This is my first order from JustFab, so I was happy to see a VIP Membership Program booklet in my package.
In addition to breaking down how the Membership works, there's more information about VIP Perks (ie 30% discount every day, member-only sales & promotions, 24/7 personal stylists, and loyalty points).
I also received two coupons: a $15 off VIP Exclusive Fall Wardrobe Special and $100 wine voucher to nakedwines.com.
Drape Mock Neck Sweater Dress - retail $59.95 (VIP price: $44.95)
With fall knocking on my door, I decided it was time to find a cozy sweater dress. When I saw the dress length on the JustFab model, I had a feeling I would be wearing this piece as a sweater instead, since I tend to wear knee-length or slightly above-knee hemlines. Although pleasantly surprised that the length was longer than anticipated, I am still planning to wear this as a sweater or with leggings, especially with the colder temperatures.
I absolutely love the asymmetrical hemline of this dress, which is the main reason I picked it! I tend to make buying decisions based on silhouette first and fabrication second, which was true to form in this case. What I didn't realize until after trying it on, is that the knitted fabric composition is 95% rayon and 5% spandex. It's definitely itchy on my skin, so I'll be wearing a long-sleeve shirt underneath for comfort. There's lots of room to move though!
Ribbing is super trendy right now and reminiscent of the 90's, which I love! The fabric is lightweight but when layered should keep me warm before temperatures really start to drop. One thing to note is how long the sleeves are. I'm an average height, but think the sleeves would be pretty long on most. For reference the sleeves measure 29", from shoulder seam to hem.
Another surprise is the 7" back keyhole. The closure is comprised of 2 silver buttons and elastic button loops that are quite tiny. I'm not personally a huge fan of the keyhole but was impressed by the quality of the mock neck. You can tell it is constructed with an interfacing or some type of stiffener because the neck feels heavier than the rest of the dress and stands up nicely.
I know this is a dress, but I will absolutely be wearing this as a sweater with denim and a blanket scarf to local fall festivals and markets. It's impossible to not feel cozy wearing it!
And when venturing out to dinner with friends, I will easily pair this dress with leggings, boots and simple fall accessories.
Verdict: I enjoyed my first package from JustFab! There is a lot of fabric involved with this dress, so I feel the $44.95 VIP price tag is worth it. My personal boutique has been stocked with new arrivals, so I'm excited to see what I'll discover next month.
