Why we love it: Ipsy sends you 5 beauty and makeup samples each month PLUS a makeup bag! This is one of the best beauty subscription boxes in terms of retail value compared to cost—most boxes have values of $40 or more. It's also a great subscription for getting full-size makeup. The brands are a mix of high-end, mid-range, and drugstore brands, and they occasionally send beauty tools like brushes and tweezers, too!

2. Birchbox

Why we love it: Birchbox is one of the original beauty boxes, and it's one of our favorites for discovering new beauty brands. (They also recently launched their own in-house brands!) Each month, you'll get 5 beauty samples (haircare, skincare, makeup, nail polish, fragrance, etc.). We really love that they let you pick one of your samples each month—that way you have something specific to look forward to, but you still get to be surprised by the rest of the box!

3. Allure Beauty Box

Why we love it: Each month, Allure sends subscribers 6 beauty samples (including at least full-size items), and there's sometimes a bonus item, too. They send some high-end brands, and the sample sizes are usually pretty generous. This box really brings the fun of Allure Magazine to life!
