owl-crate-april-2016-flawed

Flawed by Cecilia Ahern - Retail Value $18.99 (On Amazon for $11.72)

Book Summary from Amazon:

Celestine North lives a perfect life. She's a model daughter and sister, she's well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she's dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.

But then Celestine encounters a situation in which she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found FLAWED.

In her breathtaking young adult debut, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society in which perfection is paramount and flaws are punished. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.

And this book also comes with a letter from the author to Owl Crate readers:

Mocking Jay Bracelet by The Geeky Cauldron - Value $10

Shatter Me Coaster by Evie Bookish - Value $5?

Two book series I absolutely loved! I'm not sure I'd actually wear the Mocking Jay bracelet, though, so I'll pass it along to someone I will love it!

And this coaster already looks perfect on my desk! Here are the flip sides:

Property of WCKD Decal - Value $7

This is from the Maze Runner - one of those super popular YA books I still haven't read yet. If you recommend it, let me know! Here is a picture from Shailey Ann Designs of it on a laptop:

1984 Notebook by Manuscript - Value $4?

This is an unlined little notebook. Owlcrate seems to send a lot of these style of cute notebooks!

The Star Touched Queen Print - Value $5?

This book is new to me (just released) and after looking at the summary and some reviews I must read it! It is a standalone - not a trilogy! (I am in the middle of so many YA series it is refreshing to come across a fantasy book that is one and done!)

owlcrate-april-2016-magnet

Half Blood Prints Hunger Games Magnet - Value $2

Half Blood Prints = best company name ever? I think so!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $45 (using the Amazon sale prices and my estimates of some of these exclusive items). I think that's a good value for a book box, especially with the curation and bonus book extras that OwlCrate includes each month. I really like the books that inspired the items this month, I think the cover of the selected book is gorgeous! (The book itself sounds interesting, too!)

I love that coaster!! And I agree, that is the best company name ever, I LOL’d and wonder why I can’t come up with stuff like that.

This months owlcrate was such a disappointment for me. 🙁 I bought almost the same bracelet a year ago from ebay for like $1 (okay, with different colours, but still the same), I already own the book in my own language (Hungarian), and I always just put away the decals, because I have soooo many of them from subscription boxes. The only things I liked are the print (looks awesome, but I never read the book) and the coaster (which I will never use, but still a really good quality).

You should definitely read the Maze Runner series. It is interesting as well as a quick read!
