Cozy Scarf - Value $15?

This scarf is really cute and seasonal, but I have to also mention that it's super soft! I think I will be wearing this a lot if the weather ever cools off here in Georgia.

Travel Mug - Value $8?

We can always, always, always use more travel mugs. Losing travel mugs is one of my husband's super powers, haha. This one is really cute, too!

Mandala Color-a-Puzzle - Value $5?

I actually received this exact kit not too long ago from a different subscription box. This will make a nice gift for someone.

Fannie May Chocolate - Value $1

The caramel leaked out of this turtle type chocolate a little, but it didn't matter. My husband devoured it! He reported that it tasted delicious!

peaches-and-petals-october-2016-coupon

There was no spoiler card included this month, but they did include this coupon for $50 off your first box of Hello Fresh.

Verdict: I am really enjoying my subscription to Peaches and Petals! This was a really well-curated package - everything was perfect for fall. We will use everything this month except the puzzle, and I think it's a pretty big fluke that I've already received it. This month's value (if my estimates are close) comes to about $35, which is great for a $20 box! I think Peaches and Petals is a really great way to treat yourself to a lifestyle box on a budget.

Wow…after I cancelled they send a box that I would have liked…LOL.
Oh well…still don’t regret my decision.

Also, Peaches &Petals is a sister company with Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome (or whatever it’s called) & they’re also linked to 13deals.com which is basically a website that sells all this cheap crap. If you look you’ll see almost every item you’ve ever gotten in a Peaches&Petals box listed for a few bucks.
Basically, the box is filled with a bunch of crap they buy for mega cheap. I think I’m going to cancel my subscription. I really think they should have left their price at $15/month. Then I wouldn’t feel so ripped off.

Umm did anyone else get the email from Peaches&Petals saying NOT to eat the candy & to throw it away? Omg Anna I can’t believe your husband ate it lol! The sent an email out saying this candy would not last through the shipping process & to toss it and next month they will include a bonus item in the box!

I just got my November box and I don’t think I got that replacement free item they emailed about. I received 5 items that are hardly worth $20 in themself. It seems like the first box I got was awesome and then every box after that has been maybe one item that I’d actually keep….. 🙁

Rachel

What??? I never got an email about not eating it? I haven’t eaten it yet – should I just throw it out and why?

I received that email and if I remember correctly the Pixies were OK to eat– the problem was with the other candy or cookie that was sent– but everyone would still receive a bonus item next month. I thought that I saw a FB post where someone said that their candy/cookie had bugs 😛 but it wasn’t for the Pixies so I am thinking that is why the email was sent…

This review really is an insult to the readers’ intelligence. “Lifestyle box on a budget” – gag.

If Fingerhut had a mystery box this would be it.

I’ve been reading reviews of Peaches and Petals for about 6-8 months (I have never subscribed). The box really does seem like dollar store items tossed into a box. I think the sub box market is so popular now that a few unscrupulous vendors think we will buy *anything* that comes in a box with a cute name. There’s just something about this box that always feels like a ripoff. P&P can and should do better.

Wow this looks like a good box. Sadly not all subscribers will get a box like this. What happened to the normal box with logo and paper? I love reading the reviews for this box and of the other surprise one they do. They use to be very funny sadly but there are hardly none anymore….

Oh Anna, surely you jest?

I see maybe $8-$9 here. A $2 candle, a $1 store puzzle, a dish towel looking scarf and wtheck other stuff. Wow, impressive for $20. NOT!!! Hehe

I used to subscribe to Peaches and Petals, and while I love the concept of a low-cost lifestyle box, I feel like I could put together this exact same shipment for $10 and a trip to T.J. Maxx or the dollar store.

Yep. That’s why I cancelled back in June, just seemed like dollar store stuff thrown in a HUGE box every month. This one looks better than I expected, but still not worth it IMO. Too much competition for the price. Others do it better, too. To each their own though!

Looks like fff but cheaper way.

Samantha

Is this the cheaper knock of version of the fall fabfitfun box?

Reply ButtonReply

Crick

Lol ?
It is !!!
That’s too much ?

Weezie

Ha! That was the first thing I noticed! It’s not usually, though. In the past it’s been more like the cheaper knock-off of a Dollar Store cart. lol

Reply ButtonReply

OnceBitten, TwiceShy

LOL Weezie you hit the nail on the head! Clearly a FFF knockoff this month…and this month’s box looks positively high end compared to their usual bargain basement/closeout dollar store junk…

I just bought that exact puzzle from AC Moore for $1 without a coupon. It is a great little puzzle.
