Oil

Oil 2

Forager Botanicals Coconut Isle Body Oil (2 oz.) - $35.00

After a week of vacation and lots of time at the pool (i.e. tons of sunblock) my skin is dry and not too happy. I was thrilled to come home and fine my Clean Beauty Box waiting for me with this Forager Body Oil. I’ve been slathering it everywhere for two days and loving how my skin feels and smells. The scent is green coconut which smells nothing like regular coconut; it actually reminds me of peaches and citrus mixed together. I’ve been dabbing it on my lips too for an amazing lip balm. This oil has no fillers; it’s made with apricot kernel oil, sweet almond oil and jojoba oil. The bottle looks beautiful on my vanity too.

Cleanser

Lilfox Jungle Glow Rainforest Honey Enzyme Cleanser and Mask (1.7 oz.) - $55.00

This cleanser is made with raw honey from Hawaii, white clay and maracuja oil and raw cacao. It’s deliciously thick and has just a touch of exfoliation from the cacao. It left my skin feeling moisturized and soft, but not at all greasy.  The herbal and grapefruit smell lingered on my skin and was so pleasant. This cleanser can also be applied to your face (clean and damp skin) and left on for up to 30 minutes as a hydrating mask. Lilfox is a brand I’ve tried before thanks to Clean Beauty Box and I love their luxurious products and how they package in glass jars.

Mask

St. Tropica Organic Coconut Hot Oil Hair Mask (1.5 oz.) - $5.00

This hair mask gets gently warmed in the microwave then applied to dry hair. You’re then instructed to wrap your hair in a towel or hair cap and leave the mask on for at least 20 minutes, but it can also stay on overnight. This oil treatment is made with organic oils and is safe for color-treated hair. I have oily, thin hair so unfortunately hair oil and hair masks just aren’t for me, but this is the low-value item in this box so I don’t mind at all. I’ll gift this to a friend or swap it.

Verdict: Every month my Clean Beauty Box is a total home-run! This month’s value is $95 which is fabulous for a $38 box filled with high-end brands. I love that they send full size products that always get the job done. It is easily my favorite beauty subscription box on the market and feels perfectly curated every month.

I used the hair mask and it was really, really hard to get out of my hair. The instructions said to wash hair twice. I did that but when I tried to dry my hair I realized a lot was still in my hair and had to go wash it again.

Some times I wish that I had not discovered My Subscription Addiction. Just reading MSA reviews today, I’ve ordered 3 more boxes. Oh! If my husband only knew!

This looks like a sub with luxe items, I also like that we haven’t seen these brands in all the other beauty boxes. I will sign up for this immediately. 🙂
