This box comes with an info booklet – the first page is a letter explaining the theme. Inside each maker and their product is detailed. There’s also details about the fair trade practices, community support initiatives, etc. – it is a feel-good read!

Y'abal Handicrafts Blue Seahorse Pillow Pet - Value $24.95

(Subscribers will receive one of several colors).

Ah - this is so cute! And the flip side of this pillow is made with different fabric swatches for two looks in one:

Sundos Massage Oil Candle with Shea Butter - Value $5

This candle is scented with Lavender essential oil, and it is made with shea butter so you can use it as a massage oil too. (Not sure if there will be variants with the scents - but I love lavender, so I'm happy!)

Handmade Bud Vase from Nepal  - Value $12

(Vases will come in the same size and color but in a few slightly different shapes.)

I was expecting a super tiny bud vase when I saw the spoilers, so this is actually a little larger than what I was expecting. (It measures about 4 inches across).

Palm Leaf Basket – Value $12

Each box comes with some of the contents packaged in a palm leaf basket. This month the introduced a new square-shaped basket. I love the new design, but I was a little surprised to see no lid! Open storage it is!

Handwoven Bowl from Mexico - Value $10

(colors will vary)

The sides of this bowl are pretty thick - so this bowl is very sturdy for a bowl made with palm leaves!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $64. I think that's great for a subscription box that focuses on fair trade and giving back. And GlobeIn is really impressing me with their themes and curation each month! Plus that pillow pet is just too cute.

What do you think of the November 2015 GlobeIn Artisan box? Which item are most excited about?

I just got mine today and I’m a little under whelmed… The candle is from etsy and made in the US, despite the misleading info card that says Ghana (and I went to the etsy shop, no where does it say she gets anything from Ghana, just that she tries to buy fair trade). And the vase is from ten thousand villages… I like the little sea horse, except I wish mine wasnt orange since I hate orange. Oh well. The baby likes it.

My box came today, I love everything! The seahorse I received was red and green, the perfect Christmas present for my niece. This is one of my favorite subscriptions!

Anyone know if they’re shipping yet? I’ve not heard a peep yet and I’m getting anxious! 🙂 It will be my first GlobeIn!

My box arrived on Saturday and I got the red seahorse, which I was hoping for. This is a terrific GlobeIn month for me!

I would love a seahorse if anyone wants to swap!

When I get my box, I plan on listing mine on the swap site. It’s cute but I have no use for it. 🙂

Great, I’ll be watching!

I can’t wait to get my box, but I am disappointed that the square basket didn’t come with a lid. They’re perfect for storage, but not so much without a top.

Tamara

Y’know, I’ve found that I rarely use the lid. Easy access, I guess?

I actually wondered about the missing lid, too, but I’m not sure if I consider it a negative. I think the square one looks a little bigger and like it could hold a little more? It would maybe be nice to get a mix of the new square baskets and the old round ones with the lids. And maybe occasionally even a wider, shallow basket – actually, similar to the palm leaf basket above. I think I may like the variety, but would definitely still like to get one with a lid once in a while.

Liz,
I wish you’d include shipping in the cost for a box. I went to possibly subscribe to Globe In (it looks great) and had sticker shock when I saw the shipping cost.

Just a thought.

Hi Erin,

I just double checked and this box (as a subscription) is showing up as $35 a month with free shipping for me.

(They offer their boxes as a one-time purchase for $50 – maybe that’s what you saw?) Hope that helps!

I love everything! Not sure if I’ll keep the seahorse or give it to the 10 year old down the hall who walks Oberon, but everything else is definitely a keeper.

Tamara

… You named your dog Oberon?? THAT is AWESOME. 😀

mimi

Thank you. Oberon is a Sheltie. Our previous dog was a Samoyed named Mercutio.

No lid with the new baskets?? Odd. I think that makes them similar to the ever-ubiquitous storage cube, although a bit smaller than most. The lidless version might be less ideal for gift “wrap”, and a little less versatile in general, but I did read somewhere else that the square design is sturdier/more stable. Plus–it’s super cute!! I’m looking forward to mixing up my collection.

Liz, what color is your shallow basket? Natural inside and out, with just a black border on the edge? Or are the sides colored?

I love it! I wish there was a way to order just one box, without having to subscribe and then cancel.

Kim

You can order one box, from there website, just click on shop. The boxes are $50 each, but you can get just one as long as it hasn’t sold out.. 🙂

Cristina

Can’t get over how cute that seahorse is.

Can’t wait to get mine! Been loving this sub for the few months I’ve been subscribing. I just ordered 2 Cozy boxes to give for gifts for Christmas bc I loved mine so much.
I think I might be most excited for the square basket and the round bowl, but also the candle and bud vase. Seahorse is super cute, not sure what I’ll do with it yet, but I do like it. I guess I’m really excited for the whole box!
