GlossyBox Subscription Box Review – March 2016

GlossyBox is a monthly beauty subscription box. They have the best packaging in the business, their products are usually deluxe-size or full size, and the value is usually really good too. The only issue with this box seems to be the late shipping – I would recommend just keeping that in mind and setting your expectations accordingly if you sign up for this box.

GlossyBox sent us this box early for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FYI: GlossyBox sends out multiple variations of the box during some months. So, there may be some variation between what I review and what you receive.

The Subscription Box: GLOSSYBOX

The Cost: $21 a month (save more with 6-month or annual subscription)

The Products: Deluxe and full-size beauty products.

Each box comes with a fold out card detailing the items included.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Chihuahua – .16 oz Value $8.40

YES! I love Too Faced Melted Lipstick, and this shade is PERFECT for me! It is a new shade from Too Faced, too. The color is super pigmented, the formula goes on smoothly, adds shine, and smells delicious! (Swatched below.)

Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner – .04 oz Value $11.40

Not a super exciting item, but a useful one! I like the Eyeko brand, and this little liquid eyeliner is super easy to apply. (Swatched below.)

If you aren’t familiar with the Too Faced liquid lipsticks, here is the applicator tip:

I LOVE this shade!

I Love…Cosmetics Super Soft Hand Lotion in Coconut & Cream – FULL SIZE! Value $6

(Scents will vary)

This is a lightweight hand lotion that absorbs quickly. I’m a big fan of all scents coconut and beachy, so this is a winner for me!

Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush 504 – Value $16

This brush is made in the USA, vegan and cruelty-free. And I love not having to buy makeup brushes thanks to subscription boxes, so I’m happy with this in the box!

Vine Vera Resveratrol Merlot Moisture Day Cream – .5 oz? Value $40?

These moisturizer samples aren’t labeled, so I’m guesstimating that each one is .25 oz. It is described as a rich yet lightweight formula, and I’d say that’s about right. I liked how my skin felt after applying it, too. It does have added fragrance, though. I prefer my skincare unscented, but this one, fortunately, isn’t too strong.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $82. I think that’s great for GlossyBox, and this is one of my favorite boxes in a while. The Too Faced lipstick is by far my favorite item in this box, but everything is useful, so I’m happy!

What do you think of the March 2016 GlossyBox? Anyone else obsessed with Too Faced Liquid Lipsticks?

  1. If anyone knows, If I sign up today will I get this box or will April be my first box? Hoping for this box!

    • You will receive the April box, last chance for receiving the March GlossyBox was March 31st.

  2. I am happy with my box. Better than last month. I got a different variety. I received the same lipstick, brush and eyeliner. The variation was Marsk eyeshadow in You’re Toast and a Crabtree & Evelyn La Source hand lotion. I love C&E hand lotion, so I am happy to receive one and love the scent. I am not sure about Marsk shadow color, but I will give it a try or gift. My only concern is that this eye shadow and hand lotion are the exact repeat from Nov. 2015. I was not a subscriber back then, so these items are not repeats for me personally, but I wonder for others. I am especially excited about Melted lipstick as I never owned one before and the color is good one for me. I also love getting quality brushes and it even makes it better that this brand is cruelty-free! Very pretty brush!

    • I got the same box as you and, like you, I am a recent enough subscriber that the items that were different from Liz’s box weren’t repeats for me. GlossyBox seems great (amazingly great, really) at tracking what a person has already received and not sending out duplicate items is subsequent boxes. Anytime they seem to send something from a previous box it always seems to be from a box that was distributed a month or two before the person subscribed. I give them a lot of credit for their organization and record keeping. It seems like a very professionally run company.

I also love the diversity of their products and brands in every box. GloosyBox is responsible for introducing me to so many new brands, I love it. I could not be more pleased with this sub.

  3. I have gotten two boxes each month with this being the last month only because of the overlap in the Gilt deal.

This was a good month. My first box for March was exactly the same as Liz’s except that I received a Raspberry Berry hand lotion which I love!

The second box I just received was different in that I received one EB5 Intense moisture Anti-Aging cream instead of the other cream in Liz’s post and the scent of the hand lotion is Mango and Papaya, which also smells great.

This was a great box. I was disappointed in some past ones, but I really loved this one. I gave the extra Eyeko eyeliner, brush, and TF melted lip stick to my sister.

    • I got the exact same box as you, and I love everything! So happy I got the anti aging cream instead of the vine vera! Great job Glossybox!

    • Hey there Anne,

So glad to hear you are enjoying your GLOSSYBOX subscription! I’m sure your sister was happy about her goodies:) Looking forward to hearing about your GLOSSYBOX experience in the future.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  4. I am super pleased that most of us here received the same or a very similar box as Liz. Gabrielle, if this is your doing, thank you very much! I am sometimes very disappointed when there is a big variance between what is reviewed and what we receive. Great box! Keep up the good work Glossybox!

    • Hi,

Thank you for your kind words! . Your thoughts and opinions have not gone unnoticed and I will pass on your comments to my colleagues, so that you can continue to be excited about the arrival of your box.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

    • I got a different box. I too got the eyeliner, brush and Melted lippie, but I got a Marsk eyeshadow in You’re Toast and a Crabtree & Evelyn La Source hand lotion. I already have the Marsk eyeshadow and was really looking forward to the Vine Vera Day cream and I Love fruity hand lotions. Oh well, maybe in some future box, I’ll get those items.

      • Hi Anna, I got the same box as you. Did you receive the Marsk eyeshadow from Glossybox back in November? If so, it is a repeat for you… Powder eye shadows usually have 3-year shelf-life, so at least it is a good news. I am a newer subscriber, so it was not a repeat for me, but I am happy that I didn’t receive the Vine Vera cream. It seems like it is over priced and controversial. I really hope they don’t send items from their past boxes in the future or at least be able to consider what you have received in the past and make no repeats…

  5. I LOVED this box. I got the TF lipstick and the Luxie brush, of course, as well as the liquid eyeliner, a Marsk mineral eyeshadow in a gorgeous toasted gold shade, and Crabtree and Evelyn hand lotion. Super thrilled with everything, particularly the lipstick, eyeliner, and lotion. I mostly just use liquid eyeliner, and the pen is absolutely perfect for me. I’m also a hand cream fanatic, keeping multiple kinds on my nightstand, in my purse and car, etc. Keep the eyeliners and lotions coming!

I don’t understand why people complain about Glossybox. Part of the fun is getting a variety of products and items from different brands that I wouldn’t think of purchasing outright, and I almost always love just about everything in my boxes. I can’t even think of a product I’ve received that I’ve ever truly disliked and couldn’t use at all. Maybe I’m just lucky, or not as picky as most people. I’ve been a long-time GB subscriber (since 2014, IIRC). A lot of my favorite products ever have come in my past boxes (MTJ mascara, OMG I love so much; other favorites include LA Splash eyeshadow base, Kevin Aucoin eyeshadow, Emite eyelash curler to name just a few). And I’ve always considered it well worth the money, and I don’t bother with discount codes or coupons. The special edition boxes are amazing as well, like the Bergdorf Goodman box many months ago. I look forward to future boxes as a loyal Glossybox subscriber.

  6. Oh I can’t wait to get my box! I’m so excited about this months box. It’s the winner out of Ipsy,Boxycharm and birchbox. Glossy box always keeps me excited. I love melted lipstick and bonus for the eyeliner. Waiting patiently.

    • Hey Bella,

If you love the Too Faced Melted lipstick, you’ll love the one you will receive in your March box. It goes on liquefied and dries down to a demi-matte finish!

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  7. I’ve noticed that in the past four months Glossybox has had very few variations. Guess maybe Gabrielle was really listening after all 🙂

  8. LOVE this box! I’m in Arizona and this hand lotion is great. It’s the first lotion I’ve used in a while that have my hands feeling moisturized. The coconut scent is a bonus.

  9. I got the same box as Liz except for the lotion scent and I love it! I was looking for an angled brush, can never have enough lotion (it is always dry in AZ), was running out of face cream, had just used up my black liquid eyeliner, and the lipstick shade looks great with my skin tone.

    • Hey there Lori,

Seems like this was the perfect box for you this month! Who can ever have enough face cream?! The Vine Vera cream sets the perfect moisture barrier between your skin and outdoor damage protecting your face. Plus, it hydrates (a must in the dry heat of Arizona)!

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  10. I got my box today and it was exactly like Liz’s! Rarely happens, I was praying for the coconut cream hand lotion, the only thing I was looking forward too lol. I don’t use liquid eyeliner, the day cream I can live without and still can’t decide if I want to try the melted lipstick yet. The color isn’t something I really like.

    • Ok I just tried it, I think I hate it on me, looks kind of muddy.

  11. Are there any coupon codes available for this box? All the other codes I tried have already expired.

    • I didn’t like the color at first so I tried just a dab like Gabrielle suggested and really like it now! It also looks great as blush, love it! 🙂

  12. Got mine today, and other than having the blackberry/raspberry hand cream scent, was just like the review box. I really like it — the lipstick applies well and is a good subtle color, brush is a nice change for Glossybox, and though they seem to always include a moisturizer lately, it’s kind of nice, since it’s something I’d have to buy if they didn’t send it. Good, useful box, and nice mix of full-size less expensive products, and sample of something expensive. Not into getting black eyeliners all the time, though.

    • Hey there Molly,

I want to wholeheartedly thank you for your blog post. We here at GLOSSYBOX appreciate that you took the time to review your March box. Your thoughts and opinions have not gone unnoticed and I will pass on your comments to my colleagues, so that you can continue to be excited about the arrival of your box.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  13. Liz, the moisturizer isn’t close to a $40 value. Each pot is much closer to .1 oz, more likely .085. It’s about a $13 value, not $40

  14. I just got my Glossybox…I *LOVE* it! I received the melted lipstick, the eyeliner (my daughter shrieked in excitement and now it’s hers), the brush, the lotion in Raspberry/blackberry (works very well — long-lasting and not greasy) and a nice deluxe-sample-sized Onesta hydrating shampoo and conditioner. It says the shampoo doubles as a body wash and the conditioner works as a shaving cream. Both are going with me on my Spring Break excursion.

Glossybox is always my favorite. This one is a 100% win in my book.

    • Hello Heather,

Wow, we are excited about the wonderful review you have done on this months GLOSSYBOX. I take your feedback seriously and I am excited to see your next review.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

    • I got your exact box. I would have preferred the coconut lotion instead of the blackberry-raspberry, which feels a little too Bath & Body Works in the 90s to me, but it’s not bad. The formula isn’t as good as other hand creams I have but still not bad stuff or anything. It’ll definitely get used. I was happy not to get the Vine Vera stuff.

      • My thoughts exactly. Was NOT happy about Vine Vera, and the lotion is very heavily scented. I guess I will use it on my legs in the summer 🙂

  15. I’m so sick of getting black eyeliners in subscription boxes. Also, that vino cream does sound sketchy. The brush looks nice and I love the hand cream. I got the raspberry blackberry fragrance. I was most excited to try to melted lip product, but the color is much to brown for me. I love the applicator so I might give the color one more try before I toss it.

    • Hey there Vanessa,

The applicator will make the Too Faced Melt lip product more pigmented, which is why the color may be too rich for you. If you want a more subtle look, dab a bit of the lip product on your index finger and apply it to your lips. This will provide a softer look.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

    • Vanessa, I would have to say subs could hold off a couple months on nail polish. I have enough colors and brands to last for years!

      • And dark red lipsticks or glosses, I’m sick of getting those!

      • Yes, the red lip products are the worst. Maybe it’s acceptable around Christmas but that’s it

  16. Hoping to get these exact items! This is one of their better boxes in awhile!

    • I dislike their Customer Service. They are not honest and very deceptive.

      • I purchased one of the past boxes that was discounted to $15 and an item arrived broken. Contacted their customer service and they were out of that item but sent a list of very nice substitute items for me to pick from. I had the new item within 7 days. So I considered my customer service experience from them to be very good! Especially since I’m not w regular subscriber and got the box on a discount.

      • I dont believe it.

      • Believe what you will. I am not an employee of glossy nor a subscriber, nor a blogger. I have a really nice trust fund polish that they sent in lieu of the broken item. No complaints on my end!

      • Well there are many complaints on Facebook. Even on their own page. So glad it worked for you. As for me i think its the worst box ever!

      • I don’t believe it either. I cancelled because their customer service was abysmal.

      • Believe it. I’ve had the same experience. I’ve been getting glossybox for almost a year. I think it was the January box that had a primer in it. Mine came open during shipping and leaked over everything. I emailed customer service, they asked for a picture, but I had already cleaned up the items. I sent them a picture of the primer where you could tell it had spilled and they sent me a list of replacement items to choose from. I chose a thing of Benefit mascara and received it within 7 days. I was pleased with my experience, but I had definitely heard others complain about it. However, that was not my experience and I will always give someone the benefit of doubt when I haven’t dealt with them directly. It’s like any company – you’ll have good and bad experiences.

      • I believe you, Paige! 😀

I had the same experience when I got a box with something broken – they let me choose a replacement and sent it fast.

BUT I’ve also sent about 50 emails that have gone into the ether and been completely ignored. So the best thing I can say about their CS is that it’s very spotty.

      • I had the same fast experience.

This isn’t Nordstrom’s; I don’t expect that experience. This is a sample box. I’ll like some things; I won’t like others. But they do listen and respond.

      • This happened to me in the past. An item arrived cracked and they didn’t have anymore in stock so they gave me a choice of something else from either that box or a previous box so I chose a Tarte lipstick and it arrived within a few days. I’ve always had good luck with their customer service through a Facebook PM.

      • I’ve emailed their customer service several times over products and my subscription. They have always been super prompt and helpful. My experience with their customer service has been nothing but fantastic! Makes me think it could be luck of the draw and just really depends on which representative you get.

      • It may have been beginner’s luck, but my first box had a cracked tube of lipstick. CS asked for a pic, and less than 6 hours later a replacement was in the mail. I was thrilled and impressed.

      • I have to wonder if its the way you go about contacting them that makes the difference. I first tried to go through their site to contact customer service about a broken item. A week went by with no reply. Then I noticed there was an email address. I emailed them directly and got a reply within the hour and a substitute item within about a week. Maybe the link on the site doesn’t work and that is what is sparking all the issues? Or maybe like you said, beginners luck because that way my first time as well.

  17. Really hoping there isn’t much variation this month, aside for the Vine Vera product (there is some very informative posts below on this brand). I did get the Eyeko fat liner from birchbox a few months ago and I love it, so I wouldn’t mind trying another eyeliner from them. I think I am one of the few people who love getting black eyeliners, I wear them all the time so I love trying out new formulas through subscription boxes.

  18. I don’t use make up so I will probably put the lipstick and eye liner for swap. I however love make up brushes. I polenate my strawberry blooms with them and swap the ones I don’t. Lol and brushes won’t expire.

    • Adeline,

What a surprising statement. Surprised that you would subscribe to a box like this if you don’t wear makeup. Is it for the skin care and lotions? I know the Gilt deal was hard to pass up but brushes aren’t sent that often. As a non makeup wearer I would be curious as to what you see as most valuable in a sub of this type.

  19. Crossing my fingers for the brush and the lipstick! I also feel like Glossybox has gone down in value, even during the short five months I’ve been subscribed. However, I have a discounted subscription, so I’m planning on keeping it unless the value continues to fall.

    • Hi Kelsey,

Great news! If you haven’t seen our GLOSSYGlimpse posts yet, I suggest you take a look. The Too Faced Melt lip stick and Luxie brush will be in everyone’s March box!

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  20. UGHH, I love that luxie brush, I got mine in Ipsy over a year ago, and I used it daily so much that the brush popped off of the handle 🙁

    • Hey there Nikki,

Too keep your brushes fresh and give them a longer life, I suggest you clean them once a week. Just a quick rinse with a brush cleaner or shampoo will do the trick.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  21. I am actually supper excited about this box, and I haven’t been excited about glossybox for a while. I really hope that I will receive this version of the box.

  22. Yikes. Vine Vera is made by the same company behind OroGold and they’re huge scammers. Do a google search for “vino vera orogold” and you’ll see what I mean.

Other than that, I’m looking forward to the liquid lipstick product, I’m curious to try it. I’m sure my daughter will be happy with the brush and the hand cream, but I’ll swap the eyeliner.

    • Thank you for the head’s up. I researched Vine Vera and Orogold and I see what you mean. Very questionable ingredients and sales practices. I don’t know if I will even try it. I am surprised that Glossybox would include something with such a bad reputation. I know you can’t believe everything you read online, but there are many very negative reviews out there.

    • Wow. That sounds super sketchy.

  23. With all my sub boxes, I feel like I will eventually have a full set of the Luxie Rose Gold brushes. This will be my 3rd one! Fortunately, no repeats.

I hope I get one of the scent variants for the lotion. Not a fan of coconut.

  24. Oh, I do love my Too Faced Melted lipsticks. LOVE that shade!

  25. That is an awsome box !!!! Too Faced melted lip color is beautiful. I wear it almost every day.
They just came out with a ” brown collection ” Chihuahua is not part of the new collection , its one of the originals. The new line looks delicious.

  26. Been very curious about both Two Faced lip products and Luxie brushes, so I am very excited! Hope I get this box too!!

  27. I am soooo excited for this box!! Every single item is a win for me!! I am really hoping that I get this same one. I love the too faced melted lipstick and have been wanting this shade. The pen eyeliners are the only kind that I use and I need a new one. I love anything coconut scented, always use face cream and the luxie brushes are awesome! ! Great month Glossybox ?☺?

    • Hi Olivia,

Great news! The Too Faced Melt lipstick will be in everyone’s March GLOSSYBOX. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the product.

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

      • That’s awesome! I’ve been wanting to try that color and I absolutely love the melted lipsticks. This looks like a great box! I’ve been subscribed to glossybox for a year now and always feel like it’s well worth the $21.00. ?

  28. For me, this box is not very exciting. It reminds me of an ipsy box. I received both the lip gloss and the brush in my ipsy bag awhile back. If i had paid full price for this, i would be upset, but since i got in on the year deal, i am just disappointed. I have not been loving glossybox for many months now, i think when my subscription is up, i will probably not resubscribe. Does anyone know if they came under new ownership in the last year ?

    • I cancelled a day too late and no one told me that there was going to be another charge for the month of March. Everyone please be aware of the deadline.

  29. 3 out of 5 ain’t bad, to riff on Meatloaf. I’m excited for the TooFaced, the brush, and the hand cream (that last isn’t objectively exciting, but between winter and frequent hand washing hand cream is useful for me). Black eyeliner is kinda *yawn*, but liquid liner is my favorite formulation, so maybe I’ll love this.

But oh, how I wish Glossybox would break up already with the questionable mall kiosk circuit! Vine-Vera is just another corporate alias for the overpriced glycerin-and-water-and-fragrance product packaged and sold as Orogold, Adore Organic, Forever Flawless, and Dead Sea Spa at 1000% mark-ups at the aggressively-staffed kiosks that have sprung up across the mallscape like herpes.

    • I’m glad I’m not the only one unimpressed by Orogold. I saw people rave about it online for months, finally received one in a sub, and I failed to see what all the fuss was about. And like you said, the ingredients are very meh.

      • I got the Orogold hand cream in my December box and was expecting it to be awesome based on the comments on MSA. I was pretty underwhelmed. It’s OK but definitely not worth the money. I wanted to love it but just couldn’t. Davines Anti-Aging Hand Creme and Crabtree & Evelyn Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy are both far superior and cost much less for what you get.

I heard so much positive about Orogold that I thought I was nuts for not liking it, so I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one!

      • Yes!!! The Davines hand creme is by a country mile the best I have EVER used. And now I cannot find it anywhere! I need a substitute. Nothing I have found comes close. I’ll have to try the C&E that you mentioned.

      • It’s been out of stock on the Birchbox Davines sites for months. I hope it’s not discontinued!

C&E is really good, but I do prefer Davines (and it smells so good). I got C&E in my November box in La Source scent and have bought it in Lavender scent as well as Avocado, Olive, and Basil scent from Birchbox. A 3.5 oz tube is $22. I recently checked out other scents on the C&E site, and they have more than Birchbox, plus they were B2G1, so I bought three and got free shipping. They also sent three sample packets that are about three uses apiece on my hands. The Tarocco Orange, Eucalyptus, and Sage one is my favorite so far. I also got Nantucket Briar and Rosewater, but I’m very interested in trying Pear and Pink Magnolia. I wish I’d gotten a sample packet of that.

      • Birchbox and* Davines sites

I just checked Davines, and it still says “Temporarily Out of Stock” 🙁 You can buy it on eBay and pay shipping, but that puts it over the $14 MSRP. I’d rather just wait and use/accrue points.

      • Thanks for the great info! I noticed Amazon is giving a $25 credit for $50 in luxury beauty purchases (code LUX25BACK)…not sure I can justify spending that much, but they have Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams as part of the promotion. They sound delicious….

      • That Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream is the best I’ve ever used!

      • Crabtree and Evelyn are one of the few lotions that softly stay with me. I have always lived their products, and am happy they stay current while keeping those scents that remind me of my mother!

  30. This box looks great. I never got a brush or felt like I got the value when I had GB but this looks really great. If I wasn’t on my hardline budget, I’d probably sub just for the variations of this box.

  31. I love everything in the box. I really hope to get the brush since I was just shopping for one last week, but held off.

  32. I’m one of those who LOVES GlossyBox! I sub’d through a deal they offered over Labor Day which brought the box into the $10 range. I get a few $10/month subs and think GB knocks them out of the park. I plan to sub to BoxyCharm this summer so I can do a side by side comparison with GB. I’m excited for all the items shown in the March box.

I love a good deal and figure any time a subscription box delivers a retail value of 2-3 times the monthly cost; I’m happy! For items I can’t use, I make up Random Act of Kindness boxes for friends and family. They LOVE getting fun mail. If I can’t think of someone who can use a product, I donate them to my local women’s shelter or food shelf. They appreciate having something fun and pampering for their clients.

All in all, I’m pleased with GB and plan to continue. Of course, if I can find a great deal to resub, that would be even better!

    • I can tell you now there is no comparison between boxycharm and glossybox. Boxycharm rules the school! Lol

      • I’m not sure I could do Boxycharm. I like the idea of sampling new things. I don’t want to get something full-sized and end up not liking it..

    • Hey there Cathy,

What a great way to spread the GLOSSY love! I’m sure it is much appreciated 🙂

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

    • Cathy, I absolutely agree with you. I LOVE receiving my Glossybox every month, it is such a treat!! I have found great use for most of the items and like you, give to family and friends for items that are not a good match. I love putting together a little goodie package for their birthday and know they are thought of and loved. I would never toss an item in the trash just because I didn’t like the shade or scent–what a waste!! I am all for getting a great deal (on beauty, travel, household purchases, etc) and the Gilt City deal I purchased has been such a fantastic introduction to GB. I have only had one issue ever come up and the CS was prompt and fixed it immediately.

I think some people enjoy complaining and will always find something to complain about and others will look at the bright side of things and the bigger picture; I feel blessed to be in a place where I can treat myself (reasonably) and am happy to share with others. I’ve also been interested in BoxyCharm–let me know how the side by side comparison goes 🙂

  33. I am excited for this Glossybox. I hope everyone is getting two of the day creams and that wasn’t a mistake or an extra gift for Liz. Glossybox is still one of my favs. I don’t know what some of you have been getting in your Ipsy bags and Birchboxes lately, but mine have had a bunch of teeny tiny samples that are almost worthless. I much prefer my Glossybox and Allure, and have been thinking I will stop Ipsy and Birchbox after this month if I don’t receive something good.

    • I agree about Birchbox, their samples are tiny and they’ve sent me repeat items more than once. The only reason I keep my sub is because nobody beats their points rewards.

  34. I feel like Glossybox has gone down – especially when you compare it to Boxycharm!! I will not be renewing my subscription to Glossy AT ALL!!!!! I used to love it… But now, IPSY is killing them…

  35. Ooooh! I hope I get this exact box! I need a new angled brush for blush and I have wanted to try that shade of Melted!!! This is a fantastic box for my $8!!!

    • Hey there Monica,

If you take a look on our Instagram and Facebook, you can see our first GLOSSYGlimpse!

Spoiler: The Too Face Melt lipstick will be in everyone’s box this month!

      Gabrielle from GLOSSYBOX

  36. Awesome box! I love that eyeliner I’m currently using it, I was about to run out. I think that if you’ve been subscribing to several boxes for some time you’re eventually going to start getting repeats.

    • Hi Lily,

I definitely agree with you, the Eyeko Eye Do liquid eyeliner is amazing!

      GLOSSY application tip:

Place your elbow on a flat surface, then rest your hand on your face and place the liner tip as close to your lash line as possible. Then, simply slide it to the outer corner of your eye.

  37. If I order today, will I get THIS box?

    • There are a variety of boxes each month. No guarantee you will get the exact same combo.

    • Hello Lily,

If you order within this month, March will be your first GLOSSYBOX.

      Hope this clarifies!

  38. I looove this box! You can never have too many brushes! & I understand the let down for some due to some of these items being repeats from other subs, but Glossybox has nothing to do with that. As long as they themselves don’t send out repeats, that’s the best we can hope for as far as that subject goes. I can’t wait to get my box! 😀

    • Hey there Katherine,

Thank you for your kind words! Hope you enjoy your GLOSSYBOX this month:)

  39. Awesome box!!! That’s my favorite lipstick!!! The color is so perfect. now I have 2 – one for purse and one for home. So excited! And those brushes are my fav as well. The other there are great bonuses on top. Yea!

    • Hey there Jen,

We here at the GLOSSYBOX office love the Too Faced Melt lipstick! All you need is a drop of the lipstick to create a stunning lip and the velvet tip distributes the product seamlessly!

  40. I’ve always wanted to try the Too Faced Melted lipstick; but I don’t know about that shade for me. I like the lotion and the brush; but it seems like an underwhelming box. Especially for $21; I’d be a little peeved if I paid full price for it. Luckily with the Gilt City deal it was only $8; so I really only have to like one thing. But I just got that eyeliner in my Birchbox a month or two ago and I think I’ve gotten that brush in an Ipsy bag. I’m kind of tired of all the repeat items.

    • I think Eyeko gave Birchbox the Fat Liner, not the Eye Do, so it’s a different one.

      • You’re right! But I don’t use liquid eyeliner anyway. I gave mine from Birchbox to my friend.

      • I received this exact liner in my birchbox several months ago. Yes they sent out the fat one later, but I got the skinny one months ago.

  41. I like most of the stuff this month, but I feel like Glossybox needs to step it up a bit if they want to compete with the $10 boxes. I know some people subscribed through a Gilt City deal, but their regular monthly price is $21 and the quality hasn’t been keeping up with the $10 subs for the most part. The brush looks nice, but I know ipsy has sent it before. I have gotten the eyeko in a Birchbox. The mini Too Faced Melted is great, but it is also something I have seen in less-expensive boxes (or even free as GWP from Ulta/Sephora). Lotion…yawn.

    • Agree; Glossybox needs to step it up to Boxycharm standards. They’re not a $10 box, Boxycharm is $21 and sends full size items all the time. Plus their box value is usually over $100. I haven’t been excited about Glossybox for a long time. Only resubbed since it was $8 through Gilt City.

      • I agree, for $8, I would love to be getting this box. I would be kicking myself if I was paying $21 a month for it. Was the Gilt City deal a Black Friday deal? Does anyone know if that will be offered again?

      • It was just a random deal, I don’t think it was a Black Friday deal. I want to say it was in December. They seem to have deals all the time on Gilt City or another deal site.

    • Agreed!

  42. Does anyone know if there is a working promo code for glossybox right now? They had the perfume promo last month but it’s no longer working

  43. Will LOVE it if that brush is in my box. *crosses fingers*

  44. Looks like an AWESOME box. Hope I get this variation. I got this same brush from ipsy a few months ago, and I use it every day. The brush is fantastic!

    • I am coveting that brush but not enough to make me sub this box. I have been thinking about Glossy for a while but can’t seem to pull the trigger.

      • I know what you mean – for $21, I’d never do it. I pre-paid for a year when they had the Gilt City special. But now we know that periodically, they sell back boxes for $15 without a subscription needed. Let’s hope they come up again soon!

  45. comment

  46. Fingers crossed I get that lipstick! I wonder if there a color variations.

    • The card lists this specific shade, so I believe everyone should get the same color.

      • Good, because I have 3 or 4 of these in other colors but I don’t have that one.

The value is good, but I’m kind of “meh” about Glossybox lately. I think it is probably time for us to break up. Only I am locked in for awhile yet because of the Gilt City deal. At least I am not paying every month, which is some consolation.
