The Modern Girl’s Guide to Glamping

As a gal that grew up backpacking in Oregon and scuba diving in the Key West, I know a few things about the outdoors. However, I’ve lived in or around very large cities for most of my adult life, so the real estate for storing skis, backpacks, tents, etc is limited and I’ve had to pare down my outdoor gear and choose quality over quantity.

That said, you don’t need a lot of gear to go glamping and if you’re looking for a place to gear up slowly with guidance, Bespoke Post is a great way to begin this journey.

Bespoke Post is a monthly membership club that delivers awesome boxes of top-shelf goods from under-the-radar and small business brands. As a member, you get to preview your box and choose to keep, swap or skip it. They also have The Shop where you can buy individual items that pique your interest, along with themed boxes for one-off purchases. I highly recommend selecting the outdoor theme and using this as a way to build up some quality glamping gear.

The Packing List

1. S’mores Goodies. List starter. Nuf Said.

Check out Bespoke Post's Crackle box for everything you need to make s’mores outdoors.

2. Jammin’ speakers

3. A great Rose or Pinot Noir (+don't forget the wine opener and travel style wine glasses)

4. An active game like Cornhole or Horseshoes for the day, and a board game or cards for the evening

5. Morning coffee equipment and tin mugs

If you’re a true coffee drinker, the Roast Box from Bespoke Post is imperative for anyone on the go. Having the right grind, and a fresh grind is muy importante. This kit comes with a hand grinder, a french press to-go cup, and a small bag of whole-beans. Super-sexy and really not just for the camper. Anyone that’s busy and that’s a coffee aficionado would enjoy this box.

6. Snacks and basic food, but let's be real… This is glamping. Go out to eat. Bring back BBQ or burritos to eat at the picnic tables.

7. Cozy slippers for the winter and flip flops for the Summer

8. Beanie for the Winter, and bucket hat for the Summer

9. Lanterns, flashlights, and a lighter

Bespoke Post is one of the few places to feature Barebones products, which are oh so sleek. Pictured above are the Barebones Vintage Flashlight, Barebones Edison Mini Lantern, and the Barebones Forest Lantern. What I love about Barebones is there’s a combo of glass and metal, but plastic where needed for longevity or function, like the LED lighting. These products are quality and should last longer.

10. Cool shades and Sunscreen …Always!

11. Your furry pals, because glamping is made for doggos

Are you surprised at how little you need camping gear to go glamping? Yup! That’s the point. Get started with Bespoke Post.
