For March, there will be two new boxes from GlobeIn you can pick from! The second revealed theme for the upcoming GlobeIn March 2017 Box is… Dine!

Dearest foodies and lovers of food,

The word “dine” tends to call to mind the experience of going to a restaurant. But what if every humdrum meal were an opportunity to bring the things we so love about eating out around the home table?

So, disclaimer, this box does not include a wait staff, busser, or team of dishwashers, but it does contain a few carefully selected, handcrafted, choice ingredients, along with handmade tableware that will transport you to a fine dining state of mind.

You could go out—but why? Fanciness, flair, and adventures in flavor are all right here.

Enjoy!

And in case you missed the full spoilers for the first box for March, here are the full spoilers for the Unwind Box:

I got a “Surprise” box option for March not either Dine or Unwind as an option. Smacks of a way for them to unload things they can’t sell no one wants. Getting frustrating as a long time (over a year and a half) subscriber and never have skipped one to not get the main boxes. Up for renewal next month and I think it’s time to drop it and not renew. Sigh.

Did you click on the “more options” to see other available boxes? I believe that “surprise” was the default and I switched mine.

I wonder if that bowl will be included?? And I could use a knife. I always seem to fixate on the wrong things in the photos thiugh, lol.

I would put money on:
bowl, olive wood spoon, salt grinder, rice, and bottle holder/basket alternative.

the bowl is really pretty

I don’t think I’ll want this box, but if it comes with a wood spoon, I’d be interested in swapping for it.

Uh oh. I was planning on choosing Theme #2 because the Unwind items did not appeal to me at all. But I already have half the hints in that picture (bottle basket and wood spoon/server). The rice and salt are probably part of the box, too, and the serving plate. Definitely don’t need another bottle basket…. looks like I skip another month.

They usually incorporate things from prior months into the theme photos. I don’t remember them ever repeating an item (and the bottle basket was the basket replacement instead of a real item anyways, I think).

While this box looks nice, I’m troubled by the two options seeming gendered with the implication that men can kick back and relax while women do the cooking. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. While I understand the idea of creating boxes that appeal to men and women separately, I feel like these two options are reinforcing gender roles. I get that “DINE” could be unisex, but still.

I would guess that these then suggest that women are better cooks, and men are lazy? Seems like we come out on top

Samantha

Lol, that’s one way to look at it.

I think you are reading too much into it, Relax!

I was a gender studies major, so these things pop out to me. I understand that no one else might see it this way. I like to cook, but I also like to relax and drink craft beer, though I don’t typically wear men’s socks and I wouldn’t expect those to fit me. I’m hoping they managed to get more Love and Dream boxes to offer this month, but not counting on it.

Definitely makes me want to sub for the first time.

I am waiting to sub to this one and the past few months have been hits in my book but I am still waiting.

THIS theme might cause me to break and sub to this box. If this is my first box, i can choose this one , correct?

Permitted they don’t sell out of it and give preference to subscribers who “have already experienced past themes” or whatever their language is for this. As far as priority goes, if you are a newer subscriber and they are low on inventory, they make you pick another theme.

This sounds like it’s right up my alley!
