Silk + Sonder July 2026

July is almost here, and we’re already a full month into summer vacation. I have to admit, though, this so-called “vacation” has been busier than the school year, and I’m wiped out! Between baseball and gardening, there hasn’t been much time to tackle my summer to-do list, and I’m definitely feeling the pressure.

While I always use my Silk + Sonder planner to keep track of my day-to-day life, it has become an essential part of my routine for managing everything I need to get done. My June planner is seriously full! Without it, I’d be completely lost.

It’s not only beautiful to look at, but it also gives me a chance to pause, reflect, and reset. It helps me stay organized, grounded, and just a little more in control of everything going on. Honestly, I can’t imagine managing it all without it.

Savoring - The practice of fully experiencing, appreciating, and enjoying life's moments by being present, engaging the sense, and finding joy in the now.

I love that Silk + Sonder chooses a unique theme each month, and I truly appreciate how thoughtfully Meha Agrawal, the creator, curates each one. July’s theme is Savoring, and honestly, it’s exactly what I need during this busy season of summer.

Life has been moving so quickly, and this planner reminded me to slow down, be present, and fully appreciate where my kids are in this stage of their lives. The house doesn’t need to be perfect. What matters most is recognizing that this is such a special season of motherhood.

So this month, I’m focusing on being present, staying engaged, and savoring all of the moments I’m fortunate enough to experience.

One of my favorite things about Silk + Sonder is receiving a fresh planner each month. That little reset feels so refreshing—year-long planners always end up feeling overwhelming to me. This planner does include a year-at-a-glance page, but the boxes are quite small, so I mainly use it as a quick reference when looking ahead to future dates.

At the beginning of each month, I fill in the calendar with upcoming events, and before I know it, the days are flying by.

July is shaping up to be our busiest month yet, and my calendar is filling up quickly. While it’s all fun and exciting, it’s still a lot to keep track of. I’m definitely going to cherish the days that don’t have anything scheduled and, hopefully, carve out some much-needed time to relax, play games, and simply enjoy being together as a family.

Staying organized plays a huge role in managing my anxiety, so having a quick-reference calendar right at the front of my planner is a lifesaver. It helps me stay grounded and calm when life gets hectic—especially during seasons when taking things one day at a time just isn’t quite enough.

On page 6, we turn to the “Future Log,” which includes two small calendars for the upcoming months. There’s just enough space to jot down quick notes—and honestly, I’m so focused on the now that I don’t even want to think about August or September. I can’t believe we’ll be shopping for school supplies before we know it!

On the opposite page, we’re introduced to a “Wheel of Life” activity, where we rank ten areas of our lives on a scale of 1–10 based on how fulfilled we currently feel. There’s also space underneath to write down ways we can increase our level of fulfillment in any or all of the areas.

I love this activity because life ebbs and flows throughout the month, and it serves as a gentle reminder of the areas we can continue working on each time we revisit it.

Page 8 offers space to reflect on the previous month, with sections to capture your wins, challenges, and favorite moments. It’s such a helpful way to pause and evaluate what’s working—and what isn’t. This is one of my favorite pages because it reminds me to acknowledge the small accomplishments that might otherwise go unnoticed. There’s also a section to jot down what you want to start, stop, and continue moving forward.

June was incredibly busy and filled with both wonderful and challenging moments. My June wins included fishing adventures, some sweet garage sale finds, having the kids home from school, and watching my flowers bloom. Some challenges included two infected toenails, deer flies, the stress of “trying to keep up,” and staying committed to my diet. My favorite moments included Charlie’s campfire peach cobbler, my peonies blooming, baseball, and quality family time. Even with all the chaos, it turned out to be a fun—and memorable—month!

Reflecting on these moments helps keep me grounded. Even when things feel difficult, life is still filled with so much goodness, and I love that this page encourages me to recognize and hold onto those moments.

Next up is the Monthly Intentions page. I love this section because it gives you space to set meaningful goals and revisit them throughout the month. With six categories and boxes to fill in, there’s plenty of room to jot down your thoughts. It’s not necessarily a to-do list—it’s more about starting the month with intention and reminding yourself what you’d like to focus on. This month, my intentions are pretty simple which is exactly what I need. While the list is short for now, I’m sure I’ll add more as the month goes on. I’m excited to keep checking in and see how far I can go!

As I mentioned earlier, Silk + Sonder is so much more than just a planner—and the trackers on pages 10 and 11 are proof of that. These pages feature a mood tracker and a habit tracker, giving you space to log your daily moods and monitor your habits throughout the month.

I find this feature especially helpful for identifying patterns, which is something that truly supports me in managing my anxiety. What I love most is how customizable these trackers are—you can focus on exactly what matters most to you, all while enjoying such a beautiful design.

Silk + Sonder typically ships about a week and a half before the new month begins, so while I’ve already created my “keys” for each tracker, I haven’t started filling them in just yet. I really do need to get back on track with low carb and start running again, though!!! Eeeeek!!

Page 12 features another tracker—this one focused on sleep. I don’t usually have trouble in that department, so I tend to skip it. The opposite page, however, is one of my favorites. Page 13 includes a gratitude jar, which offers plenty of space to jot down things I’m grateful for.

I actually prefer this style over a traditional gratitude log because I can add more items, start filling it in early, and even include little drawings or pictures, which makes it feel more personal and fun.

I highly recommend practicing gratitude, even if you don’t use this specific planner. Especially during tough or stressful times, it serves as a gentle reminder of all the goodness and joy that can be found in everyday life.

This month’s theme is Savoring, and on page 14, there are prompts inviting us to reflect on how we can be fully present and appreciate the moments we’re experiencing. It also encourages us to think about how we can create more meaningful experiences like these in our everyday lives. One prompt asks us to list five simple pleasures that we often overlook.

I sooo love this activity because it encourages intentionality and helps us really hone in on how we can slow down and make our everyday moments more meaningful.

We were also given a “Savoring the Everyday” activity on page 15, which encourages us to create a timeline of our day from the moment we wake up until we go to bed. We then write down how we feel during each part of the day and reflect on how we can pause and savor those moments more deeply.

I wrote down a few thoughts, but I do want to spend more time reflecting on this one so I can dig a little deeper. I love these added activities—they make the planner feel like so much more than just a place to organize my schedule!

The next page introduces a new activity called “Sensory Snapshot.” In this exercise, you’re asked to reflect on a moment when you felt joyful or peaceful and then use all five senses to describe it in detail. I decided to save this activity for the month of July, but I already have some wonderful ideas brewing in my head!

On the opposite page, there’s a beautiful poem by an unknown author titled “Lingering.” Its wording is short, but thoughtful and deeply meaningful, making it the perfect complement to July’s theme of Savoring.

The next page features a beautiful steaming teacup coloring page, and I started coloring it with colored pencils right away. I’ve been in need of some relaxation time, and I found myself having a hard time putting the pencils down. This truly is a helpful activity for reducing stress!

On the opposite page, there’s a “Savor the Moment” activity. This exercise encourages you to pause and notice the beauty in everyday experiences throughout the week. In 10 boxes, you’re invited to write down what you discovered or experienced through things like comforting scents, textures, and sounds.

This was such a fun activity, and I can’t wait to add more moments throughout the month of July. It will be wonderful to have these memories to look back on and revisit when life feels stressful or overwhelming.

Every Silk + Sonder journal includes a recipe, and this month’s dish calls for ingredients I don’t currently have on hand—which is usually the case for me with these recipes! This month’s featured recipe is Grilled Zucchini Carbonara, and while it sounds absolutely delicious, especially for summer, I’m missing almost every ingredient right now. If you happen to try this recipe before I make it to the grocery store, please let me know how it turns out!

On the opposite page is an “Savoring Collage” activity. Here, we’re given space to fill with words, phrases, drawings, or symbols that represent the little things we love to savor. While I haven’t started this activity yet, I did recently find some stickers in my scrapbooking supplies that I think would add a fun touch and really brighten up this page!

Blank sheets are always helpful and a great place to do some long division, write notes, and jot down addresses!

Each month, we get some kind of brain puzzle, and this time it’s a word search! These are my favorite, so I completed it quickly and all in one sitting. I do have some questions about the riddle, though! I can’t figure it out, and neither can my riddle-solving partner, Charlie!

On the opposite page, there’s an expense tracker. While it’s a great feature, I don’t personally use it since I already track my expenses in a Google Doc. That’s one of the things I really appreciate about this journal—it’s designed to be flexible and used in whatever way works best for you.

I love that this journal always starts on a Monday, and because July 1 falls on a Wednesday, we get a couple of bonus June days! When it comes to the journal as a whole, I probably spend the most time on these calendar pages. With sections for meal planning, to-do lists, habits and activities, shopping lists, and daily schedules, I truly write everything here.

These pages help keep me on track each day and give me that satisfying sense of accomplishment—because honestly, there’s nothing better than crossing something off a list! I also really appreciate the thoughtful extras included throughout these pages. While I don’t always fill out the section about how I want to feel each week, I found it especially helpful this time to write those intentions down and pray over them.

This journal is seriously so helpful and has become such an important part of my routine!

Tidying up with one last quote, the dictionary definition of "sonder," and the back cover, that's all there is to it. I have come to find that a key part of my day is when I sit and fill out my planner with my cup of coffee. This quiet time happens before the kids are awake, and kicks my day off to a good start before the chaos starts. It is extremely important for me to keep a consistent schedule for managing my anxiety and creating much more positive life, and this journal definitely is a big help in that.

The Verdict

I have to say, I really enjoyed July’s theme of Savoring because I needed the reminder that every day is a gift and that I need to slow down, relax, and truly savor each moment I’m given. Silk + Sonder has been an incredible source of support through both the good times and the challenging ones. It has truly become a necessity in my daily routine! Without this planner, I’d definitely feel lost (and so would my husband!).

I continue to be impressed with this subscription and can’t wait to see what August has in store.

I typically set aside about 15–20 minutes a day for this journal, flipping from front to back as I reflect, add to, and process what I’ve previously written. By the end of the month, my mind feels much more organized and grounded. The beauty of this planner is remarkable, and its portable size means I can easily carry it in my purse.

I’ve been so impressed with every aspect of this journal, and I’m really looking forward to continuing to learn more about myself—all while staying organized, enjoying a little daily quiet time, and prioritizing meaningful self-care.
