Barkbox-January-2017-0001

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs. It’s one of our favorite subscription boxes – our dog loves it, and we’ve gifted it to dogs in our extended family as well!

BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the small size (our dog weighs 14 pounds). Check out Ragan's review of last month's box for large dogs!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Every BarkBox has a theme - this month is 'Pup In The Air'!

Barkbox-January-2017-0004

Barkbox-January-2017-0005

It comes with the cutest info card you'll find - from the Chewnited States of America!

It also shows some toy options for the month as well!

Snack Rings with Lamb & Cheddar - Value $6

We received two bags of treats and a chew stick this month. The first bag of treats are chewy lamb snack rings.

Barkbox-January-2017-0009

These are actually soft - similar to a gummy treat - which was a surprise!

Even Buckles was a little surprised we I gave this to him. He grabbed it and paused a minute - but naturally gobbled it up and loved it.

Farm Fresh Chicken, Pea, Kale & Quinoa - Value $8

These might be the healthiest treat that Buckles has ever begged for!

Barkbox-January-2017-0015

Barkbox-January-2017-0013

These little bite-sized bits are made of chicken, peas, kale & quinoa!

Barkbox-January-2017-0025

Barkbox-January-2017-0026

He went a bit bonkers for these. They are the perfect size for a small treat, and I don't feel bad about giving them to him because of the ingredients!

Barkbox-January-2017-0020

Suitcase Toy - Value $10

The first toy of the month is a heavy duty suitcase.

Barkbox-January-2017-0021

It's made with a sturdier nylon, so, hopefully, it can take a little longer for a chewer to get through.

Barkbox-January-2017-0027

Unsurprisingly, he wasn't really interested in this toy. But, Penelope happily accepted a new toy - and it is just too cute when a dog carries this around by the handle!

Barkbox-January-2017-0019

Squeakin on a Jet Plane Toy - Value $8

Buckles' favorite toy of the month is this little Bark & Co plane.

Barkbox-January-2017-0018

Barkbox-January-2017-0028

It's perfectly sized for him, and has a bunch of grabbable parts in the wings and tail of the plane! It's a new favorite!

Barkbox-January-2017-0016

Crunchy Duck Chew - Value $3

The last item is a treat from Etta Says.

Barkbox-January-2017-0017

This chew is made in the U.S.A. and features duck! Buckles stomach is a bit sensitive to rawhide, which this includes, so we tend to gift items like this to other family pups.

Verdict: This box is worth it for the fun we have in the photo shoot alone! Both resident dogs love everything in their monthly BarkBox, and we couldn't be happier getting new treats each month - we still are loving BarkBox.

Remus’s favorite toy is also the plane! It’s one of his favorite toys period. he drags that thing around everywhere. And he LOVES the Farm’n fresh treats! I’m so glad I got him this box! I haven’t given him the suitcase toy yet because I figure it’ll be something new I can give him soon so he won’t lose interest in his toys!

Me too. My apartment does not allow dogs so I rely on pictures. I just read this sub review for the pictures of Buckles.

We get the medium box. We got a duffel bag, which is similar to the suitcase, but a bit bigger Our Sheltie, Oberon, loves it and takes it from room to room with him (carrying it by the handles, of course). He’ll go back for other toys sometimes, but the duffel is always in the room he is!

Ok, I don’t even have a dog but was happily lured to read the review when I saw the photo of Buckles. Adorable review.

Same! I generally don’t even like most dogs (cat lady here), but I think Buckles is the cutest!

I loved this box… selling travel these are the perfect accessories for photos of my dog girls. I love Buckles- what a sweet pup! Does he get excited when this box comes? My girls just start dancing around and dive right in to the box!

My little pup also passed on the suitcase toy, but it was happily gifted to her blue heeled best friend, who carried it around by the handle. She loves that airplane though!
