Has anyone else had a tough time cancelling GlobeIn? I’ve sent them 3 emails since early last week and have yet to hear back. I was trying to cancel last week so I could avoid being billed for a new month and here I am a week later and being billed. Currently not so happy with them.

I always call them. They have always been very prompt in taking care of my needs. I cancelled this fall and they reimbursed my card b/c the box hadn’t shipped.

Hi Meg, ProductsAmassed:

Meg, we have just taken care of your cancellation.

ProductsAmassed, sorry about our unnaturally slow responses these past few days. We have received quite a few emails due to the price increase and (to our greatest joy!) our subscribers community is growing fast, so we have been a bit behind with emails and calls.

We are a small team of four trying our best to reply to every single email and call as fast as we can and it is breaking our hearts to see disappointed comments from customers like you 🙁

One thing we can promise: we will get back to you and we’ll cancel your subscription and we’ll give you a refund for the Artisan Box or Benefit Basket that you don’t want!

Me too. I ordered a basket sub, and contacted them to cancel the box. I also followed up to confirm. No response to either email and I got billed for it. Their customer service is generally top notch, with a really fast response time, so that’s a disappointing change.

This makes me really glad that I just upgraded to the full Artisan basket (pre price increase), though I switched theme on that. I write & thus I generally love blank notebooks/ journals, & I love the concept of anything reused/ recycled, but spiral-bound anything is my least favorite. Additiinally I never buy them @ that high of a price point (partially b/c I go through them so quickly); I get most @ Homegoods/ TJMaxx for $6-7 but have also purchased fair trade, recycled &/ or artisan-made journals for much less than $20. I realize that the basket is also included, but even w/ that – & even w/ as much as I love the idea of globeIn – this just wouldn’t! excite me….especially compared to last month’s bowl & january’s beautiful towel. That said, I AM super excited about the Cozy-themed Artisan basket/box I switched to & will be receiving this month!
P.S. Can subscribers also change the theme for benefit boxes? I never had the desire to do so for the few months I received before upgrading, but just wondering…I know that option- in addition to the ability to skip – is what allowed me to pull the trigger on upgrading as it allows great flexibility and eliminates the possibility of receiving items I have no use for. Wish more subs were so flexible!!

Maybe it’s just my love of animals and twisted sense of humor, but I absolutely love that paper can be made from elephant poopy.

Thanks for posting Liz!

That’s a disappointing repeat…

I wonder if this is the start of Globein phasing out/downgrading the basket? Especially given the recent (and excellent) upgrades to the box, with no mention of the basket.

I would be sad about that. I am trying to drastically simplify my possessions, so I’ve recently cancelled most of my subs. I like GlobeIn too much to get rid of it completely, so I switched from the box to the basket as my compromise with myself.
