RBHFEB - 1

Rainbow Honey Cosmetics is an online store known mainly for their nail polishes.  Every month, they release a limited edition trio of polishes only available in the store.  They offer five mystery bags of nail, bath and body products made by the Rainbow Honey Lab each month.

RBHFEB - 4

Subscribers receive this info sheet with every subscription.  It’s very plain, but it tells you EVERYTHING you need to know, and that’s what’s important anyway.  It says we have a trio of products from the upcoming line “Just Lips” and some winter must haves.

Luvable Pink Hand Sanitizer - (2oz) - $3.00

I was never the type to buy fancy hand sanitizer.  I just pick up whatever’s available in the checkout line if I need one.  This smells so good!  I can’t even explain it.  I like putting it on just to sniff my hands. LOL

Luvable Pink Body Lotion - (4oz) - $8.00

I go through body lotions like crazy.  Same here, this smells fantastic, but I always need more.  4 ounces doesn’t cut it around my house and that’s not even including the kiddos.  It’s thick, does the trick, just need more of it.

Flavored Lip Gloss Trio - 3x 4ml - $6.00?

I’m not a fan of this lip gloss formula.  It’s very sweet and doesn’t add a ton of moisture to my lips. The flavors are suppose to be Strawberry Breeze, Concord Grape and Dulce de Leche, but I have two strawberries.  As always, I let the kiddos see everything I had and William claimed the Dulce de Leche as his own since there wasn’t a clear polish he could claim.  Abigail stole a Strawberry Breeze for her purse.  I’m also not a fan of the rollerball applicator.  I would prefer a felt applicator, or for the formula to be solid in a tin pan or something similar.

Nail Polishes

Luvable Pink Matte Lacquer-15ml  - $10.00

This is my kind of pink!  I can wear this all summer long.  Abigail also gravitated to this shade first.  My only complaint, if any, is the formula needs two coats for full opacity.  Not really a downfall, just an observation.

Electric Love Bytes! Glitter Topper - 15ml - $10.00

It’s electric for sure.  This was our least favorite polish this month.  I’m actually starting to think Abigail is cautious of chunky glitter polishes.  I’ve just noticed she always passes when it comes to these.  Anyway, I wasn’t a fan only because of the mix of neon pink and yellow.  It’s just not me.  My mother in law on the other hand loved the swatch and I gladly passed it on.  She says just because she’s old doesn’t mean she can’t wear young nails.  Alright now!

Violetta Bot Nail Lacquer - 15ml - $10.00

This shade was a close second place.  Unlike the pink matte, this formula is fully opaque with one swatch, but unfortunately so thick, my first swatch was rippled. It’s a beautiful pearly purple and I think it’s perfect for Spring.

Verdict:  This month, Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag had an estimated retail value of $47.00.  It’s a good value overall and I’m loving the mix of RH products I’ve received through this subscription. Plus, every month, you’re guaranteed the cost of the subscription considering the cost of the three nail polishes alone are worth more than the box.  What I would love to see next in this box is a nail polish remover and I selfishly would love to see a body oil.

What was your favorite nail polish this month?

I liked the lip glosses, although I agree they’re not very moisturizing. The Dulce la Leche flavor is really good! I’m with your MIL about nail colors — you’re never too old to have pretty nails 🙂

Does their nail polish stay on well or does it start chipping pretty quick?

It says very well Regan! The glitter polishes are best removed with acetone polish remover. #likeglue

This is too “made at the kitchen table by a teenager”-looking for me. Doesn’t Anna review a sub where you create soap or lipstick or facial masks at home? That stuff looks like these containers.

Are there certain dates during the month that this becomes available to buy? Everytime i try to click on the link it says the store is closed. 🙁 I would really like to try one of their mystery bags.

Me too although I’ll probably just get the body/bath bag since I don’t need any new polishes; alas, life with a Julep sub lol.

Side-note: I like the Violetta Bot shade. Very pretty and indeed perfect for spring.
