The FabFitFun Box is a quarterly subscription from FabFitFun.com. Each season they send you a box of $100+ worth items in categories like beauty, fashion and fitness. They just recently launched this Welcome Box as the first box you will get if you subscribe. FYI – This box includes some of the items from past boxes. Current subscribers will NOT receive this box. This is only for new subscribers.

If you are interested in this box – it is still available for purchase!

FabFitFun switched from an info sheet to a mini mag with the fall box, and I love the change. Here are some of the pages:

And there is also an info card for the items included:

On to the items:

FRENDS The Donna Earbuds (Value $80)

Here are the variants for the earbuds:

Here are the earbuds up close:

fabfitfun-welome-box-earbuds

I know the FRENDS brand makes pricey earbuds and headphones, so I wasn't too surprised by the listed retail value on these. (For example, these Earbuds from 2014 were originally $100).

As far as quality goes, I was very impressed with the sound. (The button on the cord serves as a play/pause button). I even had my husband Eric try them since he's much more obsessed with sound quality than I am and he was surprised by how good they sounded.

From Eric, "They produced a good bass and the sound wasn’t tinny like most earbuds I’ve used."

Wren Heart Pendant – Value $100

There are a few variations of this necklace: moon, heart, or horse shoe, in either gold or rose gold. The necklace is 14Kt gold dipped yellow gold, with 1pt black sapphire stone. It’s 18 inches long, with 2 inches in extender chain, and it is made in the USA too!

Here is a closer look:

I'm all about delicate gold jewelry, so this one is perfect for me!

fabfitfun-welome-box-zoya

Zoya Polish in Carey – Value $10

(Subscribers will receive this color or Avril)

I love the Zoya polish formula, and I think both of the shades options for this box are perfect for Spring!

Passport to Beauty Tibetan Goji Berry Eye Serum - Value $88

The eye serum is a lightweight gel/cream. And yay - it is unscented! (No parabens either!). I used up this serum when it was originally featured in the Winter 2014 box, and I'm happy to have more. The formula is gentle even on my dry winter skin. It does have retinol in it though, so something to keep in mind if you have very sensitive skin, or plan on being outside in direct sunlight.

fabfitfun-welome-box-jumprope

FabFitFun X CosmoBody Jump Rope – Value $14

It wouldn’t be a FabFitFun box without a “Fit” item, and I think this is a practical one – and it doesn’t take up too much of the value of the box. (CosmoBody also released some workout videos featuring jump ropes to coincide with this box).

fabfitfun-welome-box-gorge

Gorge I’ll Make You Look Amazing Daily Spray – Value $29.95

This is one of my favorite FabFitFun discoveries! It is a “does it all” leave-in conditioner hair product – it detangles, adds shine, repairs, creates silky hair, etc. The formula is lightweight, and it has the best beachy scent!

fabfitfun-welome-box-shoptiques

Shoptiques $25 Gift Card

I love that FabFitFun included this gift card in the box. Here it is open:

fabfitfun-welome-box-shoptiques-card

And extra good news: no credit card required to use this if your order is under $25. (And! There's no mention of FabFitFun on the gift card itself - so if you wanted to gift it, it doesn't look like it came from a subscription box).

fabfitfun-welome-box-milk

Organic Valley Organic Balance Milk Protein Shake – Value $2.99

I avoid dairy in my diet, but I was surprised to see this is actually lactose free! It has 16 grams of protein in a bottle, but the sugar content is sort of high too: 23 grams.

Verdict: I think this is a great Welcome Box from FabFitFun! For one thing, I love the branding of the box and the magazine. This is not a random box of items - a lot of thought and work went into putting these Welcome Boxes together!

And as always with FabFitFun boxes, the retail value is seriously impressive - $350! (and even more amazing for a $40 box if you sign up with the MSA10 coupon).

I love the eye serum! If anyone is trying to get rid of it I’ll take it!! (;

Did anyone else have problems with their box too? I received mine a few days ago and the nail polish bottle was completely broken and spilled out everywhere. I contacted customer service, but so far haven’t gotten any response from them ):

Does anyone know if the shoptiques has an expiration date? I still have mine from the winter box. Thank you in advance.

Just got my welcome box! I know the retail values are a little inflated, but I’d still have definitely paid $100 for all the items with the quality they have in here! I’ve been seriously gleaming at what a good box this was, especially considering I only paid $25 for it with the 50% off deal. Love the eye serum, love the headphone, but out of all the items, I actually like the shoptique card the most. I really appreciate that FFF included this so we can complete the value of the box by selecting our own items at Shoptique, which does have a pretty vast seletion. Yes their clothes can be a bit expensive, but I was more interested in accessories anyway, and did find quite a few great and unique items that are already on sale. There’s also a 10% off coupon for Shoptiques on the internet. So with that, the gift card, even with the added shipping, I only paid a total of $4 to get a beautiful reversible tote and a leather memo pad (the listed retail price for these two items would be over $80!). Now again patiently waiting for them to arrive!

Beware of Shoptiques. Worst customer service ever, period. Borderline scam. Will never order from them again.

I just ordered the welcome box at 50% off! Does this mean I get the water bottle and speacker as well with it?! That’s what I really really wanted the most. I love the speacker as it has a fm radio as well as Bluetooth, you can’t find that anywhere anymore! So excited to receive my first box from FFF!

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

Nope, no water bottle and speaker – I think there was a separate code you had to enter to get those items. 🙁

Serenity

Is there a way to skip the welcome box? Like if I’m interested in subscribing for the spring box but don’t want to pay for the welcome box first because I don’t find it that appealing?

Does anyone know if the giftcards are stackable? I ordered a box with the 20% off code. The conditioner, eye cream and ear buds are all repeats for me, in a good way. Of all the ear buds I’ve gotten in sub boxes these are the only ones that actually work for my ear shape. They fit like the Apple ear pods.

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

No, they are not stackable. I just had a conversation with a customer service rep about it, and it was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with customer service. I get so frustrated when they say it’s a “giftcard” on the card (which should be just like cash), and then they don’t let them stack. In fact, she actually came out and told me it WASN’T a giftcard, it was a coupon (in spite of the fact that the card itself says it’s a giftcard). Even more frustrating, the fine print on the card does not say it can’t be used with another giftcard/coupon. Other companies (like the Victoria’s Secret rewards cards) disclose that they can’t be combined. This one led me to believe that since it was a giftcard, and since it didn’t say it couldn’t be stacked with other giftcards, that I could do it. I got all excited b/c I have three of them, and right now they’re doing free shipping off $100, so I was going to just pay $25 + tax and get a great dress. But the customer service agent said there just wasn’t anything she could do. She didn’t seem to care that it was deceptive or that I wouldn’t be able to get my order after all (because there was no way I was spending $75 of my own money). I always try to be as kind as possible, but I’ve never dealt with someone who just continued to say “nope, I can’t do anything about it,” and never once offered any kind of solution or tried to make it right. The thing is, I know she could have done something–any company can offer a discount code or put a credit to a person’s account in the name of customer satisfaction and making things right. That would have gone a long way. Birchbox would have just been like, “So sorry we weren’t clear about the terms, I’ll go ahead and honor it for you.” Or “I’ve just put $10 worth of points into your account for the inconvenience.” Etc. Shoptiques didn’t care, and that’s what bothered me so much. I get promotions and exclusions, but I still think those exclusions need to be made clear, and customers should be treated kindly.

Anyway, back to the point. So really, just consider this a $15 dollar gift card, because you’ll owe $7-$10 in shipping. (That was another annoyance–I put something cheaper in my cart afterwards, and the estimated shipping on the subtotal page was $6, and then when it took me to the “submit order” page, it had gone up to $9.50. What?!)

Just been a bummer of an experience all around.

I was able to stack a 10% off deal at Shoptiques with a $25 gift card. Hope that helps 🙂

Their Summer Box was the best one by far. I did not like their Fall and Winter box. It was a good thing I canceled after the Summer box. I am looking forward to their Spring box. If it’s up to my standards, I would probably subscribe again.

Be aware that this “organic” shake drink has artificial sweetners in it! Yuck!

Reply ButtonReply

jill

“stevia” is not considered an artificial sweetener. This has wayyyy too much sugar in it though.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

I love artificial sweeteners. I would weigh 20 pounds more if they didn’t exist.

Reply ButtonReply

Gail

lol me too, Ragan! if not more!

Cera

Can you just order one box or do you have to sign up for a full year?

Reply ButtonReply

FabFitFunCS

Hey Cera! We offer two subscriptions, quarterly and annual. You can pay for the full year with the annual plan. If you don’t want to pay for the full year you can purchase the quarterly subscription, if you receive the box and feel it’s not for you, you can cancel at anytime by logging into your account. Feel free to email us at [email protected] at anytime if you have more questions.

Jen

I ordered this box and was really looking forward to it – I was really surprised and kind of disappointed when they sent me the winter box instead. The box is nice, but was not what I had signed up for and purchased.
On the bright side, I’ve been going back and forth with Jean from customer service the last few days about it and she has been wonderful and so very helpful! Not sure what they will do to resolve in the end, but so far it’s been a very positive customer service experience for me.
Jean’s great customer service saved the subscription for me (I had considered cancelling after receiving the wrong box). I’m hoping others weren’t affected by the mix up I experienced.

I will vouch that PSMH customer service was a pleasure to deal with when I had to take care of a billing mix up last year. They were prompt, courteous and took care of the situation in an appropriate manner.

I’m willing to bet they will send you this box or at least give you a credit – my fingers are crossed for you!

nelliebelle1197

Amber, I would not be so quick to vouch for PSMH CS until you check out some of the issues of the last 4 months.

Kim

Amber, I’m glad that you have had a good experience with PSMH CS, because they have gone down hill in that short time, because after subscribing to them since last November — despite having some nice boxes, it will be a cold day before I renew my subscription to them. It’s been a living nightmare!!!!

KC

I’m sold! Signed up last evening for the Welcome Box. And, if I read the FAQs correctly, will be charged again on 3/7 for the Spring Box, too.

Yay, me! Thanks Liz and FabFitFun. <3

Just a heads up for current subscribers: You can still get 20% off ($10 off each box) if you use the code GROUNDHOG. It also works on anything else in the shop. But note, this code expires tomorrow at 5pm so there isn’t much time to ponder. $40 for a box worth $350? Why not??

Reply ButtonReply

Bell

Do you know if this will be for every month and not just the first month? Was going to get this but it doesnt tell me on there…

Reply ButtonReply

Summer

Just to clarify, is that 20% off each box for the life of your subscription or just off your first box?

Reply ButtonReply

Karen

I wish! It’s just a onetime deal. The price goes back up for all future boxes.

Rian

It looks a lot better in this review than with the spoilers and I’m seriously considering getting it! I think this is a great welcome box that perfectly sums up this sub.

Reply ButtonReply

Crystal

But isn’t this is a welcome box?Meaning the first box when you subscribe. Meaning you wouldn’t get a random box of repeats because you aren’t a new subscriber. Or maybe I’m missing something?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

That’s correct. I realize I didn’t properly call that out in the review. I just updated the beginning of the review to clarify! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

I’m pretty sure I received at least three of these items in their box last winter. If I was still subscribing I would be really annoyed by the repeats.

Reply ButtonReply

Maria A.

Love this box! Anyone looking for a horseshoe?? I am looking for the moon lol Please let me know?? Would be happy to trade ? Great review, as always!

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

These are all overstock from previous boxes.. That doesn’t tell me thoughtful curation.

Reply ButtonReply

Michael Broukhim

Hi Randi!

Michael from FabFitFun here. This is a specially designed “welcome box” for new subscribers. We re-ordered the items based on what received the best ratings from customers in past boxes. Its actually impossible for us to have ‘overstock’ because we’re always ordering equal amounts of all products, and we keep selling each seasonal box until they’re all gone. The “welcome box” is our way of ensuring we can get a new customer their first box quickly after they join FabFitFun. Hope that helps clarify things!

Cheers,
Michael

Bell

Michael, do you know if we are able to pick which necklace or polish color we get if we sign up for a year?
I remembered that you can do that for the reg boxes, so I wondered…
Thanks!

Katherine

Agree.
