I am really torn. The shadow and lipstick hold no appeal but that cleansing oil looks fantastic!! What to do what to do. I think I will wait a bit and if it sells out it wasn’t meant to be.

I’m kinda glad I just cancelled glossybox. November is my last box.

I’m super excited. I narrowed down my subs earlier this year so that I’m not overloaded with products, and to the point where I’m not having fun anymore. And now that that’s done, I’m a lot easier to please! And it’s fun again, but I’m rambling. The value is definitely there for me in this box, and the full size skin care items (ampoule and the serum) I cannot wait to get my hands on. I do the same thing as someone else noted, if I get something I have already or won’t use, I put boxes together for my mom and gf’s and surprise them randomly throughout the year. It’s a win-win 🙂

Meghan, I’m with you!! I am so to try the Truffle Cleansing Oil. I received a sample a couple months ago and loved their product. I am looking forward to trying so many new products for a fraction of their cost. Enjoy,

This box seems nowhere near as good as last year’s. While the value is there, the products just seem…blah. And that lipstick…really?? Is there ~anyone~ out there who could wear that color? For the $30 member rate, I would probably jump, just for fun. But…as my 12 mo Gilt discounted membership is over, I’d be charged $40. Even though technically the value is there, I’m just not interested enough in these products to pay that. And, I have no interest in renewing my sub at the full price (or even somewhat discounted) rate. Seems like the quality of their boxes went way down over the past few months…not to mention the issues with their customer service! If they offer another Gilt deal where with discount I could get the boxes for around $9 a month, I’d probably sign back up, but otherwise, I’m out, with no regrets.

The lipstick is a nude, so, yeah, I imagine a lot of people would wear it.

If it’s a nude, I’ll have to take a closer look! I’m out of town so been looking at it from my phone rather than computer full screen…from my phone the color is showing as a metallic, almost-orange color. I’ll look at it from my computer, to see if I can get a better color read. Thanks for pointing that out. I’m a huge lipstick addict, so if the color is actually one I could wear, that would def make me rethink passing on this box. ?

*IF* the nude shade is received, it would definitely be more wearable than the other shades featured on their website. I really can’t do green, blue or purple! Does anyone know if the eyeshadow and/or brow product is likely to be a shade variation? With me being a skin-care junkie, more than half of this box is a win for me. I jumped on it immediately since I can gift the other items to my mom, aunt, sisters and friends. I’ve been putting cute boxes together for each of them ALL year since you can never start too early, right? Now I’m just trying to figure out which one will want a green lippie, since my luck is likely to learn toward that one LOL!

I want to order, but how do we know which shade to Retro Brow we will receive?

So many unheard brands. A little skeptic about that lol. I need something I can trust!

What do you mean? Babor, Figs & Rouge, and NutraLux are all high end, well known brands!

They aren’t well known to everyone; especially if someone is new to sub boxes. I’m still fairly new as I only started a year ago and I hadn’t heard of any of these brands either.
Thank you for the info in letting us know they are high end brands, but they aren’t known to everyone.

I have been fighting with Glossybox for 6 months over a billing error (it’s not something my credit card company can handle, unfortunately). They simply do. not. listen. I will never buy a box from them again, no matter how good (though this one doesn’t tempt me at all).

Did you cancel before the 15th? It is illegal for them to fraudulently charge you and if your credit card company can’t help you than it isn’t GlossyBox’s fault.

Thanks for your reply. I cancelled in time. The problem is they keep trying to charge me for another annual sub with an old expired c/c. So every 3-4 days, for the past 7 months, I’ve gotten emails saying something went wrong with my order, please update my c/c. No biggie, I can (and do) just delete the emails. BUT, the problem is they do not listen to my request that I have CANCELED my sub and no longer wish to get the box. I have no doubt that if they had my current credit card info, they’d surely charge me for another year. I find that bothersome. I’ve tried emailing them, calling them, facebooking them, nothing works. Seven months after my final box, I keep getting the “Oops, something went wrong with your order” email every 4 days. I will never order from them again because I don’t trust them. When will companies learn that having qualified Customer Service reps really, really matters to consumers?

I’ve wanted to try that retro brow and the serum looks fabulous. The only things I’m not interested in are the cleansing oil and that horrid lipstick. They will be gifted on, but it’s still a great value for me!

What color is the lipstick in the picture? And are there going to be color variations?

An easy pass.

I wanted to love this and REALLY wanted the box itself, but it’s not doing it for me. It’s terrible when people are wanting to support Glossybox and they keep falling short.

I didn’t think I would bite, but I am interested in the detox serum and that is over $41 alone. There is a high value to this box, and they are all new brands to me, so I’m hoping I find a hit!

I did grab a box. I don’t feel overly excited about it but it seems well worth the $30 as that’s the cost of just the cleansing oil.
I would love to see a review of this box. Your reviews always make me more excited or satisfied with a box that I just originally just felt ok about. ?

Is this box actually for sale yet?

Jenn
Yes it is. I ordered it the other day.
Emilia
I will buy it more out of habit than excitement. This is nothing compared to previous years’ boxes.
