First Impressions
Beauty Heroes believes in a less-is-more approach to packaging. My products arrived in a neat white box, nestled in crinkled, recyclable brown paper for safe delivery.
This month's discoveries are from RMS Beauty, a beauty brand I've admired for years. They have gorgeous, colorful (and recyclable!) packaging and a top-notch founder, Rose-Marie Swift: a woman with a mission. With 30 years of experience, she sets out to make a bold statement with her brand; she firmly believes that with great ingredients, using less, and reusing more, she can show the world that beauty can exist without lowering her standards for ingredients, all while being kind to the environment.
Of all my years as a true subscription box enthusiast, I've never seen a box play off past boxes as Beauty Heroes does with its One Way to Play card. It is brilliant! They refer to previous boxes, giving you ideas for which items work well together and how to mix and match products. This month's card calls back to products from Odacité and Ursa Major.
Beauty Heroes must have read my mind; colder seasons are approaching, so it is time to indulge in rich textures and amp up moisturizing and nourishing skincare. I was thrilled to try a few body care products from RMS Beauty; I already know that their makeup always delivers stunning results, so I had very high expectations.

RMS Beauty Kakadu Body Butter, 180ml - Retail Value $49
Ooh la la! This month's Beauty Heroes Hero Product promises of lasting moisture and skin radiance. Kakadu plum seed oil is rich in vitamin C, and paired with shea butter and jojoba oil, it is sure to bless your skin with a smoother, baby-soft texture.
I mean, just look at that rich, luscious butter! It is also packed with niacinamide and peptides to leave your skin looking and feeling better than ever. I used this all over after showering, and it felt healing to have my skin saturated in such a luxe product. I was able to stretch a little product for each use, so I will use that to justify repurchasing this in the future. Girl math!
Whoa-- I know this looks thick (it is!), but I assure you, it disappears into your skin without feeling like you've used a heavy-duty cream.
RMS Beauty Kakadu Beauty Body Oil, 100ml- Retail Value $52
I am living for body and face oils right now. I simply cannot live without them! This one has vitamin C to enhance skin radiance, jojoba oil to soften, and the RMS Adaptogenic Blend, which includes St. John's Wort, ashwagandha, horsetail, mugwort, and more to help balance out the skin.
I was impressed by how feather-light and fast-absorbing the application was. I don't mind a heavy oil because I am weird and dry and just into that greased-up feeling, BUT a light oil is great when you're headed out and need to get dressed quickly.
RMS Beauty Chameleon Lip Oil, 5ml- Retail Value $26
I have been fascinated by lip and cheek products that go on clear and use color magic to transform into your own unique shade since I first discovered them; it never gets old!
I really like this substantial packaging; the bright green is flashy, and the girthy tube is easy to find in my purse. Nourishing jojoba oil melts into the lips while bitter cherry seed oil layers antioxidants and vitamin E on the skin. The cheerful pop of pink looks great and is so easy to apply.
Verdict
Beauty Heroes featured three full-sized RMS Beauty products this month, and they exceeded my high expectations. I don't think I will ever get over the satisfaction of dipping my finger into the perfect tub of Kakadu Body Butter for the first time. Priceless. I am really happy with this month's box, and it's made me look forward to my very early morning showers; even looking at the pretty, colorful packaging on my vanity has given me a little happy boost. I think this box would also make an amazing gift for anyone out there.
