Taco Tuesday: 3 Times Green Chef Really Stepped Up the Game
1. Beef Tacos With Lime Crema
First and foremost, we decided to include a more traditional take on Taco Tuesday from Green Chef. The foundation of these tacos rests upon a classic ground beef and white rice filling, but the real flavor stems from this meal’s toppings. Not only are charred corn, cotija cheese, and fresh cilantro sprinkled into the mix, but these tacos are topped off with a spicy lime crema as well.
These beef tacos are certainly for the more traditional Taco Tuesday fans, but the lime crema adds a bit of character to make them stand out against your usual beef taco. Each serving of this meal contains 990 calories made up of 94 g carbs, 42 g protein, and 49 g fat.

2. Turkey Tacos With Mango Chimichurri Slaw
While most people find cheese-smothered beef or chicken tacos quite satiating, this meal will make them seem like meager appetizers as each serving contains a whoppin’ 1,210 calories with 90 g carbs, 55 g protein, and 72 g fat - talk about an epic cheat meal!
To start, this recipe throws in a base of savory black beans simmered with umami-packed mushroom stock concentrate and creamy chimichurri sauce and then mashes them together with rich Monterey jack cheese. Then, the tacos are topped off with ground turkey, sautéed roasted red peppers, tangy Cholula hot sauce, and an orange-chili spice blend.
But wait - that’s not the end of it! The final layer includes a crunchy-sweet, mango-studded cabbage slaw dressed with creamy chimichurri sauce. Basically, you’re getting a bit of every flavor in this meal which makes it quite the adventure.

3. Korean-Style Tofu Tacos
Last, but not least, we had to include at least one plant-based option from Green Chef for you to try. These tacos are certainly not traditional in the slightest which makes them even more fun to make with your family regardless if you’re a plant-based dieter or not.
This Asian-inspired recipe starts off with tofu and then dresses it up to the max by mixing it with Gochujang-style sauce and frying. Then, cabbage and scallion slaw is tossed with Sriracha-ginger mayo and added in with the tofu, and then topped off with candied peanuts.
Each serving of this meal contains 1,020 calories with 67 g carbs, 32 g protein, and 69 g fat.
