So Susan Color Curate Bag – July 2026 Review

Classic neutrals, a shimmer blush I'm already obsessed with, and one lipstick miss.

We went from bold colors last month to classic neutrals with a hint of glimmer this month. I have to say, everything in this bag works so perfectly together; it's a complete makeup look in one pouch that you could genuinely take on a trip and have everything you need from day to night.

So Susan Color Curate is a monthly makeup subscription service that sends four full-sized beauty items in a makeup bag for $20.95 a month. All products are 100% cruelty-free, vegan, and paraben-free!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

What’s Inside

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Original Sheen – Retail Value $35

Shade: Intense Summer

I'm not usually drawn to overly shimmery palettes, but this one is gorgeous. The shades can be layered for a more intense look, but a single layer gives you just enough glimmer to keep things wearable. The colors are perfect for summer and complement my deeper complexion really well. It's also one of those versatile palettes that mixes and matches easily with others you already own.

So Susan Blush & Glow – Retail Value $22.95

A 2-in-1 done right. The blush is soft and natural, just enough to give you that sun-kissed look without going overboard. But the real star is the shimmer, which adds a subtle glow that means you can skip the highlighter entirely. This one's going to be in heavy rotation all summer.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Butter – Retail Value $18.95

Shade: Balloons

Mixed feelings on this one. The shade isn't really my thing, and the formula had some issues too, it glides on easily and feels buttery at first, but once it dries down it looks cakey and leaves my lips feeling dry and uncomfortable. For a product called Lip Butter, I expected more moisture payoff. I shouldn't need to layer a balm or gloss on top to make a lipstick wearable.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Diamond Twinkle Shadow Buffing Brush – Retail Value $22

What a nice surprise to find a brush in the bag. The bristles are incredibly soft and it buffs beautifully, perfect for the eyeshadow palette that's also in this month's box. It could double as a highlighter brush too, which makes it even more of a keeper.

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $20.95

Retail Value: $110.90 (including the makeup bag)

On their own, the value was there. The eyeshadow palette and the buffing brush make it worth it alone. I’m not 100% in love with every product – the lipstick was a disappointment – but I can see myself reaching for that shimmery blush all summer long.
