Silk + Sonder May 2026
May is just around the corner, which means we’re officially counting down to summer vacation! It honestly feels like I was just looking forward to this time last year, and now here we are again—I can’t believe how quickly time passes.
With baseball season in full swing, our schedule has become pretty hectic. We try to plan week by week, but lately it feels more like we’re taking things one day at a time. Without my Silk + Sonder planner, I’d be completely lost.
Between school, work, and sports, life is nonstop, but this beautiful pastel peach journal brings a little calm to the chaos. Not only is it lovely to look at, but it also gives me a chance to pause, reflect, and reset. It helps me stay organized, grounded, and just a bit more in control of everything going on. Honestly, I can’t imagine managing it all without it!
Integrity - The quality of being honest and true to oneself; living in alignment with one's values, even when it's challenging.
I love that Silk + Sonder chooses a unique theme each month, and I truly appreciate how thoughtfully Meha, the creator, curates each one. May’s theme is Integrity, and honestly, it’s exactly what I needed more than I realized.
We’re inching closer to summer, and this time of year always feels like a lot. With so much going on and the rush toward summer vacation, I need to remind myself to slow down and find my rhythm. I sometimes have to pause and recommit to being honest with myself and staying aligned with my values, even when others aren’t.
So this month, I’m focusing on integrity and working to be the person I want to be.
One of my favorite things about Silk + Sonder is receiving a fresh planner each month. That little reset is so refreshing—year-long planners always end up feeling overwhelming for me. This one does include a year-at-a-glance page, but the boxes are quite small, so I mainly use it for quick reference when looking ahead at future dates. At the beginning of each month, I fill in the calendar with upcoming events, and before I know it, the days are flying by.
May is already shaping up to be busier than April, and my calendar is quickly filling up, which honestly makes me a little nervous.
Staying organized plays a huge role in managing my anxiety, so having a quick-reference calendar right at the front of my planner is a lifesaver. It helps me stay grounded and calm when life gets hectic—especially on days when taking things one day at a time just isn’t quite enough.
On page 6, we turn to the “Future Log,” which includes two small calendars for the upcoming months. There’s just enough space to jot down quick notes—and honestly, I’m so focused on the now that I don’t even want to think about June or July… though I am excited to see summer vacation coming up fast!
On the opposite page, there’s a blank page that I can use for lists, notes, and anything else I need.
Page 8 offers space to reflect on the previous month, with sections to capture your wins, challenges, and favorite moments. It’s such a helpful way to pause and evaluate what’s working—and what isn’t. This is one of my favorite pages because it reminds me to acknowledge the small accomplishments that might otherwise go unnoticed. There’s also a section to jot down what you want to start, stop, and continue moving forward.
April didn’t look like it was going to be busy, but it turned out to be! My April wins included Snow Cross fun, Charlie’s Poetry and Punch accomplishment, Easter celebrations, and Charlie’s friend party. The challenges included feeling overwhelmed, Hank injuring his foot, and allergies. Our favorite moments included baseball games, thrift shopping, the NBA playoffs, and the countdown to summer, which all made for a really full and meaningful month.
Reflecting on these moments helps ground me. Even when things feel hard, life is still full of goodness—and I love that this page encourages me to hold onto that.
Next up is the Monthly Intentions page. I love this section because it gives you space to set meaningful goals and revisit them throughout the month. With six categories and boxes to fill in, there’s plenty of room to jot down your thoughts. It’s not necessarily a to-do list—it’s more about starting the month with intention and reminding yourself what you’d like to focus on. This month, my intentions are pretty simple which is exactly what I need. While the list is short for now, I’m sure I’ll add more as the month goes on. I’m excited to keep checking in and see how far I can go!
As I mentioned earlier, Silk + Sonder is so much more than just a planner—and the trackers on pages 10 and 11 are proof of that. These pages feature a mood tracker and a habit tracker, giving you space to log your daily moods and monitor your habits throughout the month. I find this feature especially helpful for spotting patterns, which is something that really supports me in managing my anxiety. What I love most is how customizable these trackers are—you can focus on exactly what matters to you, all wrapped up in such a beautiful design. Silk + Sonder usually ships about a week and a half before the new month begins, so while I’ve already created my “keys” for each tracker, I haven’t started filling them in just yet. I really do need to start back up on low carb and start running though!!! Eeeeek!!
Page 12 features another tracker—this one for sleep. I don’t usually have trouble in that department, so I tend to skip it. The opposite page, though, is one of my favorites. Page 13 includes a gratitude log, which offers 31 lines to jot down things I’m grateful for each day of the month.
I highly recommend this practice, even if you don’t use this specific planner. Especially during tough times, it serves as a gentle reminder of all the good things in life.
This month’s theme is Integrity, and on page 14 there are prompts inviting us to reflect on what living with integrity means to us personally. These thoughtful questions are a great way to slow down, reflect, and deepen our thinking so we can become more intentional in our daily lives.
We were also given an “Integrity Gap Map” on page 15, and while I haven’t completed it yet, I’m looking forward to exploring the space between “Who I Am” and “Who I Want to Be” this month. I love these kinds of reflective activities—they really help bring clarity, self-awareness, and a sense of direction.
The next page introduces a new activity called “The Inner Yes, Outer No.” In it, you’re asked to list two to three situations where your inner “no” was overridden by an external “yes.” I haven’t completed this activity yet, but I’m looking forward to spending more time reflecting on it.
On the opposite page, there’s a beautiful poem by Gary Dodd titled “Integrity.” Its wording is thoughtful and deeply meaningful, making it a perfect complement to May’s theme of Integrity.
The next page features a cute mandala-style coloring page that I actually had a little time to work on. While it has a lot of detail, it worked perfectly with my new, juicy gel pens! It felt so good to add some color to the page, and it lifted my mood in just a few minutes—which was great.
On the opposite page, there’s an “Acrostic Poem” activity. I had a great time creating my own acrostic poem using the word Integrity. I used the following words and felt they fit well: Intentional, Nobility, Trustworthy, Ethics and Equity, Generous, Respect, Intellect, Transparent, and Yes to Yourself.
I really appreciate how thoughtfully this journal includes so many different activities to help you become the best version of yourself.
Every Silk + Sonder journal includes a recipe, and this month’s dish calls for ingredients I don’t currently have on hand—which is usually the case with these recipes! This month’s recipe is a One Skillet Chicken Tzatziki and Orzo, and while I love the idea, I’m missing almost every ingredient right now. If you happen to try it, please let me know how it turns out! If it’s as good as it sounds, I might just have to give it a try.
On the opposite page is a “Create Your Own Bingo” prompt. This activity invites you to have some fun with self-care! I filled in the squares with different activities and have challenged myself to get a row this month—BINGO!
Blank sheets are always helpful and a great place to do some long division, write notes, and jot down addresses!
Each month, we get some kind of mind puzzle, and this time it’s Sudoku! I love these puzzles, but I have a hard time finishing them. It will probably take me the entire month to complete it, and that’s okay.
We also received a riddle. This month’s was pretty easy, and I’m fairly confident I got it right—though I do tend to overthink and second-guess answers that seem too simple.
On the opposite page, there’s an expense tracker. While it’s a great feature, I don’t personally use it since I track my expenses in a Google Doc instead. As always, this journal is designed to be used in whatever way works best for you!
I love that this journal always starts on a Monday, even if that means beginning in the previous month. This month started on Monday, April 27th, so I got a jump start! When it comes to the journal as a whole, I tend to spend most of my time on these calendar pages. With sections for meal plans, to-dos, habits and activities, shopping lists, and daily schedules, I write everything here. It keeps me on track each day and gives me that satisfying feeling of accomplishment—there’s truly nothing better than crossing an item off my list. I also appreciate the extra touches these pages include. While I don’t always fill out how I want to feel each week, this week I found it really helpful to write it down and pray over it. This journal is just so darn helpful!
Tidying up with one last quote, the dictionary definition of "sonder," and the back cover, that's all there is to it. I have come to find that a key part of my day is when I sit and fill out my planner with my cup of coffee. This quiet time happens before the kids are awake, and kicks my day off to a good start before I start my school day. It is extremely important for me to keep a consistent schedule for managing my anxiety and creating much more positive life, and this journal definitely is a big help in that.
The Verdict
I have to say, I really enjoyed May’s theme of Integrity because I needed the reminder to stay true to myself and my values. Silk + Sonder has been an incredible source of support through both the good times and the challenging ones. It has truly become a necessity! Without this planner, I’d definitely feel lost (and so would my husband!). I continue to be impressed with this subscription and can’t wait to see what June has in store.
I typically set aside about 15–20 minutes a day for this journal, flipping from front to back as I reflect, add to, and process what I’ve previously written. By the end of the month, my mind feels much more organized and grounded. The beauty of this planner is remarkable, and its portable size means I can easily carry it in my purse. I’ve been so impressed with every aspect, and I’m really looking forward to continuing to learn more about myself—all while staying organized, enjoying a little daily quiet time, and prioritizing meaningful self-care.
