Bulu Box is a monthly fitness and weight loss subscription. The original Bulu Box is focused more on fitness and general health supplements, and they also offer a Weight Loss box that focuses more on diet products.

Lavle Belgian Dark Chocolate (2 pieces) – Total Value $1.98
I got this last month as well, in the regular Bulu Box. Anyway, dark chocolate has flavanols, compounds that are supposed to be good for health. This is decent dark chocolate, not the best I’ve ever had, but I do like the individual portions – it’s easier to control how much you consume.
Dr. Price’s Electrolyte Mix Super Hydration Formula in Lemon Lime (0.09 oz) – Value $0.53
I’ve been sick lately and feeling a bit dehydrated and I really do think this helped. It only has five calories (yay) and isn’t full of sugar. (But it has lots of minerals.)
Shapeologist 15 Day Cleanse (2 capsules) – Value $1
I don’t believe in doing “cleanses” – the science is just not there to support them. This has psyllium fiber (which is fine to take every day) and flax (good source of essential fatty acids). And senna plus Cascara sagrada – two LAXATIVES. So please, just do your research before taking anything like this. I don’t think it is good to take laxatives for 15 days.
Smarty Pants Adult Complete (2 gummies) – Value $0.37
All right, MORE Smarty Pants. I can’t even eat these because they have both fish oil and gelatin. My husband likes them well enough. I find it hard to believe there is anyone who hasn’t tried these at this point.
Simply Popped from Jolly Time (3 oz) – Value $2.49
Microwave popcorn can be great for weight loss – it’s quite filling and it’s a whole grain, and one whole bag here is under 100 calories. This has non-GMO corn and a simple ingredients list, too. I am actually in the process of evaluating all the 100 calorie bags of popcorn I can find to see which one is my favorite (good mid-morning snack at work) and this one is worth a second look. I think I like it better than this other Jolly Time popcorn I tried.
Bioferrin Iron Crystal Bursts (1 packet) – Value $0.50?
This isn’t available for sale yet, as far as I can tell. It looks like the maker is just doing market testing. These have a fruity flavor and are kind of like eating pop rocks. I suppose if you are looking for an iron supplement (what these are), it is helpful to have a lot of different products to try.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $6.87 for the February Bulu Box Weight Loss box. That is above the price I paid for the box since I got in on one of the “$5 for life” deals. Plus, you can review items in the box for points that can be used on items in the Bulu Box Shop. If the shop contains stuff you’d already buy (for me, it’s Quest Bars and PB2), then the box pretty much pays for itself. Make sure to use coupon code MYSUB16 to get a 3-month Bulu Box subscription for $16 (regularly $30 for a 3-month subscription) to bring the price down. Also, every now and then, you luck out and randomly get a full bottle of something. So, while this wasn’t the most exciting box for me, the popcorn is a good discovery at least.
For what it’s worth, I’d recommend only choosing the regular or weight loss version of Bulu Box and not subscribing to both. There are usually at least a couple of repeats between the two each month.
