I usually read YA fantasy with my 12-year-old daughter. I am not sure if she will be interested in this book, or not. She still has NO interest in boys. To anyone who has read it, how appropriate do you feel the novel is for young teenagers? I may shelve it for her to discover in another year or so, or I may swap it for a different book.

I have not read this one but have read all the other Kasie West books. They are usually heavily based in a girl and boy falling for each other, however they all usually have an underneath story about dealing with single parents, life after a mothers death, or struggling for money. The books have nothing inappropriate – kissing is the max. I think it would just depend on if it sounds interesting to her or it could be too unrelatable to her at the moment.

Seriously annoyed by getting the same book 3 months in a row. How do you get a partial refund? And definitely time to cancel one of them!

If you are on the swap site I am looking for this months book and last months This savage song – even if it’s already been read!

I get Owl Crate and Lit Cube – they’ve never had duplicate books. Maybe a similar theme but never the same book or items in both boxes. It seems it’s just an Owl Crate/Uppercase thing and I would be seriously annoyed but I guess that it’s always a chance when subbing to YA box that only sends new releases. One or both clubs even state if you buy a new release YA book then you might end up with in your box as well, as in the case with the reviewer.

How are they able to get the same book back to back?

Ok, I have to say goodbye to one of the boxes. I appreciate that a very partical refund was offered 5. and some change from both boxes, but I still lost out on a good portion of my money. I really loved getting these two boxes, but 3 times in a row? Time to find another replacement box.

Yay!! I never miss a Kasie West book and this has been on my too read list since as soon as it was announced. I don’t get either box so hopefully with it being another duplicate month they will start hitting the swap site soon.
