1) Dream On Tote Bag, Kenya (Retail $25)
This tote is lovely! It's completely lined canvas on canvas, so it's much sturdier than your typical canvas tote bag.
It is bigger than a standard tote, too. It measures about 16 by 18 inches.
And each tote's tag includes the name of the person who made it!
Dream Journal, India (Retail $12)
This journal has a metallic gold pattern on the cover - it's gorgeous!
And the pages are blank:
(The notebook measures 5 by 7 inches and is a perfect small size to keep your tote, backpack, purse, etc.)
Dessert Bowl, Tunisia (Retail $12)
(Designs and colors will vary.)
These bowls are hand painted ceramic and dishwasher and microwave safe! I've received many pieces similar to this one thanks to GlobeIn and I love my little Le Souk collection! (Dishwasher safe + beautiful = my go-to plates!)
Palm Leaf Pouch, Mexico (Retail $12)
GlobeIn always includes baskets in their boxes. You can usually request a different basket shape, or sometimes they allow you to opt for a non-basket item instead.
Here it is with some beauty items to give you a better sense of scale:
Lastly, my box didn't have this item but all subscribers will also receive this GlobeIn greeting card:
GlobeIn Greeting Card (Retail $3)
This card seems perfect for the holidays, and it's blank inside, too.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $64. I think that's a good value for a subscription box that focuses on fair trade and giving back. I really love all the items included in this box too - everything feels special.
What do you think of the February 2017 GlobeIn Artisan box?
FYI - In January and February GlobeIn had sourcing issues - not every subscriber was able to get this box. Check out this post to learn more about the issues and what's coming up in March.
