This month's Girls Can! Crate celebrates the “tenacious champion”, Patsy Mink. I didn’t know much (okay, anything) about Patsy Mink so this month we both had a lot to learn!

This card shows what is included in the box and gives ideas to parents for continuing the learning with their child(ren) after the box activities are completed. These “Take it further” section for parents is becoming my favorite aspect of this subscription.

Patsy Mink is an incredible role model for girls! She stood up for herself no matter what stood in her way. She was the first woman elected to congress and she authored the Title IX federal law prohibiting sex discrimination in sports or any federally funded activity.

The 20 page activity book included in each box is amazing! Girls Can! Crate contains three great activities plus this book which is full of tons of other things to do with your child. Girls Can! Crate is one of the best subscription values I’ve seen for kid’s activities!

I’m excited to watch the Summer Olympics with my daughter so this activity was great fun for us to do together! This was Cira’s first year to join swim team so after learning about the Olympic medals through this activity, Cira became certain she was destined for a gold in back stroke. Oh, if we all had the confidence of youth!

There are certainly not enough science lessons in our lives. I really enjoyed doing this trajectory activity with our daughter. It’s amazing how interested she was even at the young age of 6. When we started to discuss gravity Cira asked about how gravity worked on other planets.

We haven’t been able to use this Olympic Medal Count activity yet but as you can imagine I’m pretty stoked about it. I’m looking forward to seeing how my daughter scores the athletes with her score cards. This is going to be so fun! Go USA!!!

Verdict: We love Girls Can! Crate in our house! It is extremely well thought out and worth every penny you’d spend on it. There is so much to do and learn from this box! Girls Can! Crate has a worthwhile mission along with incredible execution, value, and design. This box has a bit of everything I look for when spending money on activities for my child - fun, education, empowerment, interest, longevity, and quality. Plus, they donate 10% of the proceeds from each crate to organizations such as Girls Education and Mentoring Services (GEMS), Days for Girls, and SheHeroes. This one is a winner!
