Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - Jaws shirt

Jaws Orca Deep Sea Charters Shirt - Value $15?

How awesome is this month's Jaws-themed shirt! Everything about this shirt is perfect. I love that the barrels are out in the water in the shot of the Orca. Jaws is such an incredible movie that still holds up - another one of those movies that I'll watch if I come across it. So good.

This is my reaction when unboxing this shirt:

So great - and it ties in with Shark Week!

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - freddy pillow case

Nightmare on Elm Street Pillowcase - Value $10-15?

This is an exclusive pillowcase featuring one of the greatest horror icons, ever.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - pillow case

It has the color scheme you'd expect - along with that perfect shot of Freddy with his glove ready to go.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - The Strain POP

Vaun POP - Value $7 on Amazon

This month was a double POP month - which we knew going into it - but that doesn't make it any less exciting for me. The first POP is from The Strain. This is a cool POP, but if you're a fan of The Strain - check out the POP of The Master, it's one of my favorites.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - buffy pop

Willow POP - Value $10.99 on Amazon

I never got into the Buffy tv show. I think I've seen the movie to pre-dates the tv series at least 5 times, though. It'd pop up on HBO so often - along with Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead! Dishes are done!

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - Turbo Kid Blu Ray

Turbo Kid Blu-Ray - Value $25-20 on Amazon

This is the Blu-Ray only edition of the movie (opposed to the Blu-Ray + DVD combo pack). This definitely looks very Mad Max-y, which is a good thing! Can anyone recommend this one?

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - Rue Morgue

July Rue Morgue - Value $9.95

My brother absolutely loves when I bring these to him. You'll always get an issue of Rue Morgue in your box, at times it's a special edition issue, but mostly it's the monthly issue of the magazine/

Horror Block Subscription Box Review + Coupon – June 2016 - shirtpunch credit

$10 ShirtPunch Voucher

Lastly, this month all the blocks come with a $10 ShirtPunch voucher as well (this also may be an ongoing perk!). This is an awesome perk because not only does ShirtPunch sell shirts, but also POPs and other vinyl toys as well! This voucher covers the cost of the POP, leaving you with just the shipping, which was $6 for me.

Verdict: This was one of my favorite Horror Blocks this year. I mean, you could've guessed that with it being a double POP month! Besides the pops, I really loved the pillowcase and the shirt. I hope that the ShirtPunch voucher is an ongoing perk - getting a POP for as little as $6 is an awesome perk on top of everything else - they have a ton of good stuff there as well - the $10 goes to good use!

I got mine today. I was disappointed when I saw the pops I hate those things. But the shirt is simply rad. The pillowcase went immediately on one of my pillows and Turbo Kid is a great movie so I’m stoked to get it. Love the mag so overall I was satisfied.

Turbo Kid is an excellent nod to mad max type and the 1980’s. It is a very good film. I haven’t gotten my block yet but am more excited now!! Love how Nerd Block is putting the movies in these blocks

I had totally forgotten about the Don’t Tell Mom movie! I’m going to have to find it for my kids.

I love this box. Too bad I didn’t get it, but it’s definitely a great box.

I hope someone puts the Willow POP up for swap (not that I have much worth swapping for, but my girls and I LOVE Willow).
