Type.Lites First Snow Soy Tin Candle – 4 oz, Value $10

This scent is made with a mix of pine, mint, and jasmine. I’m sensitive to the scent of pine, so I was happy to find that the pine is very subtle and I smell more of the mint and jasmine. This is a nice, light, fresh fragrance! I love the wooden wick, too.

Type.Lites Pomegranate Cider Soy Candle – 8 oz, Value $20

First of all, how pretty is this label? This candle has great spiced cider scent with apples and cloves and balanced with the tartness of pomegranate. It’s a fantastic fall/winter scent that’s similar to the typical cinnamon apple scent but with a fresh twist.

Lindt Lindor Truffles – 2 pieces, Total Value$0.75

I’m always happy to see chocolate in a box, and Lindor truffles are my favorite chocolates! These were happily consumed immediately after photographing.

Verdict: This was a great VellaBox for winter for me! I love both the candles and I loved getting the truffles. As far as value goes, everything adds up to $30 which breaks even with the cost of the box. I’m okay with that because I know I’ll enjoy both candles! Plus, they found/curated the candles for me and I got free shipping, so that adds a little extra value for me, too. I feel I got my money’s worth.

  1. I got the First Snow in the Lucerna box. It’s a great box; I love getting artisan, small batch candles that would be hard to come by otherwise. The wood wick is so nice…such a pleasant little sound and spark.

  2. Great box! The pomegranate cider instantly piques my interest, & the way you’ve described first snow sounds good, too.
