L'Atelier Clandestin Ring - Value $60

Emma-and-chloe-january-2017-0015

This piece is made with an onyx stone, engraved/stamped detailing along the band, and it is adjustable as well.

This ring is gold-plated (no mention of the karat), but it does come with a certificate of authenticity:

This is a bold ring for me, so it's probably not something I'd wear every day, but I really like it! (And gold and black are my colors!)

Verdict: I think this is a fab jewelry subscription! It's quality over quantity, and this piece is definitely impressive, and something I feel good paying $35 for. Plus I love that I can always get gold pieces - I think that really helps cut out the risk of this subscription.

And the packaging and presentation of this subscription box are amazing. This definitely qualifies as a gift to yourself - it was so fun to unbox!

Amy

I feel so tricked by this subscription. My ring came with the stone off center like it was cheaply glued on!

Hi Amy,

I’m very sorry to hear that. Can you please contact our customer service or send me an email? We’re going to replace your ring :-). Since every piece is handmade, this kind of issue can unfortunately happen sometimes..

Have a great day,

Hi Laura, it seems that issues are addressed here more quickly than by contacting customer service as I sent an email on 1/18 with no response. Do you have a direct email I can forward my original concern to? Thanks 🙂

Emme

I’m wondering if anyone knows if this box has good customer service and if they are responsive. That always is important for me to know before signing up to any new sub. After all the disconnect and frustration of how awfully complacent and lacking RZ customer service has been over the holidays (and to date with a currently posted 10 day+ response time) and how spotty some others can/have been (i.e. PSMH), it’s a big concern and can make all the difference in the world when it comes to where I spend my $.

Thank you Suzanne, that worked.

Does this ring come in different sizes?

Liz Cadman

No, but it is adjustable. Hope that helps! 🙂

I got the gold with the other stone. I love it and actually have been wearing it daily. It adds a little something to my chambray top and black pants 🙂

Eileen

I received that one, too. I’m wearing it right now.

Does every subscriber receive the same piece? Or does one designer curate multiple items that are randomly sent to subscribers?

Reply ButtonReply

laura Colomba

Hi Carolann,

Generally yes, every subscriber receives the same piece according to their color preferences (gold, silver or surprise). However, for some pieces, the designer has created multiple versions of the same piece. For instance, this month, the designer Atelier Clandestin created 2 different versions of the piece, one with an onyx stone and one with a labradorite stone.

In cases such as this, pieces are randomly sent to subscribers but still in keeping with their gold/silver/surprise preferences. This month some of our subscribers received a gold or silver ring with an onyx stone and some other received a gold or silver ring with a labradorite stone.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions, I’ll be happy to help you ;-).

Everyone gets the same piece in either gold- or silver-plated. Occasionally there might be variations in the stones.

Liz, what nail polish are you wearing in this pic? I love it!

Thanks! It’s from the January Square Hue box – review coming soon! 🙂

Megan

If I subscribe now, will I start with January or February?

Reply ButtonReply

laura Colomba

Hi Megan,

If you subscribe now, you’ll start with the February box (shipped at the beginning of February) but since we have a special deal running until January 31 that allows you to choose an additional free piece of your choice from our previous boxes collection, you can pick this ring as your free piece ;-).

Suzanne

Laura, I bought a subscription and ordered a free previous box and got them today. The previous box was correct, but I got the January box. You said we’d be getting February’s, so I’m unhappy as I already have January’s.

Megan

Thank you! I just signed up!

Laura D.

How do we pick the ring as an extra item? I tried to sign for the subscription but besides choosing the metal color, I wasn’t able to pick the extra item after I added the promo code. All it showed was a 0 balance. Thank you

Erin

I believe you’ll start with February Megan. You can email Emma & Chloe customer service to ask. Their customer service is amazing and if you want this ring as the free piece I’m sure all you have to do is ask. I requested the piece I wanted when I signed up awhile back.

Megan

Also, sorry so many questions, but it looks like shipping for the free piece is $10 – is that accurate or is there an error?
