The Craft Beer Club includes flyers that provide information about the brewing companies and beers featured in the month’s box. This month’s box includes beers from Payette Brewing Company and Black Tooth Brewing Company.
On the reverse, the flyers always include “Food for your Brew” recipes and some fun trivia.
Payette Brewing North Fork Lager- 4.4% ABV
Payette Brewing Company is Idaho’s largest craft brewer and has been in operation since 2010. Their North Fork Lager is an easy drinking session beer that’s low in alcohol and pairs well with food. I’m a sucker for a delicious lager, and I’m a big fan of this beer.
Payette Brewing Outlaw IPA- 6.2% ABV
I couldn’t find Payette’s Outlaw IPA on the brewery’s website, but Craft Beer Club lists it as one of the company’s flagship brews. It has “a solid malt base that quietly saunters in with a slightly spicy aroma, hints of sweet pine, citrus, and apricot tones. American hops… lend a hoppy, mildly bitter finish.” Thanks to Craft Beer Club, I’m learning to appreciate IPA’s (they’ve never been my go-to brew), and I really like this one.
Black Tooth Saddle Bronc Brown Ale- 4.8% ABV
Black Tooth Brewing Company is located in Sheridan, Wyoming, at the base of the Big Horn Mountains. Their Saddle Bronc Brown Ale is “dark in color yet surprisingly light in body” and has “hints of caramel, roasted nuts, and cocoa.” Craft Beer Club recommends pairing it with baby back ribs and BBQ sauce!
Black Tooth Bomber Mountain Amber Ale- 4.6% ABV
Bomber Mountain is a well-balanced amber ale. The crisp character is marked by a “profile of biscuits, caramel and cotton candy.” I really like this beer. I think it’s my favorite one in the box!
Verdict: I always look forward to my shipment from The Craft Beer Club, and this box was a great one. I really enjoyed all four of this month’s beers! When it comes to value, the cost of each Craft Beer Club box breaks down to just over $3 per beer. While that’s not exactly a steal, I think the price is fair. I love the convenience of having craft beers sent directly to my door, and it’s so much fun learning about new American craft breweries every month!
Have you tried any of the beers featured in this month’s The Craft Beer Club?
