nifflers Allowed" Bag
I always appreciate a canvas pouch—they're great for pens and pencils, makeup, travel, and more. Especially since this pouch features a niffler, a magical creature with an attraction to shiny things, I feel compelled to use this pouch to store jewelry and other blingy accessories.
Bookstr Notebook - Value $5.95
The Oprah quote on this pocket-sized notebook's band had me at hello. The pink color of the paper card notebook is just as uplifting as the quote.
This notebook comes with a bookmark, too. Inside the notebook pages, there's motivating messages and productivity tips.
There's not a lot of fandom-fodder here, but fans of organization will love this find!
Verdict: FanMail is a great box for folks whose fandoms span all sorts of shows and stories. This box had nods to anime, British TV, books, movies, and more. If you're more focused in your fanaticism, you run a bigger risk of not relating to all the items in the box. Lots of the items this month were exclusives, so I'd have to guess at the value. But think of it this way—there were 7 items in this $21.99 box, meaning at the very least, each item would be around $3.00 to make it worthwhile. I think that's the case here. Even if the Eevee plush is only $2.22 (which is lower than I'd have expected), other items like the notebook, the necklace, and the tee make up the difference!
