JONES NEW YORK - Marled Drape Front Top

I love this top!!! For the first time in ages, I bought an at-home item from Gwynnie Bee, I just loved it that much. This top is so lovely, and so super soft, I plan on wearing it every day all season! It was also new when I got it, I could totally tell, and during Thanksgiving, they had a big sale on at-home items, so it was like 40% off their already discounted price. SOLD!

JETE - Arrow Printed Cascading Jacket

I tend to wear a lot of cardigans in the fall, so this was perfect. It was a little shorter in the back than what I usually wear, but I think it looked nice.

TRISTE - Hollywood Glamour Shift Dress

I usually really like Triste shift dresses, but I didn't even wear this one out of the house. The large print on the front emphasized the curves I don't really like to emphasize. Enough said.

ALFANI - Textured Plaid Surplice Top

I wound up wearing this blouse two or three times! I liked the way it felt, and it was dressy enough to wear in business casual situations. I thought it was cute!

JETE - Stencil Printed Asymmetric Tunic

I wore this top out for drinks with my best friend the other night, and I felt really pretty and confident in it. It's a little lightweight for the season, but we weren't outdoors that night much.

UNIVERSAL STANDARD - Equator Sweater In Universal Black

This is the first time I've tried a piece from Universal Standard, and I was excited to get the chance. I wore this to my son's holiday concert at school the other night, and I got a couple of nice compliments on it. I prefer a more open neckline, but this sweater worked out great!

LUCIE LU - Thea Tunic in Chevron Blues

Yikes! This tunic was a bit snug. I had to send it back. I just got the exact same tunic from Lucie Lu in a different pattern last month and it fit fine, so there's either a variance in Lucie Lu sizing or someone washed this in hot water. I'll make a note of that.

MELISSA MCCARTHY SEVEN7 - Marbleshine Skimmer Top

If you happen to read my Wantable Style Edit reviews, this top may look familiar to you! I actually just got a tunic in this same pattern from Melissa McCarthy for Seven7, and I love it! I prefer the cut of the tunic, but this top was cute and fun. The material is also quite thick, too, so it was nice for a relatively warm winter day. I could even take off my jacket at one point outside. It was so nice!

Verdict: I love Gwynnie Bee! How nice that I actually kept something this month and bought it! It was such a great deal! I got a lot of awesome pieces this month, and I wore nearly everything except the dress and the Lucie Lu. This is a fantastic subscripition for people who like to wear something different every day!

Super cute stuff this month as always Anna! 🙂

That Triste ran a little small for me too.

I’ve had GB for maybe 2 years now. I have the locked in prices from before the price change, so I pay about 63 a month including tax for 3 items out at a time. I average about one package with 3 items per week, so for me, it’s worth it. I tend to get a mix of older stuff I have closeted and some newer things, although I do wish they send more priorties. Turnaround time for me has been very good lately. There’s a group on Facebook where a lot of GB girls post what we’re wearing, what’s going right, what’s going wrong, tips, etc, and it has really helped me get the most of the subscription 🙂

Everything looked wonderful on you except that dress which In my opinion, would look good on no one ever.

Sonia

Ditto!

Lol, agreed! Thanks Michelle!

Don’t wear the red shirt through airport security. I once wore something very similar and got singled out for a pat-down because the body scanner couldn’t deal with the drapey fabric. (It is a nice shirt though!)

All-in-all, looks like it was mostly a good box for you.

Good tip! Thanks Ragan!

I have had a subscription for 2 months, but I am planning to cancel. I tried to get that lovely Jones New york top, but no luck. I seem to mostly get the stuff that is left over, stuff I added to my closet to meet their minimum closet requirements. Not enough for me to warrent the monthly cost of this subscription

Yes, in my experience they seem to completely ignore the closet prioritization feature and send you items randomly without taking into consideration what you’ve prioritized. This makes sense given that the cutest items are probably also the most popular, so therefore the least likely to be available.

I’ve been having this issue lately also. It really seems to fluctuate. I am guessing many of my priority items got snapped up during all their holiday sales.

I subscribed to Gwynnie Bee this for a couple months, but was really disappointed and ended up cancelling the service. The shipping turn-around time was so slow that I felt the service was really overpriced. I always used the return notification feature, but they never sent out a replacement garment until the original had been back with them for at least 3 or 4 days — meaning that including the 5 or 6 day shipping each way, my turn-around time per item was 13-16 days.

I subscribed to the 3 item package at $95/month, but only got to try around 6 items per month because their shipping process was so slow. In the end, I realized it was much more cost effective to sign up for a service like Dia & Co where they send me 5 items per month to try on and I can choose keep one of them permanently usually for less than $95.

That makes sense. I’ve noticed shipping has slowed down recently, too. Thanks Courtney!

I like almost everything on you, but wow, that Triste dress is staggeringly unflattering. What were they thinking?? I can’t imagine that would look good on anyone!

Anna

I know, right? I almost put this one on the dress form instead of modeling, but I thought no, the readers deserve to know the truth! 😝

I am a size 8 with a 28 inch waist and am pretty sure I would look about twice my size in a dress like that. I mean seriously, who puts a big swirly thing right on the stomach? I can’t even imagine a size 2 not looking bad in that. Bravo for modeling. I would never, ever have the nerve!

I really love your reviews and this is one reason why! I can’t believe that dress, whoever placed the pattern that way should be slapped upside the head!

You look fabulous in everything else!

amy

I LOVE Gwynnie Bee. It has really helped me to embrace my size and look beautiful while doing so. I get mostly dresses and have discovered some awesome brands.

Don’t let the plus size thing scare you away. They start at a 10 (which I think is small).

Shipping was kind of slow for a while but they have stepped things up.

Awesome Amy! So glad you’re also enjoying it!
