BREO BOX Review Summer 2026

While summer doesn't officially begin until June 21st, we here at the Peterson house have already been enjoying summer vacation for nine days! Even though the time is flying by, we've been having a great start to the season and were thrilled to find a box packed with goodies waiting on our doorstep the other day.

To take a little break from baseball games, lawn mowing, and all of our other summer activities, we eagerly opened this quarter's BREO BOX. Filled with fun, innovative gadgets and useful products, it was exciting to dig through everything and discover what was inside. The box only added to my already good mood!

Just like the previous seasonal BREO BOX, the summer edition arrived packaged in two sturdy cardboard boxes and a handy cloth sack—but I have to say, this season’s box was HUGE! Everything arrived safe and sound, and I couldn’t wait to dive in.

Side note: these cardboard boxes are perfect for wrapping gifts, and the cloth bags have been a lifesaver for hauling home dirty laundry from trips and conferences. I just love reusable bags!

Kicking off this quarter’s box, we received a sturdy card with a QR code. Scanning it takes you straight to the BREO BOX website, where you can check out all the included items! From detailed descriptions and retail values to photos and extra info, it’s the perfect way to learn about everything in the box and how to use it. Super handy!

ZWILLING Fresh & Save Vacuum Pump Kit - Retail Value $89

The first item I received was a really neat vacuum pump and storage bag kit. What makes this set especially impressive is that the bags are reusable, and the pump works surprisingly well!

I'll be honest—we already own a large vacuum sealer that gets plenty of use since we package all of our pheasant, fish, and venison to keep it fresh. However, this set is going to be incredibly handy for everyday use. I love that the bags are reusable, and the kit includes three different bag sizes, including one that is absolutely huge!

One feature that really caught my attention is that these bags can be used for marinating. According to the instructions, vacuum sealing can reduce marinating time to about 30 minutes instead of several hours. The bags are also great for extending the life of leftovers, keeping groceries fresher longer, and helping with meal prep.

I've already used one to store lettuce, and I definitely noticed that it stayed fresh longer than usual. While I haven't tried marinating anything yet, it's on my meal plan for this week, and I'm excited to see how well it works!

Cole & Mason Battersea Electric Mill Set - Retail Value $65

The second item I received was this absolutely gorgeous mill set. Honestly, it looks like something you'd find on a wedding registry because it's both beautiful and functional.

I've never owned a salt and pepper mill set before, but Charlie, at 11 years old, has really taken an interest in cooking—especially campfire cooking. He recently received some coarse smoked sea salt and was eager to try it out in the mill.

Powered by six AAA batteries, the set is a little on the heavy side, but it works wonderfully and looks fantastic displayed on our countertop. It's both a decorative piece and a practical kitchen tool.

There really isn't much better than freshly ground salt and pepper on a meal, and since our family is very food-oriented, having a set like this makes cooking and mealtime even more enjoyable. Overall, this was a beautiful and useful addition to our kitchen.

CaddyO iCube Wrapsulator - Retail Value $30.00

I was very curious when I saw the label "iCube" on this next item. Based on the packaging, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was thrilled when I opened the box and saw the actual product!

I've had plenty of can coolers over the years, but I've never seen one that incorporates ice packs. The design is incredibly clever. It features two ice packs that are shaped to wrap around a can while also cooling the bottom, helping keep drinks ice-cold for an extended period of time.

The pieces clip together to accommodate both standard and slim cans, and a neoprene sleeve fits over the outside so your hands stay comfortable while enjoying a perfectly chilled beverage. It's a simple concept, but one that works really well.

This was a fantastic addition to a summer-themed box, and I can already tell it's going to get a lot of use throughout the season!

Statik Aktive Open Earbuds - Retail Value $60.00

I've tried a variety of earbuds over the years, and while I do appreciate a good noise-canceling pair from time to time, this version is actually much more useful for my current stage of life.

Lately, I've been going on runs and bike rides with my kids, and wearing traditional noise-canceling earbuds isn't the safest option. These earbuds from Statik fit comfortably over the top of my ear and stay securely in place, even during exercise.

Instead of sitting inside the ear canal, they use a small speaker design that allows you to enjoy your music without completely blocking out the sounds around you. My son and I each wear one, and we're able to listen to our favorite tunes while we're out and about without disturbing the entire neighborhood.

Another feature I love is how comfortable they are. Because they don't sit directly in the ear, we don't experience the soreness that can come with traditional earbuds, and the battery life is impressively long as well.

Overall, this was a fantastic addition to the summer box and one that I know we'll be using all year long!

OXO Strawberry Huller - Retail Value $12.00

The last item I received was definitely one that will get a lot of use! OXO is one of my favorite kitchen gadget brands of all time. Their products are consistently high-quality, practical, and well-designed, and this strawberry huller is no exception.

We go through a lot of strawberries in our house, and Charlie even has his own strawberry garden. While he typically tosses whole strawberries—leaves and all—into the smoothie blender, I prefer mine without the greens.

This little huller makes removing the stems incredibly easy. It grabs the leafy tops cleanly without wasting any of the delicious fruit, which is something that's hard to do with a knife. Not only is it quicker and more efficient, but it's also a lot more fun to use!

Overall, this is a simple tool that does its job exceptionally well, and I'm thrilled to have it in my kitchen.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

Yes! This quarter’s BREO BOX did a great job curating a collection with a wide variety of uses. I appreciated that every item was high quality and that there was a good mix of high value items, but not a single "hero" item that took up the value of the box.

This quarter’s box retailed at over $256 and was one of the most useful boxes I have ever received. Charlie and I have been cooking up a storm lately, so this has been a great fit for our family, and we appreciated the earbuds and iCube Wrapsulator as well. Discovering new items is always a thrill for me, and if being the first among your friends to discover cool, techy finds is your jam, I highly recommend this box! I’m already looking forward to the fall BREO BOX.
