This is the information sheet that came with this month's package from Super Geek, detailing the contents. This month's theme is "Hero."
Please note that since many of the items in Super Geek Box are custom / exclusive, lots of these values are guesses.
The Legend of Bubblegum T-shirt - Value $10?
This t-shirt is super cool! Unfortunately it is a big miss for us. My husband won't let the kids watch Adventure Time, and they don't play Legend of Zelda. I rarely have things to pass along to my eleven-year-old nephew, but this might be something he's into.
Legend of 404 Mousepad - Value $5?
This is a very nice mousepad, but it's another miss for us. Not only do we not play Zelda, but we don't have a mouse anywhere in our house!
Super Friends Dynamic Duo Air Freshener - Value $3?
Now here's something we can all get behind! Superman! Hanging from the car mirror! Saving us from smelly air! Nice.
The SwiftPoke Mini Poster - Value $2?
Hooray for The Flash! But we don't know what this is mashed up with, so it's another miss for us. Anyone care to elucidate me?
Rocket Raccoon Plush - Value $12?
This, on the other hand, is a big win! My kids absolutely love Guardians of the Galaxy! My eight-year-old claimed this right away. Plus it's a San Diego Comic Con exclusive!
In another stroke of bad luck, this box was supposed to contain a wrist band (like an old-school sweat band style wrist band) with the mushroom from Super Mario on it, and it didn't! I will email customer service and see what we can do about that. My eight-year-old is a Super Mario mega-fanatic.
Verdict: This was not our best month of Super Geek Box, but that's going to happen from time to time. You can't be into every geeky fandom, I suppose, and certainly not at my sons' ages. I think this box would have been amazing for someone who was really into Zelda and Adventure Time. I think the value this month would have been pretty close to $40 if our wrist band had been included. I will let you know next month what happens with customer service. I'm sure they will make it right.
