The December ZEN BOX includes Zen Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil, Zen Siberian Pine Needle Essential Oil, and Zen Immune Boost Essential Oil Blend.

There will be changes in this subscription starting January 2017. This synopsis is from the ZEN BOX website or you can watch the Vimeo explanation here:

Starting in 2017, it will be Bi-Monthly (every other month!), with registration opening January 1st. Special deals and surprises are offered in the “down” months + a new podcast will start in 2017 as well!

ZEN BOX includes a business card with their contact information in the box and all other materials are sent electronically to the subscriber’s email address. I have contacted ZEN BOX several times for information and I always receive a response within a day – typically within hours. Their customer service is superb!

The information on each product and how to use it is sent as a link to a PDF document which you can see by clicking on this link. The information ZEN BOX sends is super useful and I like that they tell provide source and production information for their oils as this is one of the telltale signs of pure, high-quality oils.

Zen Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil Value $12.99

More cinnamon is one of the best things about fall and winter.

ZEN BOX says cinnamon oil in aromatherapy is known to:

  • “transform low energy or vitality, low motivation and the “blahs” into a zest for life!
  • help stimulate new ideas and creativity
  • help warm you (good for the winter ahead) and stimulate circulation
  • support the body against infections like the flu and colds
  • ease stress
  • help ease indigestion or help get an appetite back

It is a strong antibacterial, antifungal and welltested by scientists, performing among the top bacteria and microbe killers. “

Zen Siberian Pine Needle Essential Oil – Value $12.99

This stuff smells just like Christmas – crisp and fresh and warm and pine-y! We love it.

The ZEN BOX information says Siberian Pine Needle oil can be used in the following ways:

  • Antiseptic
  • Pain reliever
  • “Potential Cancer Fighter? Dr. Axe writes that Fir Needle essential oil has been found to be an efficient anticancer agent. Modern studies out of France have shown the many antitumor characteristics in the essential oil, making it a promising natural cancer treatment.”
  • Detoxification
  • To address bronchitis and sinusitis

Zen Immune Boost Essential Oil Blend – Value $15.99

This blend has “Certified Organic Jojoba Oil & Sunflower Oil as the carrier oils; Essential Oils of Eucalyptus, Oregano, Cinnamon, Clove, Rosemary, Lemon, Peppermint, Frankincense, Rosemary.” We’ve been using other immune boosters in this house lately so I’m happy to add this one to the fight!

Verdict: I really enjoy ZEN BOX. I love trying new oils each month and learning about their various uses. The information ZEN BOX sends has been one of the best parts for me. I like reading the history of each oil and I always learn something new about the flower or herb and how to use the essential oil.

These oils are not the cheapest you can find but remember that it’s important to buy essential oils from a reputable supplier since they are not regulated. Many cheaper oils are cut with other oils and are not be pure. ZEN BOX says their oils are 100% pure therapeutic quality and are gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC/MS) tested, which is the way essential oils are tested for purity. The tests are conducted by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), a multinational company providing inspection, verification, testing and certification services. I requested to see one of the GC/MS reports and ZEN BOX sent it to me the same day. I’m certainly no expert but at this point, I feel comfortable purchasing oils from ZEN BOX.

The value is okay – basically, it covers the box cost plus shipping. The box costs $39 (you can get it less with the 20IMMUNEBOOK coupon) and the products this month add up to $41.97. I’ve seen cheaper essential oil boxes but I trust the quality of this box and that means a lot.
