supply-pod-x-files-card

The box includes a detail card outlining all the items inside, Last time, they had a theme spoiler for the X-Files box on this card, but no hints this time around.

supply-pod-x-files-POP

Dana Scully POP - Value $11.19 on Amazon

This box is timely for two reasons. The obvious one is that the X-Files are back on the air! And the personal one is that I've started re-watching the series! It's been so long since I've watched some of the episodes, but it's pretty cool that even season 1 still stands the test of time. I'm thrilled to get a Scully POP - another one added to the collection!

I'm loving that she's got a flashlight ready to go.

Beanie Hat - Value $10?

This item was made for this specific box. Be ready for aliens and winter with this hat. A simple, but cool graphic!

supply-pod-x-files-comic

IDW The X-Files Season 11 #1 - Value $3.99

They include the first issue of The X-Files Season 11 from IDW. While this run of the comic is the latest, the issue is pretty old now. We also received this in the August 2015 Comic Block. I definitely plan on reading season 10 and 11 once I run through the show again. I love IDW's comics based on hit shows and movies - I'm sure I'll love this one too!

Truth Detector Card - Value $5?

I had some fun with this, making Liz test it out for me!

Cell Phone Wallet - Value $5-10?

The include a cell phone wallet with the same graphic as the beanie. These have a sticky back that you can attach directly to your current phone or case.

supply-pod-x-files-timeline

X-Files Timeline Poster - Value $10?

I loved the Star Wars Canon Timeline from their Star Wars box - this one is just as cool.

supply-pod-x-files-real-science

The Real Science Behind the X-Files - Value $18.44 on Amazon

From Amazon:

Could an alien organism really survive a centuries-long trip on a meteor and remain virulent enough to attack a human being? How would a scientist know she was peering at a microbe from another planet? What's the possibility of a genetically mutated monster actually developing?
In a gripping exploration of the facts behind the science fiction that has enthralled millions of X-philes, Anne Simon -- the respected virologist who comes up with the science for many intriguing episodes -- discusses telomeres, cloning, the Hayflick limit, nanotechnology, endosymbionts, lentiviruses, and other strange phenomena that have challenged the intellect and threatened the lives and sanity of America's favorite FBI agents. With Simon's extraordinary gift for explaining complicated, cutting-edge science in a light, accessible style, and her behind-the-scenes commentary on the development of various plot lines, The Real Science Behind the X-Files will appeal to science buffs and X-Files aficionados alike.

I smiled when reading the first line of this description because that is the episode I had most recently watched. I have a long way to go to catch back up...

Verdict: I thought this was a good delivery from Supply Pod. I'm happy anytime I get a POP, and this is no exception. It seems like they struggled a bit coming up with science items for the box. The book hit the mark, and I guess the truth card could be considered science as well. All in all, I had fun unboxing it and I like the comic, POP, beanie, and will take a peek at the book - so it's a win!

I got mine early! And I love it so much! I also have the Star Wars timeline and I love it. They are doing such an amazing job with these timelines. I love my Scully! I went and purchased Mulder, the Alien, and CSM – they have them for sale for $8.99 on Barnes and Noble. Also the truth detector card has the value on the card – I think its like $3.00. We really like the beanie and I actually already have the book – I purchased it a long time ago, but I am glad to have a signed copy and plan to reread it. It is a very good book.

This is an awesome box and I can’t wait for the next one!
