Horror Block Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Tee

Silent Hill T-Shirt - Value $10

This shirt is made with 100% cotton (like all Nerd Block shirts) and the design is exclusive to Horror Block subscribers.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – May 2015 POP

Hannibal Will Graham POP Vinyl - Value $10

My husband Eric just got into watching Hannibal, and he doesn't have this POP yet! (He said the show is really good - and that's as much as I know. I can't handle scary TV/movies etc.)

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – May 2015 DVD

Horror Block Short Film Festival DVD - Value $8?

This is another subscriber exclusive. (And the first ever Horror Block Short Film Festival). It includes 5 films that won prizes like "best scream."

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Rue Morgue

Rue Morgue Magazine – Value $10

Rue Morgue's Weird Stats and Morbid Facts - Value $14.95

Horror Block usually includes the latest Rue Morgue issue in their box, so in a way if you subscribe to Horror Block, you get a subscription to Rue Morgue as well.

Horror Block Subscription Box Review – May 2015 Print

Creature of the Black Lagoon Print - Value $8?

This print is another exclusive for Horror Block subscribers. (They included it since the Creature from the Black Lagoon recently celebrated its 60th birthday).

Verdict: This box has a retail value of about $61. (That's using some of my estimates on the exclusive items, so it could be a little off). I think the value is pretty good - what do you think of the May 2015 Horror Block box?

I was happy with this box. I got a funko Hannibal which my mother loves lol, and the silent hill t shirt was cool. I always like this box.

I really love this box so much but I am getting it much later than most everyone else. Last month I received it two weeks after everyone else. This month it was ten days after everyone else. 🙁 I live in New Mexico.

I contacted customer service the first month and the second month I used the email address that was offered in an email apology that was sent out to many Block subscribers.

All I got was ‘we are so sorry this happened’ emails. No follow-ups or comments made as to how they are going to fix the situation. The only reason I haven’t canceled (so far) is that I love this box so much.

Getting the box long after all the contents are revealed is a real bummer!

This was a good box because of the Rue Morgue products, but I was very disappointed with the Nerd Block customer service. My copy of Weird Stats and Morbid Facts shows up with the cover slashed and torn off. When I emailed for a replacement, they would only offer a refund of $2.50, not a replacement of the book. Very disappointing customer service.

That’s disappointing to hear! I guess their service has gone downhill – back in December or January (whenever they included the classic Universal horror Pop figures), the hand-sanitizer leaked all over the inside of the entire Horror Block and damaged/warped/stained the Pop box. I emailed customer service, and they requested photos of the damage, after which they gave me the option of replacement or refund for the Pop and refund for the sanitizer. They mailed me a replacement figure within a week and I was refunded appropriately. I was impressed! I’d be bummed if they don’t offer replacements anymore.

Nope! Their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! 3 boxes in (classic/arcade/horror), and each had item(s) damaged. Got a response to 1st box, sent pics then was brushed off. ZERO response to the other boxes.

Usually damage on the so-called “collectible” item…..making it worthless. Like my Creature print has a piece of it torn off the face…..making it worthless to frame.

Need better quality control and wrap items individually since things shifted and get bounced around during shipping!!!!!
