Here’s the list of items in this month’s box.

Snack Sack Subscription Box Review August 2015 - Sack

Here’s a close-up of the burlap sack. There are even more treats stuffed inside!

Snack Sack Subscription Box Review August 2015 - Cabo

Mano Chili Lime Cabo Chips (1.5 oz.)- $1.25

This is my first time trying Cabo Chips, and I’m a fan. The Mango Chili Lime flavor is really tasty, though I can’t really pick out the flavor of mango.

Apple Cinnamon Barnana (3.5 oz.)- $4.99

I’ve received Barnana snacks a few times in subscription boxes. The chewy banana bites are high in potassium and have a nice banana flavor. They’re a slightly disturbing shade of brown, but Barnana makes it clear on their packaging that this is normal and natural.

Snack Sack Subscription Box Review August 2015 - Chia

TropiKale by Veggie-Go’s (.42 oz.)- $1.39

This fruit leather contains a blend of tropical fruits alongside nutrient-rich kale, apple, and pumpkin. It tastes a little “green,” but I’m a fan.

Health Warrior Apple Cinnamon Chia Bar (.88 oz.)- $1.47

Chia Bars are high in dietary fiber, Omega 3, plant-based protein, and antioxidants. The flavor of this bar is great, and I love the addition of crunchy chia seeds.

Wild Blueberry Pistacho Bar by This Bar Saves Lives (1.5 oz.)- $2.22

Blueberries and pistachios come together in this sticky and sweet bar. The flavor is fantastic, and it’s great to know that, for each bar purchased, the company donates food to children in need.

Snack Sack Subscription Box Review August 2015 - Keenwah

Aged Cheddar Quinoa Puffs (1.5 oz)- $1.75

I’ve tried a few different snacks from I Heart Quinoa, and, unfortunately, these aren’t my favorite. I usually love cheese puffs, but I don’t like the way the cheese flavor melds with the flavor of the quinoa puff. I much prefer the Herbes de Provence flavor.

The Original Veggie Medley Straws by Mediterranean Snacks (1 oz.)

Veggie Straws are one of my favorite potato chip alternatives, so I’m very pleased to receive these in my SnackSack. These are gluten free, contain no trans fat, and have 30% less fat than regular potato chips.

Snack Sack Subscription Box Review August 2015 - Mango

Sol Simple Organic Dried Mango (1.5 oz)- $2.50

I’m a big fan of dried mango, and I love that this is solar dried. The flavor is excellent!

Apple + Pineapple Bar by That’s It. (1.2 oz.)- $1.67

This bar contains one apple and a quarter of a pineapple. Just like the name, that’s it!

Citrus Splash Gummies by Tasty Brand (.8 oz)- $1

I love gummy candy, and I’m always happy to try a new organic brand. Tasty Brand Citrus Splash Gummies contain electrolytes and are free from GMOs, corn syrup, and artificial colors and flavors. Best of all? They’re delicious!

Snack Sack Subscription Box Review August 2015 - Bops

Sour Cream and Onion Bops (.8 oz)

Bops are non-GMO, certified organic, gluten-free, baked, and contain 65% less fat than regular potato chips. They’re crunchy, and I like the subtle sour cream and onion flavor.

Chinook Seedery Hatch Green Chile (1.5 oz)- $1.25

Chinook Seeder’s Hatch Green Chile sunflower seeds are flavored with hatch green chiles, jalapenos, habanero peppers, and onion. They’re spicy and full of flavor!

YummySnack Pizza Flavor Baked Cheese Crisps (1 oz.)- $3.23

These cheese crisps are made of 99% real cheese. They’re grain and gluten free and have an interesting, unusual flavor. (They’re definitely cheesy, but they don’t remind me of pizza.) I think they’re okay, but I’m not sure I’d buy them again.

Verdict: I’ve been receiving SnackSack for a few months now, and I’ve been very impressed with the selection of healthy snacks they choose to send. They send a good variety of tasty products, and I think their packaging is great. I couldn’t find a price for all of this month’s items online, but I’d estimate the total value of this box to be about $26. It’s rare for the value of a food box to be higher than it’s cost, so I’m thrilled the value this month. I would happily recommend this subscription to anyone looking for a well-packaged, junk-free snack box!
