This month's theme is "Play Pretend". With Halloween at the end of October, it seems like a fitting concept. Let's see what Craftly has up its sleeve...

Wow! I'm always intrigued by the array of items Craftly includes in their boxes. They touch a lot of different categories, from home to art and beyond. From the looks of it, they're at it again!

Game of Phones - Value $20.00

From what I can tell, Game of Phones is kind of like Apples to Apples meets a scavenger hunt through the photos and other data hiding on your phone. Pick cards with different assignments, like "Find the best #selfie," and see which player comes up with the best digital goods. I like this idea for the same reason it makes me skeptical. We do so much with our phones, why not have a game about them? But at the same time... man, do I need another reason to glorify my phone?

Unplugged Goods Twistable Laces - Value $11.06

The photo on these "laces" suggests using them on headphone cords, but these are headed straight for the bundle of wires running between my router and cable box! I hate clunky, cumbersome wires more than anything, and these bendy, shoelace-inspired takes on the classic twist-tie are sure to come in handy.

Mokuyobi It's Always Banana Time Patch - Value $6.00

Is this a common saying? A catchphrase of some sort? I have no idea. But I really dig bananas, so I've got no reason to say this little patch isn't worthy of a backpack or a jacket sleeve. It's pretty nicely stitched, too, with a hint of a sheen to it. Healthy eaters, rejoice.

Wintercroft Mask - Value $5.49

This is an unexpected find for sure. On the flip side of this card is a code to input in the Wintercroft site to get a downloadable mask pattern. You then use the pattern to create and build a polygon-style mask. It's artful, yet minimalist, easy to access, yet super unique. I love the look of these masks and the creativity they can inspire. What a cool option for your next costume party!

Verdict: Craftly seems like it's gunning for the title of coolest box, and it's definitely gaining ground. I couldn't have expected any of the items that were included, and I love that they're made by smaller, lesser-known vendors. Plus, the value of the box was about $43.00—that's about $18.00 over the $25.00 price of the box itself, and perfectly in line with the $40.00 value Craftly guarantees every month. Again, very, very cool.

I don’t have a smart phone. If someone brought that game out at a function I was attending, I would honestly just leave.

Agree. Encouraging people to get together IRL just to stick their noses into phones… Interesting concept.

2nd that, too much of that already. I ban the irritating things when hubby and I go out or I’d never see anything but the top of his head bent over the stupid phone. Much less converse, heaven forbid. And they day women are ‘always on the phone’ or whatever?! Puh-lease.
Wasn’t Pokemon Go bad enough? Sure, great, go get exercise then hit by a car or worse, nose in your phone. I don’t get it. Must be my age showing, oh well.
