Cargo Cosmetics Powder Blush in The Big Easy - Value $26

POPSUGAR sent me this blush to try out, too:

This Cargo blush is described as a "Sheer pink with gold and red grapefruit undertones."

PopSugarSpoiler-021

You can't see it in the pan, but it does have a little shimmer, too.

Here it is swatched:

The pigment is buildable and blendable, so you don't have to worry about overdoing it in one brush stroke. (Above swatch is 3 layers to demonstrate the color). There also is a subtle shimmer that is visible at certain angles.

I think this could also work as a highlighter or you could use it over a matte bronzer if you wanted to add a little shimmer.

Has this box started shipping yet?

Last update on my account was Aug. 9…”Pending.” Curious if anybody else has seen movement yet.

CG

Yes mine did last Friday

Moe

There are quite a few planners that start in August…wonder if they’ll include one.

I’m pretty sure blush is for organization. They’re sending such an amazing blush that you won’t need to keep all the blush samples you’ve been collecting, or even your current blush! Just think of how organized you’ll feel when you’ve thrown out those subpar blushes.

To me the blush is more of a spring color. I tend to wear bronzer throughout the summer and fall months as it transitions well with the deep purple and green eyeliner and brown shadows I use during the fall. I won’t use it until next spring. Like many others I’m hoping we don’t get Lisa’s book or any self-help book for that matter!

Mattie

Will they be coming out with another LE box soon? I’m hoping to pick up a good box for the month of September

May

I REALLY don’t want her new book but I guess it’s inevitable ….

Kate N.

Ugh…I HATE getting books. I read everything on my Kindle. Now, if they gave us the option to receive it as an e-book, I probably wouldn’t mind so much….

Kate

The “motivation” piece has to be Lisa Sugar’s new book, Power Your Happy. The pic and spoilers make me think desk organization. A desk pad? Photo or memo holder? A cute folio or folders or office supplies?

Elizabeth

Bet you’re right!

Tara

I will be the happiest camper on earth if that Kate Spade stapler is in there!

Janet

I just moved across the country to start a new job so this theme sounds perfect!

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney Clark

Oooh I’m excited about the blush!!

This theme sounds great, but what in the frig does it have to do with blush? There are 2,000 things I can think of that are more fresh than blush… And 4,000 things that have more to do with transition than blush.

Reply ButtonReply

Brittany

hahaha I was thinking the exact same thing! Maybe that’s the “fresh” part… I’m reaching here….

I just purchased a gift box but now I’m doubting myself. It says on the website that August is the next box, however, it also has an asterisk and states if the previous month is available then you will receive that one. July would be the last box and they recently had it discounted so I would be so disappointed if that’s the box I end up getting :/

Please someone….anyone…please tell me I’m worrying for no reason. Did I just make a big booboo?

Reply ButtonReply

Mattie

Phew…I contacted them and they confirmed August box for sure. That little asterisk had me in a tizzy

Now I’m back to thinking about the theme spoilers again. I hope we don’t get self help books!

Dayan

The theme sounds so awesome! Love anything that’s in the category of “motivation, organization, and order”!
Hope the contents actually match the theme tho, fingers crossed.
The blush falls under the “fresh”?

Reply ButtonReply

Janey

Email or message them.

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

Interesting. The theme always gets me so excited, but then the contents never match up. (just like someone else said). 🙂

If you had been sitting in Popsugar’s “thinking” room (which I believe is right here in Santa Monica!), you might have heard some other theme words under consideration:

fantastic
supergood
box-worthy
swirly
definitely not bad

Christina

Adding to your list:

“It’s not THAT cheap!”
“We really need to move these books so in the box they go!”
“What’s the least offensive item we can find?”

Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Donna B.

Ha!

And I forgot:

Pinkety Pink Pink

Weezie

LMAO

Well I sure hope they are working on the themes a bit more, most months I go back to figure out the inspiration key words and nothing makes any sense.
But this month definitely has some making up to do for the past months boxes.
Lets play the guessing game, a new planner? Some cute folders? Order could be some book ends?

Reply ButtonReply

Kristy

I do the same thing! It never makes sense!

Lauren

I love the sound of this theme!!! It sounds very promising! I also really like Cargo blush (I already own one), but this color looks waaaaay too light for my skin tone, so I was kinda of bummed about that. Hopefully the rest of the products in the box are good.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

I LOVE organization products!!! I don’t usually get excited by theme spoilers, but I can’t help it this time! 😀

Reply ButtonReply

Debra

I’m so tempted after seeing the theme….I’m trying to do all of those things in my life right now!

Reply ButtonReply

Lindy

The theme makes it sound like it will be an awesome box. Can hardly wait!

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I agree 🙂

But what “theme word” does the blush go with?

Reply ButtonReply

Mattie

I would’ve guessed Transition for the blush word since its sheer and buildable. Easy transition from daytime to nighttime looks etc…

Mandy

Maybe the blush is considered ‘fresh’? For fresh cheeks for fall.

Jessica

Fresh for “fresh faced?” It’s a stretch, but they’re always a stretch!
