Arcade Block Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Mario

Flying Squirrel Mario Plush - Value $14

Super Mario Pull Back Racer - Value $10

Super Mario items are always a hit with us! Subscribers either received the Mario or Luigi plush, and the pull back racer is varied as well. We lucked out with all Mario!

Arcade Block Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Shirt

Freeman's Crabshack Tee- Value $15?

This is going in the swap pile. (After a little googling I found out this is from the video game Half-Life).

Arcade Block Subscription Box Review – October 2014 Key

Portal 2 Key Cap - Value $6

Street Fighter Pixel Bricks - Value $12

This Street Fighter Pixel Bricks set contains 188 Pixel bricks! Thankfully it also comes with a visual instruction manual.

Arcade Block Subscription Box Review – October 2014 White Board

Notes from Hyrule - Value $4?

These are two postcard-sized white-board magnets. I didn't have any luck finding them online, so they may be made for the box.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $60. I'm happy with the retail value - but this box is a bit of a miss for us this month since really the only two items my husband loves are the Mario toys! (But that's the gamble with these geek and gamer boxes - it really depends on if they send items from your favorite characters/games/shows/movies etc).

What did you think of the second Arcade Block?

My twelve year old son was quite pleased with this box. Not enough so to replace Lootcrate though, so it seems he now has two subs. I like that this is geared exclusively to gaming and the value seems higher to me even though it’s a bit more than Lootcrate.

If you squint, Street Fighter Ken looks a little like Luigi from Mario Bros. At least that’s who I thought I was.

I have a friend that would love this sub. The Mario is the best, IMO.
