Stars Hollow Monthly is a monthly subscription box that sends you Gilmore Girls inspired items! They debuted a new box design this month and it’s so beautiful!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription Box: Stars Hollow Monthly

The Cost: $34.90 a month + free shipping

The Products: “3-5 Gilmore Girl-Inspired goodies. Anything from tee shirts (on occasion), home decor, fashion accessories, bath & body items, and much much more. This box subscription is a branch under our main Lit-Cube business BUT we will NOT be sending out books in every one of these box shipments. As always, we have our trusty Luke’s Diner menu to serve as our information card. All the items are listed out, as well as some recommendations and information on items for sale in their store.

“Lorelai” Winter Scarf – Listed Value $19.95

This is a lightweight winter scarf in a cute yellow and white stripe design. This does seem like something Lorelai would wear while admiring the first snow in the town square. I like how bright this scarf is and, in Lorelai fashion, it can definitely add some color to your wardrobe!

Exclusive Where You Lead Necklace – Listed Value $19.95

This necklace features a silver pendant with the Carole King lyric “Where you lead I will follow”. The theme song is an iconic part of the show so this necklace is a nice nod to that. It also has an amber colored bead and little feather (or maybe a leaf?).  I really like this kind of necklace because it’s subtle enough to not feel like costume jewelry while also being a great reference to a fandom.

Exclusive Kirk’s “OOOBER” Car Freshener – Listed Value $4.95

This car freshener is branded with Kirk’s latest business venture “OOOBER”. This has a really fresh scent with just a hint of something fruity. I like the scent so this went right in my car. This totally seems like the type of promotional item Kirk would create to spread the word about his groundbreaking, yet oddly familiar business.

Exclusive Gilmore Themed Holiday Ornament – Listed Value $9.95

This Stars Hollow Monthly ornament features Rory and Lorelai in Luke’s Diner. If you look closely, they’re drinking Boca Java – the coffee from Stars Hollow Coffee Club! This is a cute Christmas decoration for any fan. I think I would have preferred that this came in the November box so I would have it in time for Christmas this year but I’ll happily hold on to it for next year’s tree!

Verdict: The December box is valued at about $55. My favorite items are the exclusive items created for this box. Clothing and accessories are always a little less appealing for me in fandom boxes because I always feel like I could find them on my own. The exclusive items in this box are awesome because they are things I wouldn’t typically come across. I loved the necklace and car freshener. I think the scarf and ornament make sense for a winter box. Overall, this was an ok month for me – nothing I hated but nothing that blew me away.

What do you think about this month’s Stars Hollow Monthly box?
