HABIT Nail Polish in Deep Sea - FULL SIZE! Value $18

I love this nail polish bottle! The color is a deep blue creme - gorgeous!

Hana Organic Skincare Eye Oil - Size ? Value $18

(Value from info card). This oil is made from only a few ingredients: jojoba & rosehip seed oils; Vitamin E; rose essential oil. I like the formula, but I'm not crazy about the rose scent. Fortunately, it fades pretty quickly.

Ursa Major Face Wash - Value $6

My husband discovered this facewash through Birchbox Man, and it is now his favorite, so I'm happy to see this in the box! (It's a brand that is geared toward men, but most of their products work for everyone - I'm a fan too!)

Essence of Vali Sleep A Bedtime Ritual Vial - Value $1

I've received this sample before, and I really like the blend: Essential oils of lavender, marjoram, cedarwood & ylang/ylang. You put a drop on your pillowcase at night, and get the relaxation benefits. This vial should last for a few nights!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $43. I think that's really good for a $15 beauty box, and I'm happy with the sizes of the items. I know not everyone gets excited about nail polish in boxes - but I still love getting nail polish! (Especially when it is in a gorgeous bottle like this Habit one, or the Smith and Cult bottles!)

I must admit I have never paid attention to these reviews but on a whim looked at this one and saw it had a habit polish which are my obsession. I looked at several of your older reviews and decided to sub. It just shipped. Here’s hoping I don’t get the disco polish which i already swapped for…

I have mixed feelings about this month’s box. While I really the nail polish (I got disco, which is a rose-gold bronzy polish…. thing), I think I would have liked a darker color (like a grape color or that deep blue). I was also a bit disappointed to receive another face wash since I haven’t touched to last month’s Blissoma yet (I might pass on the Ursa Major to my boyfriend if he’s willing to), but the fact that it’s more toward men doesn’t really bother me since the scent can be liked by both and really, skin types are shared I feel. The eye oil is interesting, but I have another eye cream to go through beforehand (but I can’t really blame Petit Vour for that). I’m curious to try the sleep oil even if there isn’t a lot. But true I could have liked my box better this month with some more variety (instead of the face wash there could’ve been a serum or a moisturizer).

I must have that card! Does anyone know If I sign up now will I get the October box? Also, is there a coupon? Thanks!

no coupons available on monthly subs. i ve never seen a coupon for a monthly sub. Email them to see if they have more oct boxes left. I was able to get one today 🙂 – After I saw that card I had to have the box. Its going to look so cute framed.

Thank you for your reply 🙂 I went to the sign up page and it says your subscription will start with the October box :). I cancelled Ipsy for this, at my age (44) I need more natural good skin care products and less gimmicky makeup for teens!

I wish I had gotten you np color Liz… I got the same beige shimmer color I’ve gotten at least 4 other times from subscription boxes. 🙁 The sleep oil I’ve gotten before as well… I never cared for the smell.

Super excited about this box. So much so I resubbed. I’m not fond of nail polishes in boxes. Yet the rest of the stuff looks great!

This looks like such a great box. I LOVE getting nail polish in my boxes!

I don’t get this box anymore but I love getting nail polishes too (at least when they are not pale pink, peach, or nude). I have four racks for them hanging in my closet and I think all the colors are pretty to look at. I have 30 or 40 brands and I kind of like the irregular appearance that comes up with all the different styles of bottle.

I was a little disappointed by this box- I love, love PV and have enjoyed all my boxes, but I am not a nail polish person at all so the value wasn’t really here for me this month. I got an emerald green polish.

This is probably my favorite beauty sub, at least based on consistency. I almost always discover a new product or brand I buy again. This month however was a bit of a letdown. I didn’t like the fragrance oil when they sent it last winter so I doubly don’t like getting it a second time. They can’t possibly be running out of samples to include already based on the variety of options for sale in their online store. I’m also not a fan of getting products targeted toward men in a women’s beauty box. Again there have to be female centric options they could include (or maybe just stop including face wash in general for a while since I have gotten 3 in 4 months now). And while I also love getting polish in sub boxes and the like the design of this bottle in particular, the formula is not my favorite since it chips in a matter of hours even after using a base and top coat. So that left me with the eye oil, which I do like a lot. Not the best value overall for me. Hubby doesn’t/won’t use face wash and I don’t care for the scent and won’t use it either. Here’s hoping one of our boys will. Other than the eye oil and polish, it felt like a random sample grab bag with a repeat and a product that looks like a company freebie that’s also not intended for the target audience. Here’s hoping next month is back on track since I do love me some Petit Vour!

Hi EC! Thank you for your honest feedback on the October beauty box. We actually didn’t feature any repeat items in the October box, so you might be thinking of another sub that featured Essence of Vali last winter. So far, we’ve only ever featured 2 repeats (Mun serum and Schmidt’s deodorant) and they were to new subscribers only. Just wanted to clarify, so folks don’t think we throw in random, old samples. All new–promise! We hope you love the November box! Xx

I am obsessed with these habit nail polishes. Every time I see them up for swap from a box I try and get them. Looks like I will be on the hunt again

I love, love , love this subscription box! The product card is so pretty this month! I think it could be displayed somehow. And all the items are things I’ll enjoy trying. I’m most excited about the polish! Oh, and the eye oil!

I displayed the card on the entrance to my cubicle at work. Think I will bring in last month’s card too and start a little gallery.

That’s a gorgeous box and nail polish 🙂 I would love to try a vegan/natural beauty box and I’ve been eyeing this one and Goode box too.

Am I the only one who was a tad confused by the directions for the aromatherapy oil? On the package it cautions not to put it on your skin, yet on the box insert it suggests applying it to the wrists, inner elbows, and other “pulse points.” Did the Petit Vour staff not read the directions first?

Not that it affects me much since I don’t plan on using the oil ’cause it smells like hell. But still…

The polish I got was a lovely gold shade, I’m pretty excited to try it out.

I noticed that discrepancy too. I would absolutely not apply the sleep oil directly to my skin. It’s way too powerful. Maybe if you added a drop to a carrier oil or unscented body lotion.

Andi

That’s a good point about Sleep! Their roll-on perfume has a jojoba base, but this does not, so it’s really not safe for direct contact with your skin. They also have a separate diffuser blend, but I don’t see why this one couldn’t be used in a diffuser.

I also saw this discrepancy and emailed petit vour. Their response back stated it was ok to put on wrists etc. I still do not plan on placing it on my skin if the packaging says not to!

Andi

I didn’t realize Ursa Major was created for men! I love the natural fragrance, and the face wash removed all of my makeup in one wash. I received the nail polish in Disco, a gorgeous glittery bronze. And I actually think Sleep would be a nice perfume. They sell it in a rollerball, too. I’ve received quite a few eye oils lately, but this one absorbs very quickly and seems to work well. I’m very pleased with this box!

That sleep oil is powerful. I put one drop on a tissue and tucked the tissue under my fitted sheet at the head of my mattress. Omg it kept waking me up like every 15 min. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a delightful scent. .. just so powerful that it ended up stimulating me rather than relaxing me. I may give it another chance if I can think of somewhere in my room to tuck it that’s far away from my head.

Megan

OMG same. I’m a total insomniac and was excited about this. I put some on a tissue next to my pillow (as per the manufacturer’s instructions) and I actually slept worse than usual. I may have used too much?

I’ve found it does help if I put on a lavender scented hand cream before bed.

Ragan

I like to put fragrance oils in a cool mist diffuser near my bed at night. They’re fairly diluted with water, in that case, so they’re not as strong as something you’d spray directly on the pillow. There are a bunch of cheap ones ($30 and under) available on Amazon.

Jamie M

Thanks, Ragan. I’ll look into that.
