Note from Liz: Kloverbox recently changed ownership and we're starting to review it again. (Previously, MSA readers let us know that Kloverbox had issues with customer care, and for now that seems to be a thing of the past.)

Kloverbox is a natural and organic beauty and lifestyle subscription box. According to Kloverbox, every month you’ll receive a sampling of “the best natural, cruelty-free and organic beauty, lifestyle, nutrition and healthy home products.

This month is all about spa finds. Kloverbox details all of the items in the box on this card, as well as special offers from the featured brands. If you fall in love with something in the box, I think it’s awesome that Kloverbox is helping connect you with a deal on your new discovery.

kloverbox-august-2016-tea

Organic White Tea by Touch Organic - Value 13.01 on Amazon

Tea isn’t an obvious choice for a spa box, but I love that it was included. White tea, in particular, is so good for your body, and it tastes fantastic (if you haven’t had it before, it’s kind of a lighter, less intense version of green tea). I’m dreaming of all the soothing, warm cups of tea I’ll be able to make with this full-sized box.

kloverbox-august-2016-juice-beauty

Smoothing Eye Concentrate by Juice Beauty (0.5 fl oz) - $29.99

This hydrating eye cream features organic ingredients and plenty of nutrients. The cream comes in a pump dispenser, and a little goes a long way. It’s a very lightweight formula without any specific scent to it (the closest thing I could liken it to was freshly cooked rice). The skin around my eyes did feel instantly softer and happier, so I’m curious to see how this improves it over several days or weeks of use.

kloverbox-august-2016-foot-scrub

Minty Peppermint Foot Scrub by SimpliMandi (4 oz) - $13.00

After a summer walking in sandals, my feet are desperate for a scrub like this one. The scent is a soft, yet invigorating vanilla-mint aroma, and the texture is fine and gentle. I’m thrilled by the fact that I recognize and can pronounce every item on the ingredients list, which includes things like sugar, coconut oil, and raw shea butter. My feet will get the most love from this scrub, but the label says it’s usable on the rest of your body, too. Hello, spa night!

kloverbox-august-2016-lip-balm

Tropical Coconut Lip Balm by Kiss My Honey (0.15 oz) - $4.99

I didn’t quite get the coconut scent of this lip balm, but wow, if it didn’t make my lips feel amazing the second I put it on. This paraben free, all natural, chemical-free, certified cruelty-free lip balm is rid of all the bad junk you usually find in cosmetics and filled with good things like organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, and other lip-enriching ingredients.

Verdict: I was really impressed with the quality of the items in this little box. Each one was not only thoughtfully produced, but super effective, too. I also appreciated that nothing was sample sized—it made the $25 a month price tag seem incredibly worth it (especially since the value of the box is $60.99, so twice that much). What a great treat for an organic beauty fan, or for someone looking for an excuse to pamper themselves!

What do you think of this month’s Kloverbox? Are you a fan of natural beauty products?

I liked this box, but September’s is even better. I don’t think we should hold the new owners accountable for the prior owner’s actions, and was happy to resubscribe again for six months. I’m hopeful that this sub will once again become one of my favorites!

I agree. I subscribed to this box a while ago, and it was great (or at least good) for several months. It then went dramatically downhill, to the point where I couldn’t wait for my multi-month subscription to be over. It now does seem to be getting better and I truly hope the new owners can pull it back to where it was — I sincerely wish them luck. However, for me, those months of awfulness have left such a bad taste that it will take at least a year of fantastic boxes to even consider re-subscribing.

What it is with this box is you are only sent this box because of the good value this month, other month where the value sucks, you do not get a box so it does not get reviewed. The 3 months I got the value sucked. One month basically it was a all melted pot rouge that was supposed to be worth $30. And a couple other samples. I will never subscribe to this box ever again. And I subbed based on the value of the reviews.

I’m sorry you feel that way, Kloverbox changed ownership to more passionate owners looking to promote cruelty- free product with value in mind.

I totally agree with you! I subbed at the end of last year when the boxes were fantastic, then went through a nightmare of trying to get boxes that I was charged for but never received. About that time MSA stopped receiving the boxes for review too. I also learned that they deleted any negative feedback from their FB and blocked people who said negative comments. It was a total sham. I hope that the new owners can turn it around. But I will never sub to this box again after the horrible treatment I received.

Sorry, Kloverbox is now under new management and reached out to start sending us boxes to review again. We’ll be back to reviewing this one consistently.

It might be helpful to just mention in the review that the company recently underwent a management change. That’s definitely useful information for people, and might be a bit more accessible in the post itself, instead of only in comments. Either way, it looks like this was a nice box to get this month 🙂

Wow! It’s been a while since this one was reviewed! The only thing I don’t like is paying the month before…
