Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Info

The box comes with an info card detailing each item included.

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Headband

Banded Headband – Value $10

I love this headband! The colors are great, and the inside is lined in a no-slip velvet like material, and it has enough stretch in the elastic part to not hurt my head!

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Amica

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo – 1 oz Value $9

I am on dry-shampoo overload thanks to subscription boxes, but including a dry shampoo in a gym box makes sense! I’ve sampled this one before and I like it – the scent is great, and it doesn’t leave any type of white residue.

Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel Cleanser – 50 ml Value $5

This cleanser is designed especially for oily and acne-prone skin. It is non-foaming, and I like the scent. I also found it to be gentle – just as described! (I just got this in the August Allure Beauty Box too!)

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Sage

SAGE & ROW bare shave cream – FULL SIZE! Value $17

(Good to know for swaps – inner foil seal)

I first sampled this shave cream thanks to the May POPSUGAR Must Have box, and I’m a fan! It’s a paraben and sulfate free formula, and I like the scent too. (It’s my go-to back up when I forget to buy new Schick Intuition razor blades!)

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Socks

Pointe Studio Socks – Value $22?

I have these socks thanks to other subscription boxes, and I’m a fan of the colors and patterns. (I was expecting both socks to be grippy, but the purple ones are regular athletic socks).

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Joha

Joha Stripes Earbuds with Mic (colors will vary) – Value $8

From what I can tell from the Amazon reviews, these aren’t the best quality headphones, but will be a good backup pair to keep in a gym bag, purse, etc.

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Bottle

Vapur Shades Anti-Bottle (colors will vary) – Value $10

This “bottle” is BPA free, and I like the carabiner clip and drinking spout cap (it isn’t exposed when you aren’t drinking).

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Stainiac

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara – FULL SIZE! Value $24

I sampled this mascara before thanks to a Bianca Jade Quarterly box. It wasn’t for me, so I will be swapping it.

It provides good lash separation, and pretty good length and volume as well. Unfortunately, I found the formula to be a little irritating to my eyes, so I don’t think it is a winner for me. (After realizing it was irritating my eyes, I tried to remove it with my regular makeup remover wipes, and had zero success – this is definitely a 100% waterproof, smudgeproof mascara – just a heads up when it is time to remove it!)

theBalm® cosmetics Stainiac – FULL SIZE! – Value $17

This stain isn’t as pigmented as I was expecting. You can rub it in for a very subtle look, or layer more. I think this is my preference with a stain – that way I can avoid accidently overdoing it and getting a permanent clown face that requires complete makeup removal!

Here is a swatch to show the color:

Also, just a reminder to make sure to add your free sample pack if you buy this box (or any other Birchbox shop order of $35 or more before discounts).

Here are the two samples I received with this order:

Birchbox Gym Bag Heroes Limited Edition Box Review + Coupon Bonus

Harvey Prince Hello Body Cream – .5 oz Value $1

Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner in Indigo – .8 g Value $7

I’m happy with my samples – the eyeliner goes on smoothly and stays put! Plus I love the indigo color. (And I just realized that I complain about getting too many eyeliner samples if they are part of a subscription box, but if they are bonus I’m happy!)

Verdict: This limited edition box has a value of about $122. Even though I won’t use every product, I’m still really happy with this purchase, especially since I used a 20% off coupon to get it even cheaper! What do you think of the Birchbox Limited Edition Gym Bag Heroes Box?

  1. Well, for $22 shipped plus the sample pack I decided to go for it (used a 20% off code and redeemed 100 points). So much I know I’ll use here and enough stuff worth swapping or gifting if I don’t decide to keep those items. Thinking about leaving the dry shampoo, water bottle, and cleanser in my trunk with a couple other necessities in case a road trip turns overnight or something and I don’t bring anything with me. The full size items alone that I like more than made up for $22 cost. Hoping the mascara doesn’t cause any eye irritation for me and I love the lighter stain since I am incredibly fair skinned. Excited about the socks, shave cream, and headband most!

  2. I cannot get any of the codes to work. Has anyone been able to?

    • I used takealeap20

    • I know a lot of them are one-time codes, so if you’ve used them in the past, they won’t work again.

Also, some of them have minimum purchase amounts, like $35 or $50, so if you spend less than that, they won’t apply.

  3. I received the items but it was missing the card information.

  4. I bought this box thinking I would gift it, but like many of the products and and keeping some for myself! I am out of shave cream and was happy to get this! I’ve used up stantanic before, and agree it’s not that pigmented but good to use as a base before lipstick keeping that for me. The headband is adorable as are the socks – they will be regifted as well as the earplugs and water bag. I am sooo happy to get a different color eyeliner I have about 8 black ones! I did not get the Hello body lotion which is good as I do not like the scent, I got a Vasanti enzyme scrub which I have in full size so glad to have a travel size. Dry shampoos are not good for my already dry hair so that is being regifted the cleanser I will use for sure. I’m picky with mascara so that will also stay in the box. I can make a nice gift box from the items I won’t use and feel the ones I am keeping am very happy with. I forgot about using a 20% coupon code, darn, but I did use my points on this box. Not disappointed in this box at all, very fun and some new products for me to try

  5. Yes, that mascara is so irritating to my eyes. Interesting to know I’m not the only one that had that issue. I traded for it on the swap site, but after 2 days wearing it I had to pitch it. I was ready to claw my eyes out. The box is a great value, if the items work for you!

    • I thought I was the only one too!

  6. We got the exact same patterns on stuff in our boxes! I was surprised with how big some of the products are! I’ve sampled the Avene cleanser before, but it was about a third the size of the one in this box. I’m also pretty lucky that I live one town over from the nearest shipping center. I ordered Tuesday evening and it was here today 🙂

    • Box twins! 🙂

  7. I just left the Birchbox store in Soho. The box is on sale there and you can see all the products on display (pretty cool). If I hadn’t spent so much already on boxes and such, I would’ve went for it.

  8. LOVE this box and I’m so happy I got it. The socks are amazing, my daughter loves the headband, earbuds and waterbottle. Can never have too much dry shampoo and face cleanser. There are only two items we won’s use, so they are up for swap. But as a whole, this box is great and was nice to come home to after a crappy day!

  9. My shipping didn’t update until today. And it says one day left. I kept wondering why it said label created for almost a week. I don’t think they scanned the labels when UPS took them.

  10. I really like the box itself! And the socks are great– I will try to swap for those.

  11. So much stuff! I hope the next LE box that catches my eye is this jam-packed.

  12. Did you spring for expedited shipping? Mine was ordered Monday and hasn’t started moving yet.

    • I didn’t – I ordered it Sunday night, and I live in PA, so I typically get very quick shipping from Birchbox. I hope your package moves soon!

    • I’m in Nevada and I got mine today. I ordered Monday as well.

      • I’m in Vegas and ordered 15 minutes after it was offered. My tracking shows delivery on Thurs. For some reason my BB deliveries always take 10 full days minimum to reach me.
