Makeup Artist Secrets: This Game-Changing Ingredient for Clearer Skin

As a makeup artist, I’m always testing and looking out for the best skincare products and ingredients to improve my skin and allow makeup to sit flawlessly. What I’ve found is that the first and potentially most essential step in any skincare routine is choosing the proper pillowcase!

We spend an average of 6-8 hours per night with our faces pressed up against a pillow, which can have either detrimental or beneficial effects on our skin - depending on what we choose.

Standard cotton fiber pillowcases can cause friction to our skin, aggravating existing breakouts/causing new ones, absorbing our precious (and potentially expensive) skincare products, and creating premature lines and wrinkles. Opt instead for a satin pillowcase - my favorite being from Kitsch!
