Megan’s Holiday Gift Picks: My Favorite Fragrance, Beauty, and Plant Gifts
Tis’ the season to buy loads of gifts! As someone who is lucky enough to try out tons of new products, I tend to keep a running Christmas gift list all year long, adding standout products to it whenever I discover something that I know a loved one would enjoy. We all have people in our lives who are easy and not-so-easy to shop for, so I wanted to share with you what is on my shopping list for my friends and family this year. Below you can see some of my box recommendations as well as some individual products I discovered in my boxes.
Let’s play Santa!
My holiday gifting list with subscription box gift ideas and more!
1. A plant from The Sill
Cost: Individual selections vary depending on the plant and pot combination you choose.Β
What is it?: You all know I am a plant addict. Sending a live plant is way cheaper than sending a cut bouquet! It also (hopefully) lasts a lot longer and comes already planted in a beautiful ceramic planter if you select one, or ship it in a plastic nursery pot for even less! They have everything from spider plants to fiddle leaf fig trees.
Who Iβm Gifting This To: Long-distance friends that I would normally send fresh flowers to. Over the last year or so I have started to send live plants instead of fresh flowers and this site makes it easier, less expensive, and much more hip!
2. The Birchbox x MΒ·AΒ·C Cosmetics Lip Set
Cost: $35.00 Buy the kit here!
What is it?: A totally awesome Birchbox limited edition box featuring MAC lipsticks! Four are full size and the other 2 are minis, which makes this a great value for $35.00. They all arrive in a sleek black makeup bag.
Who Iβm Gifting This To: Marne, of course! She loves lipstick more than anyone I know and must own 29,421,753 colors. She still is just excited each time she receives or buys a new tube, and I know she would love this assortment as much as I did!
3. The Bespoke Post ‘Legacy’ Box
Cost: $45 a month for members, $55 if purchased without a membership.Β Buy it here!
COUPON: Use code ADDICT25 to 25% off your first box.
What is it?: Basically the world’s coolest table clock. Based on WWII-era altimeters, this timepiece adds an industrial element to my master bedroom while still looking perfectly historical. It is heavy duty and beautifully constructed. This clock retails for $99 on the brand’s site, so buying it through Bespoke Post with or without a membership is a HUGE amount of savings!
Who Iβm Gifting This To: My grandfather. I previously selected this piece for Will via my Bespoke Post membership and we were both so impressed with the quality that I knew it would be an excellent gift for my extremely hard to shop for Pop!
4. A Handwoven African Basket from GlobeIn
Cost: $60 each. Buy one here!
COUPON: Use code MSAWELCOME to save $10 on a 3, 6, or 12-month subscription.
What is it?: One can never have enough baskets around the house (IMO!) and these are strikingly beautiful. Each one is different and unique because they are each handmade by artisans. These are large enough to collect your current yarn stash, magazines, or anything else that needs a beautiful place to “be” within your home.Β Β
Who Iβm Gifting This To: My interior design enthusiast friend Natalie. She is a world traveler and loves adding handmade pieces to her home that are functional but also double as art pieces.
But Megan, I, like, REALLY love this person and I want to gift them a multi-month subscription to an awesome box.
Say no more!

I love your picks you must be a scent loving earthy girl like I am!
These ideas are awesome!!!
Perfume collector (addict??) here! And I love earthy things so much! Give me all the plants, crystals, and oils! <3
Fun list. Thanks Megan!
Thanks for reading <3
Thanks, Megan, for the idea of using Sill instead of sending a cut flowers to someone. I also liked the way you listed out the reasons why you would gift a certain item to somebody.
Thank you Sarah! I feel like The Sill is polarizing as a normal sub when I review it because the price does seem steep for a plant a month. But when compared to sending fresh cut flowers? No comparison IMO! Thanks for taking the time to read my list π
